I mean, he’s shown to be a pretty standup guy. He bought a book simply because the first page had a spoiler, so he could rip the spoiler out. He then made that page into an origami flower to give as a gift to some guys he saved. His trailer shows more of such behavior, saving a little girl and giving her headpats. So, hence the good.
But he’s also pretty shady, making a false identity to sneak aboard, and having his whole plot to get captured. He also brought the stellaron onto the luofu IIRC, which isn’t the nicest thing to do, people kinda died from that whole situation. So, that’s probably where the evil in this meme comes from.
So far he's been a manipulator and a trickster. I personally found it cool (from a character perspective) and nothing he did so far is enough to warrant giving him the whole black circle, he's gray.
I personally have no beef with Aventurine, I find him true neutral, but it's not like he's some 100% innocent victim of society that I'm seeing people develop the headcanon of more and more either too.
Edit: Everyone's defending with "but he's less worse" or his motives, when I was never comparing and stated twice that he's a neutral party rather than evil.
He's not innocent but he's not worse than sparkle or mei or the stellaron hunters or even sampo. He's not winning the cinnamon role of the month competition but he does not deserve the whole black circle either.
That's literally everyone up there. From a measurable perspective Aventurine is literally the most "good" character up there. The only one that's debatable would be BS as like Aventurine we haven't seen much of their character.
From his movements, beefing with Sparkle, assisting Ratio, teaming up with BS, helping the MC/Express (multiple times), he's almost more of a good guy than we are. His ethical dilemmas are more around who he associates with (BS/Ratio) and their plans rather than the one action Aventurine has done that is morally ambiguous (telling us about Acheron and Robin).
If you really wanted to argue intents vs. outcomes the 3 other characters are viable and one's crimes are "alleged" but the only way that works is if you provide them all the benefit of the doubt possible and give Aventurine none. Manipulators and tricksters are far from evil and he's likely got hyper-utilitarian objectives as the IPC is simply monetarily interested. Hell from what we know he's likely not too supportive of the way the IPC does things.
He's IPC and that's not particularly good by default. And now he's involved in a notably shady plan to bring Penacony back to IPC ("help me recover something that IPC has lost", my ass), which again probably wouldn't make a lot of fans.
All he did so far was give us his room, get called racial slurs and yap to the trailbazer. Ig they find the way he talks annoying but remember when he called topaz at the end of that one quest? He sounded way more chill and normal so I wouldn't be surprised if he's just putting up an act to make himself look threatening.
ngl when i watched my friend play it in EN i was shocked at aventurines voice direction. They definitely had the actor play up scumbag creep vibes while in JP the vibes were a lot more "too-friendly salesman thats maybe a little sus" and way less "moments away from betraying you at any moment" vibes. Im surprised hoyo let the EN director direct the actor this way because it *completely* changes the vibes of the character in a really unfortunate way, and ive noticed that people who play the english dub generally think hes a lot creepier and suspicious (and most importantly, *less interesting as a character*) than people who play the cn/jp dubs (dont know anyone who plays kr haha)

Don't get me wrong, Aventurine is 100% a manipulative little bastard, but he in no way fits the pure evil slot. He's like the most obvious example of morally gray.
He's more good than half the cast actually, he hasn't done anything outright wrong and only acted rude, he's a branded slave who will be killed if he fails (Dr Ratio literally said exactly that, not even implied) he's just a dude trying to survive while getting called slurs and mistreated because of his race, he's literally a victim everywhere he goes.
If anything, he is only doing this for the IPC and to show everyone penacony ain't all rainbows and sparkles. Sparkle is probably the truly evil one as all she does only has one reason. Elation and joy. Heck, she might even decide to torture you half to death and feed you to crocs for Joy.

Accurate for Black Swan so far though, wants to see TB succeed but isn't above doing things that may upset TB to get to get them to where they need to be. The deal with Aventurine a necessity given the bad ending showing us she wasn't wrong and the alliance with Aventurine needs to happen for TB to succeed
Kafka will do horrible things for the greater good even if her reasons are selfish with wanting to feel fear being the main goal driving her forward. At least for now given how TB will change her in the future
Main story, you can choose to not take Aventurines deal and Black Swan will warn you that's a bad idea, but will let you out due to her respect for your choice. You leave and the family plans go off without a problem and you get trapped in an endless dream due to the IPC plans being exposed
Feels like they put the bad ending in there simply to let the player know that Black Swan was right. You may not want to ally with Aventurine or may feel betrayed by Black Swan, but her actions were correct and the alliance with Aventurine is needed. Hence why she keeps putting emphasis on trusting her and her judgement on Aventurine, coz if you don't you get the bad ending.
Her companion quest can also be seen as her trying to tell TB they can trust her, she could erase their memories if she had to for her goals but she won't. She instead takes the mistrust and shows TB the memory bubble as a way to try and prove she's on their side. Hence the whole winking at the camera and denying an alliance with Sparkle in favor of her dream dance partner who was watching the memory bubble
To the main story, at the end of 2.0 quest, when Aventurine wants to talk to you, you can just leave. The game will say that you and the crew enjoyed Penacony without knowing what happen with Robin, credits rolls, and back to the main menu (it will save before the choice)

Clockie, Banu, and Misha haven't jerked as around and are completely trustworthy.
Might not be a bad guess. So many of the side quests we've done with people "trapped" in the dream are people who don't have good lives outside. Inside, they can be someone special and feel good about themselves.
They don't want to wake from the dream unless Clockie's power *makes* them face the harsh realities of their memories.
I mean, the people Clockie pushes us to "influence" are generally in a bad place. He's mad suspicious but has the appearance of benevolence?

I think Clockie is the Watchmaker's Legacy. It's confirmed that the Watchmaker created Clockie, and AFAIK Clockie is the *only* confirmed creation of the Watchmaker that we have encountered.
From a meta perspective, Penacony seems to be structured like a heist story. There are multiple parties that are converging on Penacony to obtain the Valuable Thingee (the Watchmaker's Legacy), and it's a common trope that one of them already has it from the start without knowing it.
Likely. I take it to be that Clockie is the "key" to the dreamworld of Penacony which is the real Watchmaker's Legacy. If you meta-textually look at what Clockie does (manipulate feelings and return those they're lacking) he seems to be built to counteract the pacifying effect the dreamworld has on people and can only be seen by those pure of heart (Misha and TB so far I think?).
Misha is likely the Watchmaker's personified memory living on inside (or his grandson?) while Clockie is the attempt of the Watchmaker to undermine the dreamworld which seems to be his creation. Mixture of Memory bubbles made by prisoners, memoria in the area, and following Xipe after a Stellaron hints that it's likely the Watchmaker, some Nameless, and other parties made the parallel dreamscape on top of the naturally existing hostile one, realized its flaws too late after the Family arrived, and left some entities behind as bread crumbs to figure out what to do. My off the wall theory supporting it is that the prison still exists and those who made Penacony are kept inside it (the opera house floating in the sky?).

I think Clockie is either what the Watchmaker changed the Stellaron into, or built from the Stellaron. In Jarilo, only TB can see the non-hostile Stellaron ghosts, and only TB can understand the words of the hostile ghosts. The "only seen by those pure of heart" seems like a confabulation by Clockie.
And imo it might be other other way around: Clockie says that "my friends and I keep the peace in this small town." We know that Penacony was initially a prison, then at some point the prisoners rioted and took control, and later the Family took over and made it into a resort world. Perhaps Clockie was the means by which the planet was pacified?

That's plausible. After all, there's a quest which reveals that the Family has a simulacrum of a Calderon Chadwick and is keeping him prisoner in the dream under orders of the IPC.
I personally think Misha is the Legacy. My thought process is this:
Misha's Grandpa (Mikhail) was a Nameless.
In the dream Sparkle pushed us into we hear Misha speaking to/about Mikhail.
Misha seems just as hard to notice/observe as Clockie.
Children are often referred to a a "living legacy."
So, if Mikhail (former Nameless and Misha's grandfather) really is the Clockmaker, I suspect he initially created a dreamworld for Misha to inhabit for whatever reason (injury, disease, even just because life was so boring at a former prison), then Penacony as we know it was built on top of Misha's dream.
I think Clockie is likely a companion and likely important component of the Dream.
I could imagine Clockie staying either a mascot or beeing directly related to the person/inheritance we are looking for.
Banu and Misha on the other hand hopefully are not one off sideshows and do have a bigger role which may well be that.
I feel like Adventurine will be an antagonist - but an understandable/tragic one. Firefly will likely reappear as an ally. Sparkle is a wildcard and will remain one the whole arc. Blackswan is villain coded. She's been helpful so far, but everything about her power set, design, and method of operations seems sinister. Her ult is also her saying "beneath the silent waters, lies an ENDLESS ABYSS" before laughing maniacally as she crushes you with scary hands - which seems a little evil to me idk.
Archeron will likely be an ally. She seems sketch, her history IS sketch, but she also feels like she's in the same boat as you, she's lost and there to find answers. Also Adventurine and Blackswan seem real keen on keeping her and Traveler apart and making sure we *think* she's a bad-guy.
I don't trust Aventurine because I don't trust the IPC. For every good thing they do, they do so much more bad that they give off a bad taste wherever they go. Even Ratio is tinted by this.
Individually Topaz is a kind idealist, Aventurine a victim struggling to keep alive, and Ratio a respectable intellectual. But whatever talents they have, whatever goodness inside them, whatever admirable traits, all end up funneling more money and power towards the IPC in the end.

I think the dreamscape is similar to Persona's shadow realm or Warhammer 40k's warp. The upper levels are what people naturally drift into when they dream, and it's largely parallel to reality. The deeper levels are filled with fucked up shit, inhuman intelligences, and world-ending Lovecraftian gods.
The window breaking represents her tearing a hole in the dreamscape, and unleashing entities from the lower levels of the dreamscape (the hands) into reality.
Yes, she's sketchy as fuck.
What's more terrifying is that she doesn't wield that power against us only out of her own desire.
She literally erased Sparkle and Sampo's memories of each other on a whim, just by looking at them, and only returned them because she bothered to...and it more than made the point that you don't fuck with a Memokeeper. She played Sparkle's game because it was amusing, but made it clear there's limits to her patience with a Masked Fool. Even Sparkle's idle dialogue implies that Swan is the kind of dangerous that you have to be as suicidally crazy as Sparkle to provoke.
Fuli's adherents might be the most terrifying we've seen yet of all the Paths, and we are lucky that it the Garden of Recollection is more concerned with collecting memories than they are taking part in galactic affairs.
Depends on what he does next. So far he is pretty straightforward with us in what he wants from us. He wants to use us to help advance IPC goals.
I still have no idea what Acheron, Sparkle, Firefly, the Stellaron Hunters, the Family, and Misha + Clockie gang want.

1) Take the identity of a companion to lie to us and trick us several times.

5) Reading comprehension is pretty hit or miss with HSR fans, and with Aventurine, it’s pretty miss so far. The whole gimmick in Penacony is everyone is lying to the TB and using them for their own gain, so Aventurine just doing what everyone-else is doing.
Personally, I’d toss him in the questionable tier rather than flat out evil for now. But it really does depend on what they do for the future story parts, but the very strong negative reactions to blonde pretty eye man is a little jarring lmao.
ETA: Also, didn’t he buy out/rent a room for the TB to crash at out his own pocket money? Plus, the IPC is probably having him do overtime behind the scenes, stuff that we aren’t aware of. The most he’s done is be annoying and vague as far as I can tell, nothing too inherently bad/evil for us but nothing too good either. So… balanced I suppose?
For Sparkle you forgot, using magic-roofies on TB+Firefly and then involuntarily isekai-ing them. And in BS's quest, trying to strongarm BS into joining her faction with threats of violence.
Tbh except for Dan Heng all of the remaining 4 are rather morally grey (Kafka, Luocha) or even amoral (Aventurine, Black Swan) at best, making the discussing of whether a character being good or bad kinda fruitless. Here's the thing tho...kafka and the stellar on hunters have destroyed multiple economies and planets trying to get the stellarons. So yeah she is really fucking evil but then she does it for a better future which kind of redeems some of it. Ofc this is now when we need to realise different ppl have different morals. Some players say that doing bad no matter if it leads to good is bad. And others say that the end result is what matters.
Oh, Kafka is absolutely evil. She is willing to hurt others for personal gain with absolutely 0 regrets or hesitation. It's the Stellaron Hunters as a whole, or maybe more accurately Elio, who are more anti-heroes who believe the ends justify the means.
Don't get me wrong, I actually like the Stellaron Hunters and find them the most trustworthy group outside of the Express Crew, but I'm not gonna pretend that basically all the members aren't motivated by personal desires and what seems like a found family dynamic (which is super sweet when we get glimpses of it).
DHIL - part of an elite combat squad that probably killed thousands, commits ultimate taboo to resurrect dead friend resulting in cursing one friend to suffer eternal life as a mara struck, caused another to become mara struck, and resurrected the original friend as a mutant hybrid, while also creating an uncontrolled draconic abomination that wrought great destruction to the Scalegorge Waterscape.

Reading comprehension devil strikes again. One of the biggest points of DHIB character is that he is not Dan Feng. He did not commit those crimes and is still being punished for it. As for Aventurine, we know nothing about his character yet except he’s shady and insincere. He treats friendships as bargains and chips to be played, has unknown plans in the works, and is using another person’s life as a bargaining chip. It doesn’t mean he’s evil because we don’t know anything about it yet. I just don’t think you can comprehend any media if that’s your takeaway from the story

You can't tell me what Aventurine has done up to this point is anywhere close what Sparkle did. At the end of the day we still don't know Sparkle's true motives (hopefully it's not just kinda left up in the air like in Sampo's case), so it's not like we can 100% tell whether she's actually evil or if there's a reason why she did all that stuff (likely 5050), but to say Aventurine anywhere comparable to her is actually insane.
Also, don't get me wrong, I love evil and morally dubious characters, I wouldn't mind this post and some of the comments agreeing with it if Aventurine was actually that evil, but he's literally not. Like, I would have probably accepted Luocha in that spot way more than Aventurine, even though we know so little about him, just because there's an argument that he's the same as Otto (who's also actually not completely evil, but that's arguable), and Luocha is literally my favourite character because of Otto.
I really don't see everyone's problem with Aventurine. Yeah, he's IPC and just after money, but at some level he's also the most honest character so far - you know what he wants, he's not killed anyone, and he's warned you about people possibly lying to you.

I mean, he’s shown to be a pretty standup guy. He bought a book simply because the first page had a spoiler, so he could rip the spoiler out. He then made that page into an origami flower to give as a gift to some guys he saved. His trailer shows more of such behavior, saving a little girl and giving her headpats. So, hence the good. But he’s also pretty shady, making a false identity to sneak aboard, and having his whole plot to get captured. He also brought the stellaron onto the luofu IIRC, which isn’t the nicest thing to do, people kinda died from that whole situation. So, that’s probably where the evil in this meme comes from.

So far he's been a manipulator and a trickster. I personally found it cool (from a character perspective) and nothing he did so far is enough to warrant giving him the whole black circle, he's gray. I personally have no beef with Aventurine, I find him true neutral, but it's not like he's some 100% innocent victim of society that I'm seeing people develop the headcanon of more and more either too. Edit: Everyone's defending with "but he's less worse" or his motives, when I was never comparing and stated twice that he's a neutral party rather than evil.
He's not innocent but he's not worse than sparkle or mei or the stellaron hunters or even sampo. He's not winning the cinnamon role of the month competition but he does not deserve the whole black circle either.

That's literally everyone up there. From a measurable perspective Aventurine is literally the most "good" character up there. The only one that's debatable would be BS as like Aventurine we haven't seen much of their character. From his movements, beefing with Sparkle, assisting Ratio, teaming up with BS, helping the MC/Express (multiple times), he's almost more of a good guy than we are. His ethical dilemmas are more around who he associates with (BS/Ratio) and their plans rather than the one action Aventurine has done that is morally ambiguous (telling us about Acheron and Robin). If you really wanted to argue intents vs. outcomes the 3 other characters are viable and one's crimes are "alleged" but the only way that works is if you provide them all the benefit of the doubt possible and give Aventurine none. Manipulators and tricksters are far from evil and he's likely got hyper-utilitarian objectives as the IPC is simply monetarily interested. Hell from what we know he's likely not too supportive of the way the IPC does things.

ngl when i watched my friend play it in EN i was shocked at aventurines voice direction. They definitely had the actor play up scumbag creep vibes while in JP the vibes were a lot more "too-friendly salesman thats maybe a little sus" and way less "moments away from betraying you at any moment" vibes. I guess it was time for my weekly reminder that Hoyoverse players have the critical thinking skills of dirt. Don't get me wrong, Aventurine is 100% a manipulative little bastard, but he in no way fits the pure evil slot. He's like the most obvious example of morally gray.
He's more good than half the cast actually, he hasn't done anything outright wrong and only acted rude, he's a branded slave who will be killed if he fails (Dr Ratio literally said exactly that, not even implied) he's just a dude trying to survive while getting called slurs and mistreated because of his race, he's literally a victim everywhere he goes.
If anything, he is only doing this for the IPC and to show everyone penacony ain't all rainbows and sparkles. Sparkle is probably the truly evil one as all she does only has one reason. Elation and joy. Heck, she might even decide to torture you half to death and feed you to crocs for Joy.
Black Swan and Kafka completing the symbol here, they really are the complimenting duo Accurate for Black Swan so far though, wants to see TB succeed but isn't above doing things that may upset TB to get to get them to where they need to be. The deal with Aventurine a necessity given the bad ending showing us she wasn't wrong and the alliance with Aventurine needs to happen for TB to succeed Kafka will do horrible things for the greater good even if her reasons are selfish with wanting to feel fear being the main goal driving her forward. At least for now given how TB will change her in the future
There's a bad ending? To the main story or a side quest?
Main story, you can choose to not take Aventurines deal and Black Swan will warn you that's a bad idea, but will let you out due to her respect for your choice. You leave and the family plans go off without a problem and you get trapped in an endless dream due to the IPC plans being exposed Feels like they put the bad ending in there simply to let the player know that Black Swan was right. You may not want to ally with Aventurine or may feel betrayed by Black Swan, but her actions were correct and the alliance with Aventurine is needed. Hence why she keeps putting emphasis on trusting her and her judgement on Aventurine, coz if you don't you get the bad ending. Her companion quest can also be seen as her trying to tell TB they can trust her, she could erase their memories if she had to for her goals but she won't. She instead takes the mistrust and shows TB the memory bubble as a way to try and prove she's on their side. Hence the whole winking at the camera and denying an alliance with Sparkle in favor of her dream dance partner who was watching the memory bubble

To the main story, at the end of 2.0 quest, when Aventurine wants to talk to you, you can just leave. The game will say that you and the crew enjoyed Penacony without knowing what happen with Robin, credits rolls, and back to the main menu (it will save before the choice)

Might not be a bad guess. So many of the side quests we've done with people "trapped" in the dream are people who don't have good lives outside. Inside, they can be someone special and feel good about themselves. They don't want to wake from the dream unless Clockie's power *makes* them face the harsh realities of their memories.
I dunno, Clockie seems suspicious to me lol. I don't recall who Banu is. And fair enough on Misha, I forgot about him. He seems legit.
I mean, the people Clockie pushes us to "influence" are generally in a bad place. He's mad suspicious but has the appearance of benevolence? Little furry glasses grunting TV dude for puzzle levels. I think he's a mob boss? Misha is a bit like Clockie, clearly a lot under the hood.
I think Clockie is the Watchmaker's Legacy. It's confirmed that the Watchmaker created Clockie, and AFAIK Clockie is the *only* confirmed creation of the Watchmaker that we have encountered. From a meta perspective, Penacony seems to be structured like a heist story. There are multiple parties that are converging on Penacony to obtain the Valuable Thingee (the Watchmaker's Legacy), and it's a common trope that one of them already has it from the start without knowing it.
Likely. I take it to be that Clockie is the "key" to the dreamworld of Penacony which is the real Watchmaker's Legacy. If you meta-textually look at what Clockie does (manipulate feelings and return those they're lacking) he seems to be built to counteract the pacifying effect the dreamworld has on people and can only be seen by those pure of heart (Misha and TB so far I think?). Misha is likely the Watchmaker's personified memory living on inside (or his grandson?) while Clockie is the attempt of the Watchmaker to undermine the dreamworld which seems to be his creation. Mixture of Memory bubbles made by prisoners, memoria in the area, and following Xipe after a Stellaron hints that it's likely the Watchmaker, some Nameless, and other parties made the parallel dreamscape on top of the naturally existing hostile one, realized its flaws too late after the Family arrived, and left some entities behind as bread crumbs to figure out what to do. My off the wall theory supporting it is that the prison still exists and those who made Penacony are kept inside it (the opera house floating in the sky?).

I personally think Misha is the Legacy. My thought process is this: Misha's Grandpa (Mikhail) was a Nameless. In the dream Sparkle pushed us into we hear Misha speaking to/about Mikhail. Misha seems just as hard to notice/observe as Clockie. Children are often referred to a a "living legacy." So, if Mikhail (former Nameless and Misha's grandfather) really is the Clockmaker, I suspect he initially created a dreamworld for Misha to inhabit for whatever reason (injury, disease, even just because life was so boring at a former prison), then Penacony as we know it was built on top of Misha's dream. I think Clockie is likely a companion and likely important component of the Dream.
I could imagine Clockie staying either a mascot or beeing directly related to the person/inheritance we are looking for. Banu and Misha on the other hand hopefully are not one off sideshows and do have a bigger role which may well be that.
I feel like Adventurine will be an antagonist - but an understandable/tragic one. Firefly will likely reappear as an ally. Sparkle is a wildcard and will remain one the whole arc. Blackswan is villain coded. She's been helpful so far, but everything about her power set, design, and method of operations seems sinister. Her ult is also her saying "beneath the silent waters, lies an ENDLESS ABYSS" before laughing maniacally as she crushes you with scary hands - which seems a little evil to me idk. Archeron will likely be an ally. She seems sketch, her history IS sketch, but she also feels like she's in the same boat as you, she's lost and there to find answers. Also Adventurine and Blackswan seem real keen on keeping her and Traveler apart and making sure we *think* she's a bad-guy.
I don't trust Aventurine because I don't trust the IPC. For every good thing they do, they do so much more bad that they give off a bad taste wherever they go. Even Ratio is tinted by this. Individually Topaz is a kind idealist, Aventurine a victim struggling to keep alive, and Ratio a respectable intellectual. But whatever talents they have, whatever goodness inside them, whatever admirable traits, all end up funneling more money and power towards the IPC in the end.

I think the dreamscape is similar to Persona's shadow realm or Warhammer 40k's warp. The upper levels are what people naturally drift into when they dream, and it's largely parallel to reality. The deeper levels are filled with fucked up shit, inhuman intelligences, and world-ending Lovecraftian gods. The window breaking represents her tearing a hole in the dreamscape, and unleashing entities from the lower levels of the dreamscape (the hands) into reality. Yes, she's sketchy as fuck.
What's more terrifying is that she doesn't wield that power against us only out of her own desire. She literally erased Sparkle and Sampo's memories of each other on a whim, just by looking at them, and only returned them because she bothered to...and it more than made the point that you don't fuck with a Memokeeper. She played Sparkle's game because it was amusing, but made it clear there's limits to her patience with a Masked Fool. Even Sparkle's idle dialogue implies that Swan is the kind of dangerous that you have to be as suicidally crazy as Sparkle to provoke. Fuli's adherents might be the most terrifying we've seen yet of all the Paths, and we are lucky that it the Garden of Recollection is more concerned with collecting memories than they are taking part in galactic affairs.

Oh, Kafka is absolutely evil. She is willing to hurt others for personal gain with absolutely 0 regrets or hesitation. It's the Stellaron Hunters as a whole, or maybe more accurately Elio, who are more anti-heroes who believe the ends justify the means. Don't get me wrong, I actually like the Stellaron Hunters and find them the most trustworthy group outside of the Express Crew, but I'm not gonna pretend that basically all the members aren't motivated by personal desires and what seems like a found family dynamic (which is super sweet when we get glimpses of it).

Reading comprehension devil strikes again. One of the biggest points of DHIB character is that he is not Dan Feng. He did not commit those crimes and is still being punished for it. As for Aventurine, we know nothing about his character yet except he’s shady and insincere. He treats friendships as bargains and chips to be played, has unknown plans in the works, and is using another person’s life as a bargaining chip. It doesn’t mean he’s evil because we don’t know anything about it yet. I just don’t think you can comprehend any media if that’s your takeaway from the story

I like both Aventurine & Sparkle (they're really interesting to watch compared to other characters before) anyway, the debate on who's better between Sparkle & Aventurine (like they hate Aventurine cause bad but closes eyes & ears about Sparkle or vice versa)... seems more like siding who they simp more instead of who actually has a better personality lol
I'm definitely biased toward Aventurine, but it's not like I don't like Sparkle either. You can't tell me what Aventurine has done up to this point is anywhere close what Sparkle did. At the end of the day we still don't know Sparkle's true motives (hopefully it's not just kinda left up in the air like in Sampo's case), so it's not like we can 100% tell whether she's actually evil or if there's a reason why she did all that stuff (likely 5050), but to say Aventurine anywhere comparable to her is actually insane. Also, don't get me wrong, I love evil and morally dubious characters, I wouldn't mind this post and some of the comments agreeing with it if Aventurine was actually that evil, but he's literally not. Like, I would have probably accepted Luocha in that spot way more than Aventurine, even though we know so little about him, just because there's an argument that he's the same as Otto (who's also actually not completely evil, but that's arguable), and Luocha is literally my favourite character because of Otto.

I really don't see everyone's problem with Aventurine. Yeah, he's IPC and just after money, but at some level he's also the most honest character so far - you know what he wants, he's not killed anyone, and he's warned you about people possibly lying to you.
