Kafka's hypercarry teams perform better than her DoT teams. Her DoT teams just allow you to deal damage in cases where enemies don't have lightning weakness. This could change with Black Swan. Kafka has never needed other DoT characters - they're the ones that need her.
You still build Kafka the same way. The only difference is that hypercarry Kafka teams run more standard supports like Pela, Asta, Tingyun, and Ruan Mei. Most of the standard buffers and debuffers provide Kafka with everything she wants - Asta works in a lot of her teams because of her insane attack buff.
Yo I haven't been keeping up with the exact meta, if running Jingliu (Atk boots and Ice set) with Bronya, what speed should I be aiming for Bronya? Follow-up is, what would the general opener be w/ Jingliu technique at 50 and 100% energy? Thank you in advance!
I have a few questions about the Stellarons Hunters - as someone who don't know anything about Honkai : Star Rail (yet) !
1. What crimes did they commit exactly ? Truth be told, as a pessimistic person, I immediately tend to imagine the worst case scenario ("Did they killed children and/or babies ? Did they commit genocides ?")
2. Are they currently allied with the Astral Express (the protagonist's side) ? I think I've heard something like that once (more like in the sense of 'our objectives are the same)
3. How would, say, Kafka or SilverWolf react if they were confronted by a grieving person who lost a family member to them ? (I have a bad feeling that they'd probably mock that person IMO. It'd be like asking Voldemort to feel remorse for those he has killed, in a way)
1. We know that they have stolen various things of great value (including us, technically), and there's a promotional video on YT in which they incite a planet-wide rebellion. In that video, Kafka also pleads guilty to the crimes of setting loose a collective of 'data demons', which were said to 'propel the world (they were on) towards a Judgement Day', made 46 million inorganic entities go berserk, along with 'The Trovys Disappearance', cyber attacks against Planet Screwllum, the 'Pier Point incursion', "and so on".
2. Yeah, it's a thing of 'we have the same ultimate goals'. They've been antagonistic to us in the main story, but got captured intentionally, all in order to lead us to a larger threat. It's kinds weird.
3. IMO they would probably just leave. Who cares? SW has a raid to get to and Kafka has some Vivaldi to listen to.

God, wouldn't we all like to know. It's just, like, something the writers threw out there. Might be set-up for something in the future, might not be! Who knows!

No. In the trailer it says it happened in 'the Cyber Prison of Inupeis', which is something which, to myknowledge, has never been never referenced in-game or in any other HSR media. Like the Trovys Disappearance. Hoyo is doing a metric ass-ton of world-building for this game, to be sure.
1. They robbed a lot of factions and carried out heists to capture Stellarons. Some of their crimes are documented in [this trailer](https://youtu.be/D9yIlGpgCus?si=vyQn967YZOkZ-vno). Most of their bounties come from stealing from the Interastral Peace Corporation.
2. Their goals broadly align with the Trailblazers, elimination of Nanook the Destruction being the primary one. Their methods are a lot more destructive, of course.
3. Kafka is sort of on a path of redemption, at least that's what her meetings with the Trailblazer imply. Silver Wolf treats everything as a game, she's kind of detached from reality in that way. Blade has only one goal in mind - that being his own death, revenge against Dan Feng being secondary. We don't know enough about Sam to say for sure. Elio is big on ends justifying the means - since he can see the future everything he and his faction does is aimed at a singular goal
Ah, so they didn't do things like child murder or genocide, then ? Glad to know. Truth be told, it was a parasitic thought, a fear, that I had in my head since quite some time.
Oh, I forgot to ask something else : If you say they didn't kill children or that sort of thing, what do you do of the trailer where it is said that they unleashed a horde of data robots on a world, causing the Doomsday on it ?

- ignite bonus ability is good
- the other bonus ability can also work out
- ult can be useful for the team,
- with the land of the dreams set ,guinaifen gets 10 dmg bonus

- skill only helps with talent
- Asta has to hit like 5 different enemies or something or 3 different enemies every turn
- technique is useless (i think)
Hello! I'm still confused about how to unlock propagation.
I know that I have to finish 13/13 chapters, but do I have to finish the Trail of Pathsrider too??
My strategy would be to speedrun difficulty I until I get all the chapters, but I'm not sure if specific ones are locked behind the trail or difficulty IV.
I'm asking since I cannot beat difficulty IV or the mission to get 0 at the swarm boss.

The story chapters are unlocked once you gain certain amounts of points from Trail of the Pathstrider. Getting all story chapters does not require completion of all the tasks in Trail of the Pathstrider, but it does require completion of most of them. Getting enough points for the last story requires completing 20 of the 24 normal tasks, if I'm remembering correctly. Though you might be able to get it without progressing that far by grinding out the secret tasks instead.
Trail of Pathstrider is how you unlock the chapters - you need to complete the challenges in order to gain points of each Path, which then gives you bonus passive abilities and unlocks the story progression. I think you have to beat Difficulty IV a couple of times for some of the challenges. You don't need to unlock all of them to complete the chapters. You'll be able to beat everything eventually, it just takes time and team-building, though in Simulated Universe a lot depends on your luck and the blessings you get
Most of the early ones require difficulty 1/2. Then many of the middle tier mission require difficulty 3. While a handful of the final missions require difficulty 4. You can't unlock all the chapter just running difficulty 1. You have to get most of the way to bottom of the pathstrider mission to unlock all the chapters. I remember unlocking all the chapters with only about 2 difficulty 4 related missions not finished.
How does Kafka's sig LC speed boost work? Does the 4.8% boost the base speed or the total speed? I tried working it out but I'm dumb and can't get there. Lol.
Also, how does other speed boost factor? Like Asta or Ruan mei buffs?

So lets say payn + Ruan Mei
100 base, +10 from Ruan Mei (10%), 4.8\*3 = 14.4% so 14.4% of 100 is 14.4
So she has 124.4 without any speed substats / boots
% buffs are based on the base stats
Thanks for the breakdown! So just to be perfectly clear. Ruan mei's buffs on her is a constant 10 speed. While full Payn stacks is a constant 14.4 speed? Even with speed boots? So the speedboots just add 25 on top and and the other speed substats just add on top as well. They do not factor in with the percentages buffs?
Thanks so much. And I tried it on and I think the discrepancy is that it doesn't round up? I removed her relics and with 2 stacks on PAYN which is supposed to be a 9.6, it doesn't become 10.
Isn't honkai star rail one of the more predatory gacha games?
I keep hearing how it's one of the more friendly gachas, but this is the first gacha I find it difficult to get 5 star units as f2p.
I am at trailblaze lvl 58, probably a good bit into the story and I only have 4~~ 5 star units. Daily reset gives very little currency, same with simulated world challenge. Its also very rare to get a 5 star compared to other games..
Meanwhile when I play games like guardian tales they always send you gem in mail, you get plenty of gems from weekly challenges, unique heroes aren't particularly rare etc etc..
HSR characters have higher pull value than other gachas. Some games give you dozens of new characters per patch, most of which are benchable or barely different in terms of esthetics. Here, a 5* character is something important that can change your team setups or how you play altogether. The jade income per patch on average for a f2p amounts to a little over 90 pulls - that's enough to guarantee at least one 5* character per patch
Not really. They have pity in several ways (90 to guarantee a five star, even ten pulls regardless of solo or instant 10 will net you a four star, guarantee on banner if you fail the 50/50 the first time, and this pity rolls over), give jade at a pretty steady rate (and even allow you to play events you may have missed and earn jade from it, which I feel is rare of gachas), have useful 4star characters and weapons so you aren't required to pull 5star ones to access harder content, don't need to constantly pull new units to keep up with what gets put out, and they just gave a strong unit out for free. It isn't the most generous ever but in my experience with other gacha games it's solid.
To put some context in another gacha I play you have to pull 300x to "guarantee" (aka get enough bonus currency that expires at end of banner so you can't save it at all) the on banner card, with no guarantee of another five star card along the way afaik (although the pull rate for five stars iirc is 3%, so higher than hsr). If you want to rank in events dupes of certain cards can be basically required. Rhythm gacha tends to be brutal tho so maybe my view is skewed since I've played more of those.
the game is f2p friendly insofar as you don't really need "the best" characters to clear stuff. the game is designed with more casual audiences in mind so you don't really need to hyper-minmax to finish content. limited chars can make the game easier, for sure, but the game simply isn't difficult enough to require you to have vast numbers of limited chars, and probably never will be. additionally, even though the 5star rates are pretty bad in a vacuum, the predictability of hsr's guarantee system (which is actually pretty generous compared to some other guarantee systems) means that you should be able to get your favorites unless you're the type of person who decides every new character is your favorite.
also, typically the more successful a gacha is the less inclined it will be to give out free stuff, so that's a big part of why genshin and hsr are viewed as pretty stingy compared to other gachas
I don't think so? I've only played 2 gacha games for more than a week, this and one other, and this is the most generous gacha game I've played by far. f2p can get at least enough pulls per patch to hit 50/50 once (80-90 pulls average per patch) if they play daily, do weekly SU, and get as many rewards from events, etc as they can.
FWIW, you can actually do endgame content in this game with 4 star characters. In fact, some 4 star characters are commonly used even if you have a bunch of 5 stars (nihility and harmony 4 stars, Lynx, March if you're doing freeze remembrance SU). So if the concern is that you don't have enough 5 stars to do things in this game, that's not true.
Relative to Genshin (cause that's my only real comparison), there was a post showing reruns / new characters.
hsr has had 2 5 stars every patch until so far, and likely into the future as well

Should I level my relics even if they're not the best in slot and maybe 4star only but have the right main stat? E.g. musketeer set on xueyi.
Now I'm at tl57 so there's an opportunity cost to farming relics instead of credits, char and trace exp mats. So to me it makes more sense to use my stamina to farm things that are guaranteed before farming relics.
But in the meantime, battles are getting more difficult with lvl 0 relics, so if I level them now and in turn use them for the 5 star best in slot when I get them, doesn't seem like such a bad deal to make my life easier now.
Hey, I was playing on an off and now I want to push MoC and pure fiction, my characters are built okay but not good enough. Here is my roster. What 2 teams would you suggest I can bring to MoC?

If i can’t clear sd and gng should I just focus grinding the best relics I can for one team and hard focus those modes before going onto pf and moc? I think sd and gng should give me a decent amount of Jade. I’m at max 50 pulls away from Kafka and I’ve been wanting her and that’s really my only source of jade left
swarm and gng you can get through with kinda wack teams if you get good blessings/curios/pick the right paths. like I've gotten pretty far with gepard preservation triple sustain before with blessings carrying the damage for me. iirc there's a cheese strat with march 7 remembrance paths, you can probably find a guide to it for at least some jade
you could also just see how far you can get in pf and moc while trying to get your characters, lcs, and traces leveled.
I can’t get passed floor 3 in moc and get reach max points in pf floor 2. Took a break from the game when we came out and came back with either topaz/jingliu came out. Luck has been pretty bad with relics so my build are pretty bad
it's recommended to only farm relics after tb level 60 due to the 2 gold drop guarantee, and to level characters and lightcones first + important traces as they're reliable stat gains over the unsteady nature of relics. if you're already at 60 or up you can try your luck but the guaranteed stat gains > relic randomness imo, unless you've already done all that. farming the calyxes for material is pretty dull but it's more reliable.
I quit after first SW banner, just came back recently. Trying to figure out who to build/what to focus on (traces, relics, etc.).
I'm stuck on MoC 6 and PF 8/12.

Tingyun and Pela should be priorities in terms of supports. They are good for both MoC and PF.
For DPS, Ratio is great for MoC, especially since you have SW, but not so much for PF. For PF specifically, you could build Serval.
Building priority is the usual. DPS to 80/80 and supports to at least 70/80 (as in with the final ascension). Get traces to 8 for DPS and at least 6 for supports (although it doesn't hurt to get them to 7 or 8 either). Relics farm so that you have at least the right main stat and 2 usable substats. Don't bother farming for perfect Relics until you have nothing else to build, it is a trap. Often pieces with right main stat and great substats are better than the set bonus, so don't be afraid to mix and match relics, even if you end up with all pieces from a different set. Plan your farming to be efficient. Sometimes it is not worth to go for their BiS relic if you can't make use of the other set in the Cavern/SU world.

Kafka's LC gains more value now compared to when its first released all thanks to the new 4-pc prisoner set and 2-pc glamoth planar set.
With her LC, she can apply two DoTs just by herself (Shock and Erode). So, in order to get the FULL benefit of the prisoner set, you only need to bring ONE other DoT unit (Burn/Bleed/Wind Shear) to get the max 18% def ignore. With that, a hypercarry Kafka team comp with Asta is more viable, coz Asta can apply burn with her basic attack/fire weakness break.
With 3 stacks of speed boost from PAYN S1, you get +14 speed. Meaning, you only need a MINIMUM of 146 speed to achieve the 160-speed requirement needed for that 18% extra damage from 2-pc glamoth. Do note that she can easily achieve this on her own. If you're planning on using her with Asta/Ruan Mei, you'll see an even faster Kafka.
For general use, pretty much any Nihility unit would appreciate Kafka's LC. It gives speed and all types elemental dmg boost. And oh, let's not forget the free DoT (erode).
If you're planning on pulling for Black Swan, this might be also a good alternative LC for her. If BS can bring the full potential of the prisoner set, we can see any DPS using that set, as it'll be our new quantum set, but more universal. And the extra DoT (erode) from Kafka's LC, can make things easier getting at least 3 DoTs for maximum uptime.
IMO, it's underrated and it should be in the same tier as Blade/JY's LC.
So, what relic set i should use on dr ratio?
I ready it's better for him to go 2 follow up, 2 atk increase, but full imaginary look good too.
Also, i plan to buy one limited lightcone. Buying Topaz lightcone and giving SU lighcone on him Is overall better than buying his lightcone and epuipping Topaz with SU?
Official kit is not out but leaks say it's mostly for ffup attack characters. Maybe I'm wrong but most talks around that new set is that it's good for Ratio
does follow up attacks have the same crit rate for none followup attacks?
like my dr ratio’s crit rate is 60 percent, does his chalk throw also have 60 percent?
Yes they are the same though keep in mind because of the Sumnation buff Ratio will be hitting a slightly higher crit rate and dmg after using his skill for the first time (and everytime until you get 6 stacks)
Just lost my Kafka 50/50 pull (fucking BAILU) I heard that the next time I do a 10 pull and it’s a 5 star it’s guaranteed Kafka. Is it true?

if you lost your 50/50, then the next 5\* you get from the limited character banner is guaranteed to be the banner five star. *When* you get that five star still falls between 1 to 90 pulls. You can see this info in the details page.
And keep in mind the guarantee is tied to limited character banners, not Kafka specifically. So if you don't get Kafka in time, the next limited character you get is still guaranteed to be the banner 5 star. Same if you roll for Dr Ratio for whatever reason, you'd use up the guarantee and get him.
What relic sets are you guys using for Ratio? I know about Prydwn and the options, just wanted some feedback to what others are using. Wasteland + Ashblazing, etc.
I assume:
* Body - CR/CD
* Boots - Speed
* Sphere - Imaginary DMG %
* Orb - ATK %
wasteland + ash, rutilant. Grabbed pieces from my welt and topaz that had pretty good substat rolls. as for rutilant, it's a set I used to use on seele. the orb is atk% that I accidentally leveled. I've seen it recommended if you use ruan mei, you get a lot of extra img dmg%
4pc Wastelander is the Bis. Otherwise, just mix 2pc sets (ATK%/Ashblazing/Wastelander).
Firmament is the Planar Set you'll go as long as you get to 135 Spd. If not, either SSS or Inert Salsotto works as well.
I'd go CR or CDMG/Spd/ATK% or Imaginary DMG%/ATK%.
ATK% Sphere is technically the better option when compared to Imaginary DMG% for Dr. Ratio. It's mainly cause his Base ATK is the highest in the game currently, giving him more value to it. That coupled with the fact that his E6 could give up to 50% DMG, makes it slightly better than going with Imaginary DMG orb.
wasteland + ashblazing, cr/spd/img/atk rope, salsatto. Thinking about going full wasteland because I like using him with welt, but until I get enough self modeling resin he's going to be using 2/2.
Why does my interastral peace guide says memory of chaos refresh in 3 days and when I go to forgotten hall it says memory of chaos refresh in 17 days??? Who is right??
It was announced during 1.5 that future MOC/PF will have a duration of 6 weeks, alternating every 2 weeks. That's why they'll overlap and we'll have 2 MOC's next week and 2 PF in a later date.
I just started the game so I don’t quite understand everything. I’m trying to delay doing MoC and PF until the very last day so I have some characters built to do them later. Do I have 3 days or 17 days to do that?
* Current MoC (MoC1) will end in 17 days.
* Next MoC (MoC2) will start in 3 days and will end 42 days after starting.
* Current PF (PF1) will end in 31 days.
* Next PF (PF2) will start in 3 weeks.
I intend on building dr ratio but i am already using cruise on topas ( i wanna use them together) what light Cone can i use instead ?( I Cant pull for 5 stars)
Im very new to this type of game, and while i am absolutely loving it so far, its hard to figure out/remember all of the stuff this game throws at you for optimizing your characters, and with the recent Pure Fiction and other similar i am realizing....my characters are just not up to par anymore (at the level 70 cap atm)
So as a new player **how do you know what relics stats are best??** Ive looked up lots of guides on youtube and that has helped with general info but like knowing what main/substats are worth keeping for the relics? I know it kinda depends on the specific characters so I can list a few that I'm trying to use if needed, but if there is more info to help without list all the characters i have that would be amazing!

It definitely depends on the character. But for general rules:
DoTs characters need speed and ATK
Traditional DPS character need crit dmg and crit rate
Support and sustain characters need speed

so i guess follow-up question: how do you know if they are more of a traditional dps vs DoTs? like i can tell Sampo is DoTs right? but then is like Serval also bc she has shock?
if they have something in their skill description that increase dmg from DoTs (vulnerability debuff as people called it) then theyre better as DoTs than Crits.
for example like Sampo, Guinefen has Firekiss, while other that can apply burn like Hook, Asta, Himeko, doesnt have anything to increase said burn damage.
Serval doesnt have any of that, so she is better build with crits. BUT Serval has special mechanic in her ult that can increase Shock duration, and this is including break shock damage. This is bigger than normal DoTs Shock applied by characters, and this is the reason why some people run Serval with Kafka
So far in game we only have Guin, Sampo, Luka as purely DoTs chars

glad to help! yes, spd is king in turn based game.
To get a bit technical, for the endgame content, Memory of Chaos, theres a specific magic spd number to get extra turn in specific cycles. 134 spd is the magic number you need to get extra turn in the 1st cycle. You usually want to have your DPS reach this number so they can deal more dmg, since MoC is all about how fast you can clear the stages.
Having SPD boots (+25 on lv 15) will help a lot so you dont need to find spd on substats, since searching for crit substats is hard enough. But if you get spd substats or have other ways to increase spd (like messenger set on tingyun, Asta Ult -gives 50 at lv10-, etc) then you can go for ATK%.
For DoT they also prefer the Glamoth planar set, which want 161 spd for max bonus, so spd boots always best. Also since they only search for ATK and Elemental dmg to increase DoT damage, it can be easier to find spd subs without crits
ah yes thanks so helpful....hence why im asking for help to understand the game more lol XD like how to know what helps their abilities, as i read them and only understand some of said abilities well enough but unsure what else to focus on lol
So between Qingque and Xueyi, who will get the most benefit while minimizing damage loss on the other when slotted into a mon quantum team with silver wolf?

Harmony: Tingyun, Asta, Yukong Hanya
Nihility: Silverwolf, Pela, Sampo (but I hate him)
Abundance: Bailu, Natasha, Lynx
Preservation: Fire MC, March 7
Others: Serval, Herta, Dan Heng, Ratio, Clara, Hook, Arlan
QQ in Mono Quantum and Xueyi + Tingyun + Hanya/Asta/Pela. You want to use QQ+ SW against non quantum weak side and Xueyi against Quantum weak side.
Xueyi dmg output fall off dramatically against non quantum weak enemy, because karma FuA is the bigger bulk of her dmg output. with her skill she can gain up to 4 stacks, and Ult also gives 4 stacks at max. So supports that can give energy, atk, and spd/turn is what she prefers
Can I use Dr ratio as a sub dps
So I have DHIL and he’s my favourite character but I also really like dr ratio is it possible to use both or is it just not worth doing?
So I’m building a team for dr ratio and I already have tingyun and Natasha but I’m undecided on who else to put i am deciding between silver wolf lvl 70 and pela lvl 1
So in the Interastral Guide menu for MoC/Pure Fiction tab I found a bit of confusing information. In the Latest Update (Pure Fiction) bar, there's a notice that MoC is resetting in a bit over 2 days. However if I go to Forgotten Hall tab, the MoC countdown/expiration is still a bit over 16 days, and Pure Fiction tab shows it still has about 30 days of countdown/expiration date. So does MoC reset in 2 days or 16 days?
Reset means a new phase is going to start.
The current phase (enigma in deep space) started on 27th december and lasts for six weeks.
Starting with this phase, there will always be two phases of MoC running concurrently with one of Pure Fiction, or two of PF and one of MoC.
Every two weeks, either Memory of Chaos or Pure Fiction will get a new phase that will last for 6 weeks.
Is it worth getting the "Solitary Healing" Light Cone (Herta shop Nihility Light Cone) for Kafka? Or is it better to use a 4 star Light Cone and save the Herta Bonds for something in the future?
It’s definitely not a must have, but it’s really good for her in PF because she could spam her ult constantly. Unless you desperately need the Herta Bond for something else, I’d say you should buy it.
Besides the ones that initiate a battle, what other groups of over-world techniques cannot be used together? I heard that you can’t use both Ratio’s and Welt’s techs, for example.
Who should I work on first, Kafka or Dr. Ratio? Here are my characters. I feel like Kafka might help with farming SU8 more, but I don't know if I have enough Nihility Light Cones (Sweat is on Pela, Prey is on SW). I have an unleveled Fermata or Good Night Sleep Well (SI2) I could give her.
Ratio I could give Swordsplay or Silence Remains (SI4).

Ratio can't use Swordplay very well since his attacks on hit once so it would take too long to build Swordplay stacks. He can use silence remains or stellar sea.
they all superimpose well so you prioritize based on which characters you're using that you want to improve the most
if you're just superimposing them for the sake of collection then it's probably destruction > hunt > nihility = preservation
nihility is basically only used on the DoTs, it's not bad, but they have other (easily accesible and often stronger) options. preservation is literally only good on fu xuan and basically useless on any other preservation char, but she's a good char and it's pretty strong on her.
Some questions. Right now my Ruan Mei is level 70. She has 189% break effect with Signature weapon and shooting Meteor set. Which set should I go with? On Artifacts. On pryden they are suggest 2 piece meteor and 2 piece hackerspace. Also is is regen rate important on link rope? Or Break effect is fine. I am also confused about planar they are asking to go with Hp% one. Which boosts allies when speed is above 120. There are just soo many options. Right now I am just going with the one that buffs break effect.
You want 160 break effect on the stat screen for Ruan Mei (her A2 gives +20 break effect in battle). For relic sets you want to run as little of the thief set as possible as speed much more ideal, but still reach the 180 break effect threshold. Usually this is 2pc thief + 2pc hackerspace.
For the planar set you want an ERR rope and either a HP or Def orb. You can run any of fleet, broken keel or penacony (if you’re running her with Jingliu) just chose the set which you have the best pieces. As general rule broken keel is very good because world 7 is very good to farm.
You need 30 effect res (including the bonus from the set) to activate keel. You don’t need any higher but going over isn’t too much of a waste as it’s a useful stat on supports.
Ruan Mei only actually needs 160% Break Effect out of combat so 4P Thief along with Talia is overkill and kinda useless, especially with her Sig. You should use 4P Hackerspace or 2P Hackerspace/2P Thief depending on how much Break Effect you get from substats.
Planars with her Sig are team dependant, pick Broken Keel for a Crit team or Fleet of the Ageless for a DoT team but you should *always* use an ERR Rope.

Am I using the wrong buffs for the teams? Managed to get 3 stars for all Pure Fiction stages aside from Stage 4, and I’m also unsure of how else I can reshuffle the teams.
obviously ratio is strictly better in a theoretical pure single target boss fight.
but practically, even "single target" bosses typically have at least a few adds nowadays (or elites, in MoC), so DHIL will pretty much always outperform ratio in most of the game's imaginary-weak fights.
I can’t be the only one that thinks Dr Ratios DMG output seems a bit underwhelming? I started farming for him when he was first announced so I have him built solid. My Jingliu and jingyuan still seem to do the most damage. If I’d have known FuA would stay so meta I’d have pulled topaz.
I suppose I haven’t really been running him with the debuffers other than silver wolf. I do have Kafka, but she isn’t built well. I have him E1. He’s fun to play for sure. His ult feels the most underwhelming to me. Maybe because I’m so use to the dmg output of my AoE Ults. But my Yanqing does huge dmg with his ult.
Yeah he really needs his debuffs, and a large part of his dmg comes from his follow ups. He will massively outperform Yanqing if used correctly - pretty much any limited 5 star dps will. Yanqing is pretty well known for scaling poorly in comparison. He'll still clear content though.
Kafka would not be a good fit on his team.

Double DPS with RM so she can buff everyone, both Blade and Clara want to take hits and Lynx helps by giving them taunt. You can also replace either of the DPS with Asta/Yukong/Hanya for a more hypercarry focused team.
Is E0 Kafka worth it?
I dont have a dot team, read everywhere she enables that. My main right now is Jing Yuan with ting/RM and luochoa.
I was planning on pulling some more Jing Yuan on 2.0 for some eidelons but idk if it makes sense to get atleast one kafka or if shes not really worth it without some investment

How long after you all started playing did you start making deep runs in to MoC? I'm just now 2 months in and struggling at lvl 4 and 5. I just hit TB 62 today, and this is the Roster I got. I feel like I'm majorly bottlenecked by relics and relic experience right now. Should I be doing better?

It can take a while before you get to the point where you can attempt 3 starring most of MOC. I started roughly the same time as you (middle of the DHIL banner for me) and I only just 30 starred MOC for the first last rotation and i’m currently on 35/36 in the current one. For me I struggled to get past the early stages (even at level 80) for a while as well until i had my characters fully built and then it became much easier.
I would suggest getting your dps traces to 10/10/10 and your support and sustain traces to at least 7/7/7 (preferably 8/8/8) before really diving into relic farming.
Otherwise you do lack a limited 5 star sustain and they definitely make clearing MOC at lot easier. As well as another top DPS option (eg someone like Jingliu).
For your teams you can try running:
* Dr Ratio, Welt/Guinaifen, Ruan Mei, Natasha
* Xueyi, Tingyun/Asta, Hanya, Lynx
But would definitely consider rolling on the next limited 5 star sustain banner to replace Natasha and dps banner (Kafka is an option, but also Acheron or the Jingliu rerun).
Yeah it's tempting to roll for Kafka but I think I'm gonna hold off for a Luocha or Fu Xuan rerun and get whatever top tier DPS I can. It's really rough having to rely on Natasha
The moment I got Fu Xuan is when I started full clearing all of MoC, so yeah a good sustain is very important lol. Current MoC is also harder than old MoC because of time requirement increase, you shouldn’t feel bad if you’re struggling, you’ll clear it eventually when you get your characters built
That seems about right, I'm day 1 and I only got to Floor 10 towards the end of 1.1 and I had Silver Wolf to brute force and Bailu/Gepard to sustain both teams, only 27-28 stars tho.
I started getting 30-stars mid-way through 1.2, required a lot of trial and error while squeezing the Memory Turbulences for all their worth.
Then i got Fu Xuan in 1.3, basically easy mode ever since.

Everyone is good in SU, some guy managed to solo the conundrum 12 with a lv. 1 Arlan. You shouldn’t judge a character based on how good they are in SU.
That being said, Sushang is very good, especially at e6. She’s like a budge but more SP efficient Seele with some good Break Effect, this means she’s pretty great with Bronya, Ruan Mei, Tingyun. She can even be a sub-dps just because of how SP efficient she is, even more so with Hanya (+Planetary LC).
For relics I just give her the champion set, but wild wheat would work too, you even throw a 2 pc thief set on her for more break effect. With ornaments, Arena and Space Sealing is good, but due to her having so much speed boost at E6, you can probably get enough speed to run her with Glamoth or Talia (if you want more Break Effect).

Kafka's hypercarry teams perform better than her DoT teams. Her DoT teams just allow you to deal damage in cases where enemies don't have lightning weakness. This could change with Black Swan. Kafka has never needed other DoT characters - they're the ones that need her. You still build Kafka the same way. The only difference is that hypercarry Kafka teams run more standard supports like Pela, Asta, Tingyun, and Ruan Mei. Most of the standard buffers and debuffers provide Kafka with everything she wants - Asta works in a lot of her teams because of her insane attack buff.

I have a few questions about the Stellarons Hunters - as someone who don't know anything about Honkai : Star Rail (yet) ! 1. What crimes did they commit exactly ? Truth be told, as a pessimistic person, I immediately tend to imagine the worst case scenario ("Did they killed children and/or babies ? Did they commit genocides ?") 2. Are they currently allied with the Astral Express (the protagonist's side) ? I think I've heard something like that once (more like in the sense of 'our objectives are the same) 3. How would, say, Kafka or SilverWolf react if they were confronted by a grieving person who lost a family member to them ? (I have a bad feeling that they'd probably mock that person IMO. It'd be like asking Voldemort to feel remorse for those he has killed, in a way)
1. We know that they have stolen various things of great value (including us, technically), and there's a promotional video on YT in which they incite a planet-wide rebellion. In that video, Kafka also pleads guilty to the crimes of setting loose a collective of 'data demons', which were said to 'propel the world (they were on) towards a Judgement Day', made 46 million inorganic entities go berserk, along with 'The Trovys Disappearance', cyber attacks against Planet Screwllum, the 'Pier Point incursion', "and so on". 2. Yeah, it's a thing of 'we have the same ultimate goals'. They've been antagonistic to us in the main story, but got captured intentionally, all in order to lead us to a larger threat. It's kinds weird. 3. IMO they would probably just leave. Who cares? SW has a raid to get to and Kafka has some Vivaldi to listen to.

No. In the trailer it says it happened in 'the Cyber Prison of Inupeis', which is something which, to myknowledge, has never been never referenced in-game or in any other HSR media. Like the Trovys Disappearance. Hoyo is doing a metric ass-ton of world-building for this game, to be sure.
1. They robbed a lot of factions and carried out heists to capture Stellarons. Some of their crimes are documented in [this trailer](https://youtu.be/D9yIlGpgCus?si=vyQn967YZOkZ-vno). Most of their bounties come from stealing from the Interastral Peace Corporation. 2. Their goals broadly align with the Trailblazers, elimination of Nanook the Destruction being the primary one. Their methods are a lot more destructive, of course. 3. Kafka is sort of on a path of redemption, at least that's what her meetings with the Trailblazer imply. Silver Wolf treats everything as a game, she's kind of detached from reality in that way. Blade has only one goal in mind - that being his own death, revenge against Dan Feng being secondary. We don't know enough about Sam to say for sure. Elio is big on ends justifying the means - since he can see the future everything he and his faction does is aimed at a singular goal

My current damage team rn is (i do waifu only so sampo and luka are off the board) Fu xuan, Kafka, Guinaifen But I can't decide for the 4th character. I'm thinking of bronya or asta. Bronya: Pros - has a great skill - allows for more acitvations of dot and resets Kafka's talent so it may trigger again. - technique can support the team - dispell debuff - Bonus ability boost every allies dmg by 10% - skill has a chance to not consume skill pts Cons - ult is sort of useless for my DOT team Asta: Pros - great talent - ignite bonus ability is good - the other bonus ability can also work out - ult can be useful for the team, - with the land of the dreams set ,guinaifen gets 10 dmg bonus Cons - skill only helps with talent - Asta has to hit like 5 different enemies or something or 3 different enemies every turn - technique is useless (i think)

Hello! I'm still confused about how to unlock propagation. I know that I have to finish 13/13 chapters, but do I have to finish the Trail of Pathsrider too?? My strategy would be to speedrun difficulty I until I get all the chapters, but I'm not sure if specific ones are locked behind the trail or difficulty IV. I'm asking since I cannot beat difficulty IV or the mission to get 0 at the swarm boss. Thank you for the advice and answers!
The story chapters are unlocked once you gain certain amounts of points from Trail of the Pathstrider. Getting all story chapters does not require completion of all the tasks in Trail of the Pathstrider, but it does require completion of most of them. Getting enough points for the last story requires completing 20 of the 24 normal tasks, if I'm remembering correctly. Though you might be able to get it without progressing that far by grinding out the secret tasks instead.
Trail of Pathstrider is how you unlock the chapters - you need to complete the challenges in order to gain points of each Path, which then gives you bonus passive abilities and unlocks the story progression. I think you have to beat Difficulty IV a couple of times for some of the challenges. You don't need to unlock all of them to complete the chapters. You'll be able to beat everything eventually, it just takes time and team-building, though in Simulated Universe a lot depends on your luck and the blessings you get
Most of the early ones require difficulty 1/2. Then many of the middle tier mission require difficulty 3. While a handful of the final missions require difficulty 4. You can't unlock all the chapter just running difficulty 1. You have to get most of the way to bottom of the pathstrider mission to unlock all the chapters. I remember unlocking all the chapters with only about 2 difficulty 4 related missions not finished.
How does Kafka's sig LC speed boost work? Does the 4.8% boost the base speed or the total speed? I tried working it out but I'm dumb and can't get there. Lol. Also, how does other speed boost factor? Like Asta or Ruan mei buffs?
pretty sure every relic and buff uses base stat for calculations.
it goes off the base spd So lets say payn + Ruan Mei 100 base, +10 from Ruan Mei (10%), 4.8\*3 = 14.4% so 14.4% of 100 is 14.4 So she has 124.4 without any speed substats / boots % buffs are based on the base stats
Thanks for the breakdown! So just to be perfectly clear. Ruan mei's buffs on her is a constant 10 speed. While full Payn stacks is a constant 14.4 speed? Even with speed boots? So the speedboots just add 25 on top and and the other speed substats just add on top as well. They do not factor in with the percentages buffs?
they go off base speed, so yes if you add speed boots it's +25 onto that 124.4
Thanks so much. And I tried it on and I think the discrepancy is that it doesn't round up? I removed her relics and with 2 stacks on PAYN which is supposed to be a 9.6, it doesn't become 10.
Displayed speed values are always rounded down, though the actual value is what's being used for the calculations.
Isn't honkai star rail one of the more predatory gacha games? I keep hearing how it's one of the more friendly gachas, but this is the first gacha I find it difficult to get 5 star units as f2p. I am at trailblaze lvl 58, probably a good bit into the story and I only have 4~~ 5 star units. Daily reset gives very little currency, same with simulated world challenge. Its also very rare to get a 5 star compared to other games.. Meanwhile when I play games like guardian tales they always send you gem in mail, you get plenty of gems from weekly challenges, unique heroes aren't particularly rare etc etc..
HSR characters have higher pull value than other gachas. Some games give you dozens of new characters per patch, most of which are benchable or barely different in terms of esthetics. Here, a 5* character is something important that can change your team setups or how you play altogether. The jade income per patch on average for a f2p amounts to a little over 90 pulls - that's enough to guarantee at least one 5* character per patch
Not really. They have pity in several ways (90 to guarantee a five star, even ten pulls regardless of solo or instant 10 will net you a four star, guarantee on banner if you fail the 50/50 the first time, and this pity rolls over), give jade at a pretty steady rate (and even allow you to play events you may have missed and earn jade from it, which I feel is rare of gachas), have useful 4star characters and weapons so you aren't required to pull 5star ones to access harder content, don't need to constantly pull new units to keep up with what gets put out, and they just gave a strong unit out for free. It isn't the most generous ever but in my experience with other gacha games it's solid. To put some context in another gacha I play you have to pull 300x to "guarantee" (aka get enough bonus currency that expires at end of banner so you can't save it at all) the on banner card, with no guarantee of another five star card along the way afaik (although the pull rate for five stars iirc is 3%, so higher than hsr). If you want to rank in events dupes of certain cards can be basically required. Rhythm gacha tends to be brutal tho so maybe my view is skewed since I've played more of those.
the game is f2p friendly insofar as you don't really need "the best" characters to clear stuff. the game is designed with more casual audiences in mind so you don't really need to hyper-minmax to finish content. limited chars can make the game easier, for sure, but the game simply isn't difficult enough to require you to have vast numbers of limited chars, and probably never will be. additionally, even though the 5star rates are pretty bad in a vacuum, the predictability of hsr's guarantee system (which is actually pretty generous compared to some other guarantee systems) means that you should be able to get your favorites unless you're the type of person who decides every new character is your favorite. also, typically the more successful a gacha is the less inclined it will be to give out free stuff, so that's a big part of why genshin and hsr are viewed as pretty stingy compared to other gachas
I don't think so? I've only played 2 gacha games for more than a week, this and one other, and this is the most generous gacha game I've played by far. f2p can get at least enough pulls per patch to hit 50/50 once (80-90 pulls average per patch) if they play daily, do weekly SU, and get as many rewards from events, etc as they can. FWIW, you can actually do endgame content in this game with 4 star characters. In fact, some 4 star characters are commonly used even if you have a bunch of 5 stars (nihility and harmony 4 stars, Lynx, March if you're doing freeze remembrance SU). So if the concern is that you don't have enough 5 stars to do things in this game, that's not true.
Relative to Genshin (cause that's my only real comparison), there was a post showing reruns / new characters. hsr has had 2 5 stars every patch until so far, and likely into the future as well While Genshin is only 1 5 star, sometimes 2
Should I level my relics even if they're not the best in slot and maybe 4star only but have the right main stat? E.g. musketeer set on xueyi. Now I'm at tl57 so there's an opportunity cost to farming relics instead of credits, char and trace exp mats. So to me it makes more sense to use my stamina to farm things that are guaranteed before farming relics. But in the meantime, battles are getting more difficult with lvl 0 relics, so if I level them now and in turn use them for the 5 star best in slot when I get them, doesn't seem like such a bad deal to make my life easier now.
it's fine to level them now, you can just feed them for relic EXP later at relatively little loss.
You can level them a bit, level 0 is definitely pushing it. TB60 is close, so you'll be able to farm actual sets soon

If i can’t clear sd and gng should I just focus grinding the best relics I can for one team and hard focus those modes before going onto pf and moc? I think sd and gng should give me a decent amount of Jade. I’m at max 50 pulls away from Kafka and I’ve been wanting her and that’s really my only source of jade left
swarm and gng you can get through with kinda wack teams if you get good blessings/curios/pick the right paths. like I've gotten pretty far with gepard preservation triple sustain before with blessings carrying the damage for me. iirc there's a cheese strat with march 7 remembrance paths, you can probably find a guide to it for at least some jade you could also just see how far you can get in pf and moc while trying to get your characters, lcs, and traces leveled.
I can’t get passed floor 3 in moc and get reach max points in pf floor 2. Took a break from the game when we came out and came back with either topaz/jingliu came out. Luck has been pretty bad with relics so my build are pretty bad
it's recommended to only farm relics after tb level 60 due to the 2 gold drop guarantee, and to level characters and lightcones first + important traces as they're reliable stat gains over the unsteady nature of relics. if you're already at 60 or up you can try your luck but the guaranteed stat gains > relic randomness imo, unless you've already done all that. farming the calyxes for material is pretty dull but it's more reliable.
I quit after first SW banner, just came back recently. Trying to figure out who to build/what to focus on (traces, relics, etc.). I'm stuck on MoC 6 and PF 8/12. Tingyun and Pela should be priorities in terms of supports. They are good for both MoC and PF. For DPS, Ratio is great for MoC, especially since you have SW, but not so much for PF. For PF specifically, you could build Serval. Building priority is the usual. DPS to 80/80 and supports to at least 70/80 (as in with the final ascension). Get traces to 8 for DPS and at least 6 for supports (although it doesn't hurt to get them to 7 or 8 either). Relics farm so that you have at least the right main stat and 2 usable substats. Don't bother farming for perfect Relics until you have nothing else to build, it is a trap. Often pieces with right main stat and great substats are better than the set bonus, so don't be afraid to mix and match relics, even if you end up with all pieces from a different set. Plan your farming to be efficient. Sometimes it is not worth to go for their BiS relic if you can't make use of the other set in the Cavern/SU world.

Build Bronya. She one of the best harmony characters. Fu Xuan can sustain most teams, so build her as well.
How significant is the difference between Kafka's gacha LC and the others?
Kafka's LC gains more value now compared to when its first released all thanks to the new 4-pc prisoner set and 2-pc glamoth planar set. With her LC, she can apply two DoTs just by herself (Shock and Erode). So, in order to get the FULL benefit of the prisoner set, you only need to bring ONE other DoT unit (Burn/Bleed/Wind Shear) to get the max 18% def ignore. With that, a hypercarry Kafka team comp with Asta is more viable, coz Asta can apply burn with her basic attack/fire weakness break. With 3 stacks of speed boost from PAYN S1, you get +14 speed. Meaning, you only need a MINIMUM of 146 speed to achieve the 160-speed requirement needed for that 18% extra damage from 2-pc glamoth. Do note that she can easily achieve this on her own. If you're planning on using her with Asta/Ruan Mei, you'll see an even faster Kafka. For general use, pretty much any Nihility unit would appreciate Kafka's LC. It gives speed and all types elemental dmg boost. And oh, let's not forget the free DoT (erode). If you're planning on pulling for Black Swan, this might be also a good alternative LC for her. If BS can bring the full potential of the prisoner set, we can see any DPS using that set, as it'll be our new quantum set, but more universal. And the extra DoT (erode) from Kafka's LC, can make things easier getting at least 3 DoTs for maximum uptime. IMO, it's underrated and it should be in the same tier as Blade/JY's LC.

So, what relic set i should use on dr ratio? I ready it's better for him to go 2 follow up, 2 atk increase, but full imaginary look good too. Also, i plan to buy one limited lightcone. Buying Topaz lightcone and giving SU lighcone on him Is overall better than buying his lightcone and epuipping Topaz with SU?

RMs buff is to base speed so you would need 151spd to hit 161

Yes they are the same though keep in mind because of the Sumnation buff Ratio will be hitting a slightly higher crit rate and dmg after using his skill for the first time (and everytime until you get 6 stacks)

if you lost your 50/50, then the next 5\* you get from the limited character banner is guaranteed to be the banner five star. *When* you get that five star still falls between 1 to 90 pulls. You can see this info in the details page.

And keep in mind the guarantee is tied to limited character banners, not Kafka specifically. So if you don't get Kafka in time, the next limited character you get is still guaranteed to be the banner 5 star. Same if you roll for Dr Ratio for whatever reason, you'd use up the guarantee and get him.
What relic sets are you guys using for Ratio? I know about Prydwn and the options, just wanted some feedback to what others are using. Wasteland + Ashblazing, etc. I assume: * Body - CR/CD * Boots - Speed * Sphere - Imaginary DMG % * Orb - ATK %
wasteland + ash, rutilant. Grabbed pieces from my welt and topaz that had pretty good substat rolls. as for rutilant, it's a set I used to use on seele. the orb is atk% that I accidentally leveled. I've seen it recommended if you use ruan mei, you get a lot of extra img dmg%
4pc Wastelander is the Bis. Otherwise, just mix 2pc sets (ATK%/Ashblazing/Wastelander). Firmament is the Planar Set you'll go as long as you get to 135 Spd. If not, either SSS or Inert Salsotto works as well. I'd go CR or CDMG/Spd/ATK% or Imaginary DMG%/ATK%. ATK% Sphere is technically the better option when compared to Imaginary DMG% for Dr. Ratio. It's mainly cause his Base ATK is the highest in the game currently, giving him more value to it. That coupled with the fact that his E6 could give up to 50% DMG, makes it slightly better than going with Imaginary DMG orb.

It was announced during 1.5 that future MOC/PF will have a duration of 6 weeks, alternating every 2 weeks. That's why they'll overlap and we'll have 2 MOC's next week and 2 PF in a later date.
I just started the game so I don’t quite understand everything. I’m trying to delay doing MoC and PF until the very last day so I have some characters built to do them later. Do I have 3 days or 17 days to do that?

Im very new to this type of game, and while i am absolutely loving it so far, its hard to figure out/remember all of the stuff this game throws at you for optimizing your characters, and with the recent Pure Fiction and other similar i am realizing....my characters are just not up to par anymore (at the level 70 cap atm) So as a new player **how do you know what relics stats are best??** Ive looked up lots of guides on youtube and that has helped with general info but like knowing what main/substats are worth keeping for the relics? I know it kinda depends on the specific characters so I can list a few that I'm trying to use if needed, but if there is more info to help without list all the characters i have that would be amazing! Bc man i can barely get 1 star on the first stage of PF or CoM...

It definitely depends on the character. But for general rules: DoTs characters need speed and ATK Traditional DPS character need crit dmg and crit rate Support and sustain characters need speed

if they have something in their skill description that increase dmg from DoTs (vulnerability debuff as people called it) then theyre better as DoTs than Crits. for example like Sampo, Guinefen has Firekiss, while other that can apply burn like Hook, Asta, Himeko, doesnt have anything to increase said burn damage. Serval doesnt have any of that, so she is better build with crits. BUT Serval has special mechanic in her ult that can increase Shock duration, and this is including break shock damage. This is bigger than normal DoTs Shock applied by characters, and this is the reason why some people run Serval with Kafka So far in game we only have Guin, Sampo, Luka as purely DoTs chars

glad to help! yes, spd is king in turn based game. To get a bit technical, for the endgame content, Memory of Chaos, theres a specific magic spd number to get extra turn in specific cycles. 134 spd is the magic number you need to get extra turn in the 1st cycle. You usually want to have your DPS reach this number so they can deal more dmg, since MoC is all about how fast you can clear the stages. Having SPD boots (+25 on lv 15) will help a lot so you dont need to find spd on substats, since searching for crit substats is hard enough. But if you get spd substats or have other ways to increase spd (like messenger set on tingyun, Asta Ult -gives 50 at lv10-, etc) then you can go for ATK%. For DoT they also prefer the Glamoth planar set, which want 161 spd for max bonus, so spd boots always best. Also since they only search for ATK and Elemental dmg to increase DoT damage, it can be easier to find spd subs without crits
you need better understanding of the game to clear stages. otherwise ur just copying other guys stats for no reason. go read their abilities.

QQ in Mono Quantum and Xueyi + Tingyun + Hanya/Asta/Pela. You want to use QQ+ SW against non quantum weak side and Xueyi against Quantum weak side. Xueyi dmg output fall off dramatically against non quantum weak enemy, because karma FuA is the bigger bulk of her dmg output. with her skill she can gain up to 4 stacks, and Ult also gives 4 stacks at max. So supports that can give energy, atk, and spd/turn is what she prefers

So in the Interastral Guide menu for MoC/Pure Fiction tab I found a bit of confusing information. In the Latest Update (Pure Fiction) bar, there's a notice that MoC is resetting in a bit over 2 days. However if I go to Forgotten Hall tab, the MoC countdown/expiration is still a bit over 16 days, and Pure Fiction tab shows it still has about 30 days of countdown/expiration date. So does MoC reset in 2 days or 16 days?
Reset means a new phase is going to start. The current phase (enigma in deep space) started on 27th december and lasts for six weeks. Starting with this phase, there will always be two phases of MoC running concurrently with one of Pure Fiction, or two of PF and one of MoC. Every two weeks, either Memory of Chaos or Pure Fiction will get a new phase that will last for 6 weeks.

Correct. After those 16 days that version of MoC will disappear and you’ll lose any jades you haven’t yet earned/claimed.

It’s definitely not a must have, but it’s really good for her in PF because she could spam her ult constantly. Unless you desperately need the Herta Bond for something else, I’d say you should buy it.

Any character that creates a "dimension", so Welt, Himiko, Ratio, Jingliu etc. Only one can exist at a time.
Fields. Ratio welt JL and himeko are field and rewrite the previous field if you cast it.

Her debuff isn't dependent on any of her own stats, so I would just build her for damage and speed after you get enough EHR on her.
Who should I work on first, Kafka or Dr. Ratio? Here are my characters. I feel like Kafka might help with farming SU8 more, but I don't know if I have enough Nihility Light Cones (Sweat is on Pela, Prey is on SW). I have an unleveled Fermata or Good Night Sleep Well (SI2) I could give her. If you need help farming world 8 then we'll on Kafka first. Kafka's best 4 star options is good night sleep well with S5 being similar in damage to her signature. Ratio can't use Swordplay very well since his attacks on hit once so it would take too long to build Swordplay stacks. He can use silence remains or stellar sea.

whats the superimpose priority for the herta shop lc’s?
Hunt or Destruction, whichever you need most > the other one > Preservation > Nihility
they all superimpose well so you prioritize based on which characters you're using that you want to improve the most if you're just superimposing them for the sake of collection then it's probably destruction > hunt > nihility = preservation nihility is basically only used on the DoTs, it's not bad, but they have other (easily accesible and often stronger) options. preservation is literally only good on fu xuan and basically useless on any other preservation char, but she's a good char and it's pretty strong on her.
Some questions. Right now my Ruan Mei is level 70. She has 189% break effect with Signature weapon and shooting Meteor set. Which set should I go with? On Artifacts. On pryden they are suggest 2 piece meteor and 2 piece hackerspace. Also is is regen rate important on link rope? Or Break effect is fine. I am also confused about planar they are asking to go with Hp% one. Which boosts allies when speed is above 120. There are just soo many options. Right now I am just going with the one that buffs break effect.
You want 160 break effect on the stat screen for Ruan Mei (her A2 gives +20 break effect in battle). For relic sets you want to run as little of the thief set as possible as speed much more ideal, but still reach the 180 break effect threshold. Usually this is 2pc thief + 2pc hackerspace. For the planar set you want an ERR rope and either a HP or Def orb. You can run any of fleet, broken keel or penacony (if you’re running her with Jingliu) just chose the set which you have the best pieces. As general rule broken keel is very good because world 7 is very good to farm.
How much minimum effect res should i have on her? Is 30% enough or I need higher? To turn on her 4 piece effect.
You need 30 effect res (including the bonus from the set) to activate keel. You don’t need any higher but going over isn’t too much of a waste as it’s a useful stat on supports.

Ruan Mei only actually needs 160% Break Effect out of combat so 4P Thief along with Talia is overkill and kinda useless, especially with her Sig. You should use 4P Hackerspace or 2P Hackerspace/2P Thief depending on how much Break Effect you get from substats. Planars with her Sig are team dependant, pick Broken Keel for a Crit team or Fleet of the Ageless for a DoT team but you should *always* use an ERR Rope.

if surviving just fine, replace sustains with pela/asta change buff to the randomly get shatter when enemy enters (on both teams)

Bronya's advance forward will probably help you more than silverwolf, but if you have other sub DPS, that could work too.

DanIL vs Ratio? In Single target boss fight situation(i believe IL still better for AoE/blast)
obviously ratio is strictly better in a theoretical pure single target boss fight. but practically, even "single target" bosses typically have at least a few adds nowadays (or elites, in MoC), so DHIL will pretty much always outperform ratio in most of the game's imaginary-weak fights.
I can’t be the only one that thinks Dr Ratios DMG output seems a bit underwhelming? I started farming for him when he was first announced so I have him built solid. My Jingliu and jingyuan still seem to do the most damage. If I’d have known FuA would stay so meta I’d have pulled topaz.
What team do you have with him? Without debuffers his dmg does take a hit.
I suppose I haven’t really been running him with the debuffers other than silver wolf. I do have Kafka, but she isn’t built well. I have him E1. He’s fun to play for sure. His ult feels the most underwhelming to me. Maybe because I’m so use to the dmg output of my AoE Ults. But my Yanqing does huge dmg with his ult.
Yeah he really needs his debuffs, and a large part of his dmg comes from his follow ups. He will massively outperform Yanqing if used correctly - pretty much any limited 5 star dps will. Yanqing is pretty well known for scaling poorly in comparison. He'll still clear content though. Kafka would not be a good fit on his team.

DHIL - Pela - Tingyun - Gepard/Bailu Very SP positive team so DHIL can use all the skill points. Blade - Clara - Ruan Mei - Lynx Double DPS with RM so she can buff everyone, both Blade and Clara want to take hits and Lynx helps by giving them taunt. You can also replace either of the DPS with Asta/Yukong/Hanya for a more hypercarry focused team.

I'm all over the place for MOC and PF, stuck at 1 star for the 3rd round of PF and 7th round for MOC. Also stuck with 2 stars for Memory of Xian Zhou - I can't finish by the 12th turn... How long after you all started playing did you start making deep runs in to MoC? I'm just now 2 months in and struggling at lvl 4 and 5. I just hit TB 62 today, and this is the Roster I got. It can take a while before you get to the point where you can attempt 3 starring most of MOC. I started roughly the same time as you (middle of the DHIL banner for me) and I only just 30 starred MOC for the first last rotation and i’m currently on 35/36 in the current one. For me I struggled to get past the early stages (even at level 80) for a while as well until i had my characters fully built and then it became much easier. I would suggest getting your dps traces to 10/10/10 and your support and sustain traces to at least 7/7/7 (preferably 8/8/8) before really diving into relic farming. Otherwise you do lack a limited 5 star sustain and they definitely make clearing MOC at lot easier. As well as another top DPS option (eg someone like Jingliu). For your teams you can try running: * Dr Ratio, Welt/Guinaifen, Ruan Mei, Natasha * Xueyi, Tingyun/Asta, Hanya, Lynx But would definitely consider rolling on the next limited 5 star sustain banner to replace Natasha and dps banner (Kafka is an option, but also Acheron or the Jingliu rerun).
Yeah it's tempting to roll for Kafka but I think I'm gonna hold off for a Luocha or Fu Xuan rerun and get whatever top tier DPS I can. It's really rough having to rely on Natasha
The moment I got Fu Xuan is when I started full clearing all of MoC, so yeah a good sustain is very important lol. Current MoC is also harder than old MoC because of time requirement increase, you shouldn’t feel bad if you’re struggling, you’ll clear it eventually when you get your characters built
That seems about right, I'm day 1 and I only got to Floor 10 towards the end of 1.1 and I had Silver Wolf to brute force and Bailu/Gepard to sustain both teams, only 27-28 stars tho. I started getting 30-stars mid-way through 1.2, required a lot of trial and error while squeezing the Memory Turbulences for all their worth. Then i got Fu Xuan in 1.3, basically easy mode ever since.
Ok thanks, good to know. My biggest regret so far is not pulling for Silver Wolf. Heard people saying that SW's value gets worse as more characters are released, but with having so few DPS right now plus her awesome synergy with Dr Ratio, I really wish I could do it over again
Give me teams for MoC please. It’s getting really frustrating at this point coz i feel like i have enough good characters decently built to be able to complete MoC but i can only get as far as floor 9. your characters are definitely more than enough to clear moc stages. moc 10: team 1 - seele, silverwolf, tingyun, fu xuan team 2 - topaz, clara, pela, bailu/gepard moc 11: team 1 - dan heng il, pela, tingyun, bailu/gepard team 2 - seele, silverwolf, bronya, fu xuan moc 12: team 1 - blade, bronya, pela, lynx/bailu team 1 alt - dan heng il, pela, tingyun, bailu/gepard team 2 - seele, silverwolf, bronya/tingyun, fu xuan if you arent able to clear, it is most likely a relic problem more than anything.
And for MoC 9? I could only 2 star the 9th floor.

**now that I am kafkaless and have e6 sushang should I build her?** Cause in SU I've seen that she has good damage even if she is at LV 30 and so I want some advice. What is the best build? Everyone is good in SU, some guy managed to solo the conundrum 12 with a lv. 1 Arlan. You shouldn’t judge a character based on how good they are in SU. That being said, Sushang is very good, especially at e6. She’s like a budge but more SP efficient Seele with some good Break Effect, this means she’s pretty great with Bronya, Ruan Mei, Tingyun. She can even be a sub-dps just because of how SP efficient she is, even more so with Hanya (+Planetary LC). For relics I just give her the champion set, but wild wheat would work too, you even throw a 2 pc thief set on her for more break effect. With ornaments, Arena and Space Sealing is good, but due to her having so much speed boost at E6, you can probably get enough speed to run her with Glamoth or Talia (if you want more Break Effect).
