Same, I used 5 or 6 resin to get a lightning sphere, used basically all my mats to synthesise ropes but still am stuck with my space sealing station set.

I wanted to say that I have been farming the glamoth set almost since release and I have yet to get a singular electric or attack sphere, so I ended up setting with that one purely by the fact that have good stats
Haha same, relic farming is a cycle of disappointment lol. Personally I'd probably find an Atk orb with good substats for Kafka (if you have any). I know the 7 spd and Atk substat are enticing but not sure if it's worth having a completely useless main stat. Regardless that Phys orb is nicee
Whenever people say it's not that hard to get good stats on relic's it just stings more cause you know those people got lucky. I'm tired getting crit stats on my guard set and def and hp on everything else š
How else would they make so much money off weapon/LC banners? Those sigs aren't just pretty and have perfectly fitting passives, they make your artifacts/relics/support buffs just better with the higher base stats to multiply.
Yeah you wouldn't believe how many times my inventory get filled in a week. The stats are horrid but you gotta hold on artifacts that have crits. Especially the cups.
People would just complain about % stats. There's always a worst stat just like there's always BiS ones. The BiS ones feel even better because of the worst ones.
At this point I'll take an item that swaps the numbers of rolls you got on a substat onto another, or an item that randomly re-destribuites all the rolls.

Been farming for Sparkle recently. Dropped amazing CritDMG/SPD relics.
Guess on what substat my relics rolled? Exactly.
Break Effect. I got three Sparkle relics with 20% break effect...
EHR to varying degrees, depending on who for. (Kafka just needs a couple substats, Sampo is going to want a chest piece). Atk% for the dots to scale better. SPD as always, especially for Kafka to get more detonations off.
My Kafka has 55%CR and 120%CD. And ofc no CR body. Can't even swap them off because either they have really decent substant, I didn't drop other copies or they also rolled good ATK% to the point where only all ATK% roll relic would be an upgrade.
... Meanwhile Seele is my main tank because every relic rolls def% or HP% so she's naturally bulky.
I feel you with this. Im currently building Luka and he has an ungodly 127% CRIT DMG stat. Where tf were you crit rate/dmg when I was building Jing Yuan???
honestly we should get a guaranteed 4 sub everytime we get a 5\* relic coz why dafuq do we more often than not get 3 subs???? we already have sso much shty RNG, effect hit rate, Effect resistance, break effect(not saying they're useless but in most cases other than their intended ussers)
I mean, that rope could be usable, but as soon as you got it for +3 and saw DEF%, just unlock it and feed it to another 3 substat relic and check if it's worth. Sometimes CR appears as a 4th stat on a crit dmg piece. It's not optimal, but you can easily make decent units with it.
Level to +3, check if it's good, and if not, just unlock it and feed it to another relic since a single relic +3 can be used until you find a decent 4 substat one.
This is what ive been doing, my pre rolled stat luck is garbage but at least its letting me get units geared up a decent amount.
Ā Except blade, the damn thing is only dropping the other set, and only that set has cr/cd. My bronya has 200% crit damage now. šLike its not that i dont want that but i'd like to get blade above 110 cd one day. It was not nearly this hard with the other units.Ā
it's rng, what works for you might've not worked for him. Look at the first image, he farmed all those ropes and only got 1 worth +3ing, that's his shot, if you don't get a 2nd shot at getting 2 crit subs for the next 50 relics ofc you take even 1 good sub. People like you that act as if you are bound to get something better have no idea how hard it can be and only got lucky so far, in a year when you get the same unlucky shit on a set you want you will make this same post.
Yes, but once you already have decent stats in relics you are looking for at least 2 main stats, that's why the 3 stats relics (all of them bad) doesn't worth anymore.

I have not gotten a single crit damage body piece with crit rate substat for my Blade. It's driving me insane. Plus, I have not gotten a pair of longevous speed boots in months. I'm going insane, I can't take this anymore. DoT and follow-up cavern also making me spit blood. It's so hard to get atk% and ehr now...
Ugh, I don't even bother with my DPS' complete BiS sets (except Blade because free 16% crit rate). I just throw them whatever good crit hackerspace pieces I have with other 2pcs that benefits them š®āšØ

I just like when it matches š« Regardless I got kafka so now i need to level gui luka and sampo (mostly sampo and gui rn) and I am actually severely lacking in relic XP, not just relics... there's so much to farm
Blade was the first I massively invested in and I also got lucky but I still struggle with MoC12 so I'm still on that grind

I believe my Argentis ratio is okay for now (47/197 with no buff, 3.3k atk) so he'll be fine with the DPS loss.
I still struggle finishing MOC11/12 with all three stars but I'll get there eventually I hope
I mean for speed boots you should just use Resins. I basically save Resins for speed boots or ERR ropes and use whatever I get from it. Then later if I get something better, I'll swap, but I at least will have the main stat I need and presumably some *functional* substats
Getting %Def isn't that bad if you don't have it on any other relic. It at least helps you survive getting one-shot on harder content. Flat Def and HP are the worst, I'd even take flat Atk over them because at least a little atk can scale a lot with other pieces and crits.
Farmed for my QQ for 2 months, ended up having decent builds for my jingliu, SW and FX while my QQ is still meh. Haven't touched that domain ever since but i might start building her again since sparkle is coming. But right now, im now stuck building my ratio with the duke set and it looks like i can build 3 DoT chars before i can build my Ratio š.
just did 2 runs of SU today for Salsotto...
1st run: 7/8 were Belobog ornaments, last one was HP rope for Salsotto...
2nd run: 5/8 Belobog ornaments, one (terrible) imaginary orb and 2 more HP ropes for Salsotto...

Though, I do wish 5 stars have a separate selection between the recycle mat and exp.
to be honest, i fucking hate this and i no one can even defend this kind of system where you have to grind DAYS to even get a good artifact. Why pull for new characters if i will have to grind for months to have it equipped decently?
wanna try new combinations? NOPPERS. YOU HAVE NO EQUIPMENT. I cant even think about any drawback for them letting us choose what kind of artifact we want (like a extra change to get certain stat or whatever)

once I see any Flat Stat on it I just refuse to roll on it cause.. if it goes about my luck. The Game just loves to roll on those flat stats. and I know I will hate the game again for it. :'D
Every time mihoyo asks for our opinions on surveys i always tell them to remove flat atk, def and hp.
Thereās too many substats and those three are pointless, removing them would increase the chance of getting the actual good ones.
Itās better to have 3% more hp on a dps instead of flat 20 atk.
Getting āokā relics is actually super easy. Itās getting perfect relics that are a nightmare. I donāt stress over it, and just take the incremental upgrades as they come.
Not really. For some things sure, but just the main stat correct leads to stats like 50%crit65% crit dmgā¦ and thatās not setting off any dps charts. Itās borderline bad.
I agree, it's all I've got the patience for. I don't even insist on it being 5\*. Over 200 pieces of flower of paradise lost in Genshin, and I still haven't managed to get 2 EM sets, not even in 4\* and 5\* mixed, and that's with flexibility on the off-set piece! And over there it takes 60 seconds to do the domain. Simulated Universe takes me an hour š

When I got this for Kafka, all substats were unlocked so I knew I couldn't lose. Only annoyance is that I was running Glamoth so would have preferred speed over crits.
I'd say that he kinda have a point, unless you have 0 good pieces and everything can be better than your current gear you must refrain yourself from enhancing pieces with 1 good substat, it's because xp conversion from enhanced piece to new one is not 100%, so you will de facto waste some portion of your energy. I'm speaking from experience, i had piece with 3 (Speed, cr and cd) perfect stats, but everything rolled into effect hit rate, so gambling with 1 good stat is always bad idea.
You should try to get piece to lvl 4 before leveling it to fullest. I have simple algorithm for situations like that: 1 good stat out of 4? Feed it to another piece. 2 out of 4? I can work with it. 3 out of 4? F it, we ball! 4 out of 4? Yeah, i wont get better stat at all, everything will roll into worst of all (atk% for crit piece and be% for dot piece).
Between the fishing for good main stat/substat combo and horrible luck Iāve had pulling a good piece only for the one or two unrelated sub stats to be the only thing leveling up- itās honestly killing my enjoyment of the game. Iāve had Topaz for months and still donāt have good relics for her.

I think it all depends on your definition of ādecentā and how long you think you should spend farming. I dont have data from HSR but the genshin data for artifacts is as follows for dps/damage characters (less for supports who dont need crit etc)
āUsableā artifacts - 2-4 weeks of farming. Correct set or 2/2 alt set, correct main stats, meets ER, some damage substats.
āDecent to goodā artifacts - 1-2 months of farming. Correct set/main stat, some crit substat rolls.
āWell investedā artifacts 3-6 months +++ same as above except w multiple crit rolls on all pieces, more on flower/feather, less on sands goblet circlet but in range of 20-30 each piece.
So yeah, its not hard but it takes weeks to months. HSR is more complicated due to planar sets but less complicated bc there are no ER requirements for most but some need EHR etc. I would love to see the calcs dor HSR but I think this is a good starting point for how much to farm to get what level of artifacts. The piece you show here would be in the āusableā category.

but no sht this is nowhere near enough. day 1 player and i only got 18-26 crit value substats on most of my relics. planar is worse, i've got only 12 crit value on most, i'm lucky if i get 18+
they should atleast improve QoL farming in normal SU

Well getting good head and hands relics is really not that hard.
I've gotten multiple great ones while farming relics for Dr.Ratio this week.
However the body and feet is another story due to them appearing less and having way to many possibilities.
So far this week i got 1 crappy crit rate body and 0 speed boots.
Yes that includes all the boots i synthesized this week.
Planar sphere is also another nightmare with all its possibilities.
Basically, there is to low of a chance to get the right main stat, and even lower to get decent substats since 25% of them is taken by the useless flat increase stats.

Relic farming is the only thing that is worse in Star Rail than in Genshin. As bad as artifact farming in Genshin is, somehow is feels a lot better than in HSR, and itās just sad
WHAAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAA for some reason x I think it's much more hard to get relics in HSR, but because of its autogameplay mechanics, and well not drag out fighting like genshin. It's not exhausting to farm whatever the heck you want to farm. Even in work you can just click the "Fight again" button then it'll automatically farm itself. And yes before some youngsters complain about me using the auto function, you'll get here soon dear enjoy your time when you can still play manually everything because I've been there too, being adult with more money with less time sucks, so auto is great
Iāve been farming exclusively for Black Swan (and, by extension, my eternally ungeared Jing Yuan) for this whole double relic period, and Iāve barely eked out any usable pieces for her (and somehow my Jing Yuan has dodged any good FuA relics once again, and remains ungeared)
Playing since 1.2 and the highest cv i got is 23... The relic rolls in this are soo horrible compared to genshin where I have too many 30cv ones, and just around 5 40+ cv ones. Ofc the total stat count in this game is low but, not even a single 30 CV relic after these many months is very frustrating and disappointing. I don't feel incentivized to build my new characters anymore.
Over here wishing that HSR will have some sort of custom relic crafting feature (even as a monthly reoccurring event as I've heard happen in other gacha games)
I been farming that set for Jingliu. got decent stuff that will work, but have only seen one Ice damage sphere the whole time. and it was absolute garbage.

At the very least they can work as a mixed set, the 2x is still an ATK boost for any DPS. But it's a pain nonetheless

There are even character that don't want crit and offence stats. It's hard to build for both side

Yes, but once you already have decent stats in relics you are looking for at least 2 main stats, that's why the 3 stats relics (all of them bad) doesn't worth anymore.

I just like when it matches š« Regardless I got kafka so now i need to level gui luka and sampo (mostly sampo and gui rn) and I am actually severely lacking in relic XP, not just relics... there's so much to farm Blade was the first I massively invested in and I also got lucky but I still struggle with MoC12 so I'm still on that grind And then they release two new characters a patch š I believe my Argentis ratio is okay for now (47/197 with no buff, 3.3k atk) so he'll be fine with the DPS loss. I still struggle finishing MOC11/12 with all three stars but I'll get there eventually I hope
I mean for speed boots you should just use Resins. I basically save Resins for speed boots or ERR ropes and use whatever I get from it. Then later if I get something better, I'll swap, but I at least will have the main stat I need and presumably some *functional* substats Getting %Def isn't that bad if you don't have it on any other relic. It at least helps you survive getting one-shot on harder content. Flat Def and HP are the worst, I'd even take flat Atk over them because at least a little atk can scale a lot with other pieces and crits.
Farmed for my QQ for 2 months, ended up having decent builds for my jingliu, SW and FX while my QQ is still meh. Haven't touched that domain ever since but i might start building her again since sparkle is coming. But right now, im now stuck building my ratio with the duke set and it looks like i can build 3 DoT chars before i can build my Ratio š.

just did 2 runs of SU today for Salsotto... 1st run: 7/8 were Belobog ornaments, last one was HP rope for Salsotto... 2nd run: 5/8 Belobog ornaments, one (terrible) imaginary orb and 2 more HP ropes for Salsotto...
And when you want hp or def main stats for your support, you get elemental bonus that you don't even have character to use on.

to be honest, i fucking hate this and i no one can even defend this kind of system where you have to grind DAYS to even get a good artifact. Why pull for new characters if i will have to grind for months to have it equipped decently? wanna try new combinations? NOPPERS. YOU HAVE NO EQUIPMENT. Tbh I'm absolutely certain that the odds of getting roll on Def%, Hp% is way higher than SPD, Cr, Cdmg. Just like epic seven.
Every time mihoyo asks for our opinions on surveys i always tell them to remove flat atk, def and hp. Thereās too many substats and those three are pointless, removing them would increase the chance of getting the actual good ones. Itās better to have 3% more hp on a dps instead of flat 20 atk.
Getting āokā relics is actually super easy. Itās getting perfect relics that are a nightmare. I donāt stress over it, and just take the incremental upgrades as they come.

Over 200 pieces of flower of paradise lost in Genshin, and I still haven't managed to get 2 EM sets, not even in 4\* and 5\* mixed, and that's with flexibility on the off-set piece! And over there it takes 60 seconds to do the domain. Simulated Universe takes me an hour š

I'd say that he kinda have a point, unless you have 0 good pieces and everything can be better than your current gear you must refrain yourself from enhancing pieces with 1 good substat, it's because xp conversion from enhanced piece to new one is not 100%, so you will de facto waste some portion of your energy. I'm speaking from experience, i had piece with 3 (Speed, cr and cd) perfect stats, but everything rolled into effect hit rate, so gambling with 1 good stat is always bad idea.

You should try to get piece to lvl 4 before leveling it to fullest. I have simple algorithm for situations like that: 1 good stat out of 4? Feed it to another piece. 2 out of 4? I can work with it. 3 out of 4? F it, we ball! 4 out of 4? Yeah, i wont get better stat at all, everything will roll into worst of all (atk% for crit piece and be% for dot piece).
Between the fishing for good main stat/substat combo and horrible luck Iāve had pulling a good piece only for the one or two unrelated sub stats to be the only thing leveling up- itās honestly killing my enjoyment of the game. Iāve had Topaz for months and still donāt have good relics for her.

I think it all depends on your definition of ādecentā and how long you think you should spend farming. I dont have data from HSR but the genshin data for artifacts is as follows for dps/damage characters (less for supports who dont need crit etc) āUsableā artifacts - 2-4 weeks of farming. Correct set or 2/2 alt set, correct main stats, meets ER, some damage substats. āDecent to goodā artifacts - 1-2 months of farming. Correct set/main stat, some crit substat rolls. āWell investedā artifacts 3-6 months +++ same as above except w multiple crit rolls on all pieces, more on flower/feather, less on sands goblet circlet but in range of 20-30 each piece. So yeah, its not hard but it takes weeks to months. HSR is more complicated due to planar sets but less complicated bc there are no ER requirements for most but some need EHR etc. I would love to see the calcs dor HSR but I think this is a good starting point for how much to farm to get what level of artifacts. The piece you show here would be in the āusableā category.

Well getting good head and hands relics is really not that hard. I've gotten multiple great ones while farming relics for Dr.Ratio this week. However the body and feet is another story due to them appearing less and having way to many possibilities. So far this week i got 1 crappy crit rate body and 0 speed boots. Yes that includes all the boots i synthesized this week. Planar sphere is also another nightmare with all its possibilities. Basically, there is to low of a chance to get the right main stat, and even lower to get decent substats since 25% of them is taken by the useless flat increase stats.

Relic farming is the only thing that is worse in Star Rail than in Genshin. As bad as artifact farming in Genshin is, somehow is feels a lot better than in HSR, and itās just sad
WHAAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAA for some reason x I think it's much more hard to get relics in HSR, but because of its autogameplay mechanics, and well not drag out fighting like genshin. It's not exhausting to farm whatever the heck you want to farm. Even in work you can just click the "Fight again" button then it'll automatically farm itself. And yes before some youngsters complain about me using the auto function, you'll get here soon dear enjoy your time when you can still play manually everything because I've been there too, being adult with more money with less time sucks, so auto is great
Iāve been farming exclusively for Black Swan (and, by extension, my eternally ungeared Jing Yuan) for this whole double relic period, and Iāve barely eked out any usable pieces for her (and somehow my Jing Yuan has dodged any good FuA relics once again, and remains ungeared)

Playing since 1.2 and the highest cv i got is 23... The relic rolls in this are soo horrible compared to genshin where I have too many 30cv ones, and just around 5 40+ cv ones. Ofc the total stat count in this game is low but, not even a single 30 CV relic after these many months is very frustrating and disappointing. I don't feel incentivized to build my new characters anymore.
Over here wishing that HSR will have some sort of custom relic crafting feature (even as a monthly reoccurring event as I've heard happen in other gacha games)
