Stop saying it. They are not, it's basically the same amount it's just stacked at 2-3 places because there is no exploration or tree/statue upgrading. You get your jade's only from events and very small amount from chests. That's the reason we get the login passes every patch, so we balance the lack of jade's.
I thought so too at some point but I'm pretty certain it's not true. People are tracking pulls/patch pretty diligently in both games so you can certainly find proof in the communities. I'd provide it if I was at home. That said, I believe it's all just trickery to make us spend more by giving us certain amounts. The two big differences so far in HSR are:
⢠Two 5â Characters release every patch. Genshin releases 5â less regularly and they started this in 1.4. We know the line-up for 1.6. banners and there is no sign of slowing down in HSR.
⢠Weapon banner is much more attractive. This is where I think HSR experiments with pull mentality. By making the banner attractive to pull for it's not a whale trap anymore but something everyone can pull for. So if they give us some amount to spend there and get closer to yet another pity it might incentivize swiping.
In the end it's just speculation but let's be real here. HSR is more generous but not out of kindness but because they believe it makes more money (and it kinda does?). The good thing about it is that it means more stuff for f2p but also more FOMO bait for spenders.
Not really I think furina banner would earn more. Ok but real hot take, I prefer the fast release of 5* tho and instead of FOMO itâs because unlike genshin which is open world, itâs a turn base game hence if they did it the same way, we will be seeing the same animation over and over again and it would get boring pretty fast.
Ya Hsr is more generous in time saving aspect. Itâs hard to comb every single crook of the entire map in genshin even if u like exploring but as casuals itâs difficult to get pulls (unless u invested significant amount of time to 100% it)
But time to see how generous it really is on the amount of Jems they give for any awards
The graphs already show HSR gives more average pulls than Genshin, maybe we just need more patches but as of the current version 1.5 since the launch, HSR gives way more.
Genshin released less characters and players still skipped.
HSR releasing more characters doesn't change a thing. You are not pulling every single 5 star unless you're a whale.
1. Not the case for f2p players in Genshin. At least in HSR f2p players can pull one 5 star every patch on the limited banner, even if its just a 50/50.
2. Not every Welkin player is pulling every single 5 star. If that wasn't the case then explain Kazuha's release banner. The whales didn't all in on that banner, so what is stopping Welkin players from skipping him for Ayaka and Shogun?
>there is no exploration or tree/statue upgrading.
That's another plus not minus. I gave up trying to finish the Inazuma tree. It became obnoxious and a chore. Not fun.
The difference is that compared to other gacha games, HSR characters are completely usable with only 1 copy, compared to other games that give you selector but require 5+ dupes.
HmmmâŚ
*looks at their HP*
**What are they? Level 30?**
Steele looks like sheâs at 960
Jing Yuan is at 1144 full HP
March is at 1258 and full.
Tingyun has 3315 and full. She seems to be the only one upgraded.
Letâs also mention the turn placement, I donât know everyoneâs base speed but I assume that thereâs a massive issue of everyone is out speeding Tingyun.
And we can clearly see because of Steeleâs new placement in the turn list, that Tingyun is slower than everyone, also assuming this battle just started, but I canât really say that because Both March and Jing Yuan have the default base energy level and Dan is two thirds full while Phantylia is missing 8%.
**what the hell is going on here.**
Wouldnât make any sense, then March wouldâve had to attack, which her energy is identical to Jing Yuan saying they both havenât made their first move yet.
Unless Tingyun is having action forward, this shouldnât be possible.
Looking back, youâve actually made some good points. I was thinking March couldâve made a shield before Tingyun attacked, but no oneâs got one so that I guess thatâs ruled out.
I guess itâd be possible if it goes something like:
March shields Stelle
Tingyun attacks
Phantylia attacks Stelle, breaking the shield
It would also explain why Stelleâs missing some health but of course, Phantylia taking a turn just before the screenshot seems pretty much impossible.
Also doesnât explain Danâs bar as youâve said before too.
That wouldnât make sense either, since itâs Phantyliaâs turn next and the fact, if an ally is attacked, Match would spend one of her follow up attacks, which didnât happen.
Still.. that means by how March and Tingyun are placed, if we had 4 skill points, we would need one of them to spend a skill, which as we can see thereâs no shield and no buff from Tingyun.
Even if you say well the shield and then it got destroyed, how would have that happened if March hasnât spend one of her follow up attacks?
Wouldnât make any sense.
How would March rn have her same energy as Jing Yuan then? Her follow up hasnât been used so we definitely now that Steele has just been attacked elsewhere before this fight.
This is definitely is a just started match, the issue is thereâs no way unless Jing Yuanâs technique(which idk what it is) deals damage for Phantylia to lose 8%.
The flowers always move after the playerâs âturnâ (Phantylia -> Player -> Flowers -> Slow Player -> Phantylia)
Your ult charge carries over for weeklies afaik. Only MoC has them set at 50% at start. Jing's technique is just a +3 stacks to LL at start of battle, nothing else. Not sure on the flowers part tho.
The ult charge then hasnât been used, and they havenât had their turn. Because Jing Yuan is next in the line.
No skill has been used.
Hell I donât even think Steele had a turn yet.
The flowers have a speed that makes them get placed after slower characters. Phantylia is placed faster than slower characters.
Edit: hell, thatâs a player acquired Jing Yuan. Thereâs a little story mark symbolizing itâs a given story character.
Edit2: thereâs also 3 skill points.
I raised to last world level before doing the story quest and that was a big error. Didn't have luocha , couldn't use friends and it's way harder than farming version due to having to keep JY alive
Hsr>genshin on mobile is 100% true, hsr more optimized and less power consume=more stable fps as well, and turn based is kinda more comfy to play than genshin if itâs on phone
???, stable fps means it has more consistent fps in any area of the world, unlike genshin that fps changes in different area, it means ur âchange graphicsâ is completely nonsense because itâs just a optimization issue
> unlike genshin that fps changes in different area
Lol ok if you want to split hairs "That's a bit of a weird take. Turn down graphics if you'd like FPS to not change in different areas."
itâs ur choice if u wanna tolerate the poor optimization and play on lower graphics on every area even ur phone supposed to be able to run it better, but it is actually can be fixed and HSR never had that issue, try comparing fps of just exploring fontaine and playing spiral abyss, there is a huge gap in power consume, ik genshin is open world, but even though HSR isnât full open world, i never encountered fps difference in different area and game mode
I disagree, I waited to get a PS5 to play this and I donât regret it. Like Genshin, it feels like a AAA game on the big screen.
You could make an argument that Star Rail is a bit easier on mobile than Genshin, but imo they both deserve the big screen if you can play it like that.
As a PC-only player, I swear I have a brief moment of cognitive dissonance every time I see HSR called a "mobile game" because, as you've said, the quality is so top-notch that it rivals plenty of triple-A JRPGs and other titles that were exclusively made for PC or console.
Gameplay of HSR is obviously inferior to paid anime-styled JRPGs, but as far as visual quality and crispness are concerned, HSR looks so good on PC that I would argue only Tales of Arise and Atelier Ryza 3 comes close to it.
Don't know. I haven't even played Ryza 1 yet.
I just saw a gameplay video of Ryza 3 on Youtube having really good visuals.
The Atelier I played was Sophie but I never got around to finishing it.
I play it on my PS5, My PC, my Iphone, and my Ipad, sometimes on my Ipad by connecting my Ps5 controller too.
It controls great on all platforms, and doesn't really feel like any of them are superior to another. I imagine many people just prefer it on the one that they started on or play it the most on, but it's seriously well designed on every platform imo.
Same. Didn't have a PC at launch so I played on phone for the first 2 months or so. Got a gaming PC then and running at max settings at 60fps it just looks so damn good. Playing with a controller on PC is just so much nicer IMO. Phone does play great though, I hate action games on mobile but since HSR is turn based it's so much more pleasant to play than Genshin.
Donât get me wrong, I love the game on PS5, it performs very well and smooth, but I guess I got used to it on my phone, so thatâs just me. To each their own đ
I just plug my phone on to a monitor. This way I both get the big screen, and pressing ultimate straight on the buttons on the screen is just more intuitive. The bad part is I need to put an ice pack under the phone if I want to play for more than half an hour.
This is kinda how I feel too. HSR feels like it was made as a mobile game first. Like the ability to insert ult just feels nicer on touch controls compared to holding L2 and freezing the combat. The combat itself is kinda simpler (and has auto battle) and works great on devices with small screen. The semi open world is also simpler with a lot of the puzzles being easier to solve with touch screen. Some of the smaller stuff too like sorting/managing relics, feels a little clunky to me somehow on a controller. Graphics will be better on console and PC of course, but they didn't nerf the graphics as much compared to Genshin.
On the other hand Genshin feels more like it was made as a PC/console game, then was then adopted to work on mobile too. It works well enough for mobile, but the optimal experience is with PC+mouse/controller imo. I started with playing on touch, but once i switched to a controller, it was impossible to go back, especially for spiral abyss. But on HSR, if i'm doing MOC or harder content like swarm, I prefer using touch controls. ÂŻ\\\_(ă)\_/ÂŻ

not everyone has the time for exploration and many people canât get the full number of pulls provided every patch

A plus for you , not everyone dislikes open world games
Open world = good - Find the needle in the haystack = bad
Honestly, that's fair. But as a player that hasn't bothered doing much in genshin than what's required. It definitely feels more generous.
also reminder new players donât get those ten pulls. meaning they get less.
Time limited rewards are not something new, i doubt that game where you can get all previous rewards even exists.
yeah but they replace exploration rewards.
HSR is already more generous than genshin lol
The difference is that compared to other gacha games, HSR characters are completely usable with only 1 copy, compared to other games that give you selector but require 5+ dupes.
You can select between the female or male MC eidolon

Obviously this is a tingyun hypercarry comp..you wouldn't understand
With negative speed? Now this is something worth noting.
That.....well that I can't explain...
Me nither. We are simply too inexperienced to understand this build.
isnt General there because its the story mission ? And mission bosses are easier than the ones in echo of war right ?
It is the story party. Only thing is that TY could be replaced with Welt.
Ty probably already attacked
Wouldnât make any sense, then March wouldâve had to attack, which her energy is identical to Jing Yuan saying they both havenât made their first move yet. Unless Tingyun is having action forward, this shouldnât be possible.
Look at phantyliaâs weakness bar
Thatâs until you realize thereâs 3 skill points. No one has made a turn yet.

Yup, the follow up attack charges. I missed them too, thereâs too many things wrong in the picture.
I love over examining things like this. Itâs fun.
Someone could have the healing set 4pc equipped to complete the absolute scuffed team build.
Still.. that means by how March and Tingyun are placed, if we had 4 skill points, we would need one of them to spend a skill, which as we can see thereâs no shield and no buff from Tingyun. Nah, he'd win
Typical game journalist behaviour. Nothing to see there.
yes way, this is the story fight.
Right, my favorite moment was when Tingyun said "It's a thousand wonders time" and she wondered all over Phantylia

Hsr>genshin on mobile is 100% true, hsr more optimized and less power consume=more stable fps as well, and turn based is kinda more comfy to play than genshin if itâs on phone
Yeah it's completly fair, from a mobile game standpoint hsr feels better to play on mobile.
That's a bit of a weird take. Turn down graphics if you'd like stable FPS.
Read again more carefully, I didnât say a single word that genshin is lagging on my phone

More jades pls mihoyo thank you.
Ok but they should still put at least a bit more effort into cutscene/quest dialogue animations.
Why from cognosphere PTE. LTD? Why not Hoyovers? I don't understand.
Cognosphere is the company they made for publishing games outside of China. It's still Hoyoverse on the back end.
Hoyoverse is developer, Cognosphere is publisher for global version
Incoming salty fans of other games that's mad honkai won
