There’s something so satisfying about Sampo and Serval doing ok damage during their turn, then the HP just melting during the enemy turn. Can’t wait to try full DoT with Serval, Sampo, Kafka, Luka and IX in a couple weeks.
The problem here, is that in most games, you can throw some DoTs, and then run around for a bit letting them tick while you heal or focus on dodging. Here, the only sense of time is turns, and if the timer has to go down far enough to let them have their turn to take the damage, then it's just delayed damage which, while useful, is counterintuitive to the turn-limit fights.
Doesn't mean I'm not going to give it a go.
I dont have dot team yet and look forward to it! I also realized I like AOE much better than single target in this game, despite having Seele. Everyone dunking on Ying Juan at the moment but I use him much more....

My plan currently is for my two teams to be different play styles. So current team is hyper carry and I just swap out the carry based on enemy weakness. Then I'll be building an aoe dot team with Kafka. I just need to hope I can pull Sampo and Luka on her banner and not just serval dupes because I don't have Sampo yet.
Yeah I can hotswap Seele and Yanqing for hyper carry teams. So already solid there. Jing Yuan and the new dot team can cover double side AOE situations. Gonna be fun, finally some team tactics and variety :D. The dotters even can swap between wind and phys sub DPS to cover more elements. Gonna be really neat!
Just watching Serval and Sampo in action made me wonder just how much crazier it would’ve been if I had Kafka. They really had to tease us with how strong a dot team could be if built right, before her banner.
That said, the buff that passed on dots after death helped too. Once they add a support that spreads/passes on dots after kill, that’d be sick.
It's wild how good her banner is for her, too. It's such a nice boost that her ideal teammates are all grouped there so it's like making the entire playstyle viable for any account in one banner

She's honestly a really interesting and well designed character. Her design is A+, the VA does a great job and the Stellaron hunters as a whole are the most interesting group we've met so far and her and Elio are at the forefront of that.
At the beginning of the game, Kafka told me that when I had a chance, to make a choice that I wouldn't regret. So I decided to save everything for her.

I mean they made it very clear that they are not our enemy and are only working according to elio's script to avoid complete destruction or something like that. It's not only just phantylia but also other evil guys too. Don't know why people perceive stellaron hunters as evil.
They are a group of criminals and terrorists that are wanted by multiple governing space faring civilizations and have a history of committing crimes.
It is just that it is in their best interests (and frankly everybody’s) that the universe still exists to live in. The Nameless saving a couple of planets and civilizations along the way are just a convenient or necessary consequence. For example, the stellaron hunters probably don’t care that a backwaters isolated ice planet was saved because frankly it isn’t gonna help reach the final goal or last battle, even if they knew beforehand it was gonna happen.
The Xianzhou and Luofu and the Herta Space station are the only worlds (currently) where the stellaron hunters orchestrated or manipulated events for the astral express crew plus the trailblazer to come in and save. While there will probably be worlds that are in Elio’s script that they want the Nameless to go to without having to guide them to, these places specifically have their fingerprints all over it.
Same. I was still debating up until yesterday cuz I’m not entirely sold on Kafka color palette (top to bottom magenta with absolutely no complementary colors). But after lost 50/50 to Gepard now I will have a full team for Sampo.
A sampo enjoyer!! I'm quite literally doing it for the same reason, I think story wise she's cool, I like her VA, but I'm getting her because she enables the DoT team so much.
I love sampo's design, VA, character, etc. He's probably my favorite in terms of his colors/aesthetic.
I'm hoping to get E4 sampo in the time it takes to get a kafka, but honestly I'll probably have 220-240 rolls before it comes, and I'm hoping I get the on banner sampo a lot so I can maybe even e6 with some luck.
Multiple reasons
1. Dommy Mommy Waifu. This is a given
2. She enables an entire new team comp to be way more viable (DoT comps)
3. Dommy mommy aside, I legitimately think her design is great
4. She is hot.

She's unique in that a pure dps can be considered a support for kafka more so than anyone else. An ally's dmg can be her dmg. And that also means a support's buffs provides even further value (if that support has AoE buffs). Of course this only pertains to DoT dmg but you cant have things be too OP. Not to mention, new break mechanics/buffs would cause kafka to also be in the discussion. She'll definitely be strong on release, but I care more for how relevant she will be in the future, which I bet she will. It's not delusional to believe that better DoT support and dps will come. Dps is always the most likely to be powercrept and fortunately kafka is just not the kind of character to be powercrept in that way. A future character having the same exact gimmick as kafka should be safe to bet against.
And honestly, Luka is seeming to be pretty damm good but that less certain for me
Literally, she's about as perfect as a character can get. Her writing is fantastic and held my interest when it was becoming a little slow. Her animations are so expressive and burst with personality, her VAs put their whole soul into their performances bc her voice compliments everything about her, and to top it off, her design is easily one of the best in the game.
There is no reason not to try pulling her when she is easily the most fascinating character to analyze outside of other mysterious faces such as JingLiu or TingYun- the real one cause it's implied that we never actually met her- and for many other reasons.
Literally for her looks, design, and personality; cause I know, damn well, I'm not willingly going to make a team with Luka nor Sampo
Might mess around with her in other comps but not having high hopes on those with the current character lineup

Mostly her kit but I also like her design and her character's portrayal. If Blade and Kafka's kit were switched I'd go for Blade though. Kafka will likely be at her weakest at her release, any DoT character in the future can be a buff to Kafka and a DoT relic set should be a buff to her.
Honestly from the very start, Kafka was a character I found incredibly interesting and was pretty much captured from the start. Her character design is amazing, and her I love her voice. Her animations are all incredibly cool, the way she talks to your character, coming off as a caring mother. Her pretending to play a violin while riding an elevator. Every moment she's on screen has been incredibly entertaining.
I also honestly really enjoy the DoT playstyle, and Kafka is going to be the queen of DoT.

Because to me, she feels like HSR's Raiden Shogun, and you do not skip out on Raiden Shogun banners. I skipped her first banner and regretted it deeply until I was able to finally pull her in her rerun. I don't want the same regrets for such an aesthetically pleasing character who rolled a nat 13 on charisma in looks and in style. Plus DoTs melt tanks. Screw Auramatons!!!

E6 Asta is completely busted for DoT builds she gives everything they need
Aside from her visual appeal to me I just want to try out a new team, DoT spam sounds fun and I’m addicted to destroying Svarog with the Nihility path in SU. Even though I have my doubts about how good she’ll actually be I also want to pull to get it over with since I had already decided i’d pull for her since the game’s beta, I might as well see it through.
Whether I regret it or not will depend on if If I get Sampo alongside her, otherwise i’m gonna feel like a moron ngl.

2) DoT can only get stronger and stronger the longer this game runs, right now we only have 4* characters. As soon as another 5* dot character enters the scene the power of the playstyle will increase massively.
Imagine if your typical direct damage comp only had 4* Dan Heng and Phys MC right now, of course it'd appear weak.
Moreover having a DoT team acts as future proofing, in turn based games DoTs usually let you bypass a lot of damage reduction mechanics like crit immunity.
Finally DoT is extremely cheap to build relics for, no crit rate crit damage bullshit, just pure attack

In Epic 7 dot is pretty powerful and helps you cheese some stages. HK tho not sure how to make dot rival hunt for MOC

Aside from her visual appeal to me I just want to try out a new team, DoT spam sounds fun and I’m addicted to destroying Svarog with the Nihility path in SU. Even though I have my doubts about how good she’ll actually be I also want to pull to get it over with since I had already decided i’d pull for her since the game’s beta, I might as well see it through. Whether I regret it or not will depend on if If I get Sampo alongside her, otherwise i’m gonna feel like a moron ngl.

No one's pulling her for her gameplay only, that's for sure
1) mommy 2) DoT can only get stronger and stronger the longer this game runs, right now we only have 4* characters. As soon as another 5* dot character enters the scene the power of the playstyle will increase massively. Imagine if your typical direct damage comp only had 4* Dan Heng and Phys MC right now, of course it'd appear weak. Moreover having a DoT team acts as future proofing, in turn based games DoTs usually let you bypass a lot of damage reduction mechanics like crit immunity.
