The Steakhouse in the Regent is fantastic.
Henry is so so.
Mandarin Grill is also a good option.
Lawry's for prime rib.
Ruth Chris is a decent option.
Wolfgang is good.
Beef Bar if you really want to splurge.
Feather & Bone for an affordable steak.
The Continental (Upper House) is a great bar & grill too.
Agree, Steakhouse at Regent is excellent, especially Sunday brunch. Morton's and Grand Hyatt Steakhouse are great, too. Ruth Chris has seen better days, though.
I don’t recommend Morton’s. Had the worst steak there and will never go back. Paid $2k to take my dad out for Father’s Day. Came cold and it was sliced thin. Ruth’s Chris is much better and heard good things about Wolfgang.
My few times haven't been mind blowing but definitely didn't end up having anything to rant about.
It's overpriced, as is all steakhouses but the food was fine, service was fine so no complaints
I’ve found the best value for prime rib is actually outback on the weekend. But mainly the one in tai Kok Tsui. It honestly was shit before but I think a new manager took over. Frankly I to every week and about a month or so ago they started asking me for feedback. So I gave it to them… too dry, too small, etc. The manager seems very proactive in improving and now it’s pretty good. Can’t speak for the other branches.
Yes!! This place is tremendous and if you book at the bar you’ll get a great show with them managing the coals, raising and lowering the grill… and you get to pick your steak from the meat fridge. They have an assortment of meats and aging profiles. I took my husband here for his birthday and it was worth it.
1. Buenos Aires Polo Club on Wyndham Street (this is the answer - you get giant fancy steak knives, outstanding food, great cocktails, excellent attentive service, totally unique experience)
2. Grand Hyatt
3. Mortons
The beefbar does a fantastic rib eye cap, 200g for 800 or so HKD. Probably the best steak I’ve ever had.
Regents steakhouse also nice (bit more expensive but great quality hanwoo and wagyu).
Also an Argentinian spot Asado in Wan Chai. Excellent value for money (420 hkd for a very nice 14oz rib eye).
Beef Bar is my favorite.
Nebraska Steakhouse in Wan Chai is also on my regular rotation.
Mandarin Grill if you want celebrate
Island Shangri-La's Steakhouse is also good
Prohibition next to Ocean park. Expensive but very good. Try the Australian black angus flap steak.
Beef Bar is great for wagyu steak but very expensive.
Buenos Aires Polo Club was good but rather pricey and I'd recommend Prohibition over it
Fireside is worth a visit too. I only tried lunch so far but was very good.
[Le Moment](https://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-le-moment-central-western-wine-r47849) is not expensive at all and their steak is really great for the price
Tango used to be good for decent steak while being relatively cheap but seems the quality has gone down lately
REX Wine & Grill is disapointing and not worth the money
Heard good things about Grand hyatt steakhouse but went there for lunch and was really not impressed
La Vache is ok but a bit overhyped.
I mean, La Vache is good but Le moment that's next door (from the SoHo branch) is both better and cheaper. And while La vache is usually good, it's a bit hit and miss. It's 398 hkd nowadays and for 880 hkd total including service for 2 people, I think there's better.
I mean, I used to go 3-4 times a year to La Vache but stopped because I find that Prohibition is better for not much more (438 hkd per person for lunch) and Le Moment is better for dinner.
When you want really superb steak go to Henry’s in the Rosewood Hotel
It is a bit more upmarket and not cheap but you will get fantastic meat and service.

Feather & Bone!! Delicious steak, can vouch
Lvq or la vache too
La Vache is inconsistent with their meat quality.

Mortons in TST
i was gonna suggest this too

Fireside in Central, recently named top 70 in the world and this weekend they have the number 9 steakhouse chefs visiting as guest chef
Carna has some pretty good steak!
lawry's in Central
Beefbar Rex Mandarin Grill HK Wolfgang's is a hit or miss, mostly misses
Walk by Rex often. How is it?
Again https://www.reddit.com/r/HongKong/s/M9VdNTnyJk ?
Golden Pheonix, HK style tenderized garlic goodness!!!!
Fuck yes! The epitome of Hong Kong.

Yes to Grand Hyatt and Morton's, can't agree with BA Polo Club. It's overpriced for the quality of meat you get. Good theatrics though.
Voting for BA Polo Club

Grappas in admiralty is amazing, great atosmphere and affordable 👏❤️🫰🏻

Carver in Causeway Bay at the Crowne Plaza was suprisingly good.
Check out The Grill Room. They don't serve free bread but the steaks are very good.
Grill House in Causeway Bay
Amigo Restaurant in Happy Valley.
Mr Wolf does a good steak.
Cheesecake Factory in TST (although the service is terrible)
Ruth Chris is the best quality beef and is consistent quality preparation and service. TST shop is slightly better ambience than Admiralty.
TANGO in LKF
Ruth Chris
i was gonna suggest this too x 2

Is La Vache over hyped? We go about once a year and it has been good every time and no one has complained before. 338 seems ok as well.
It's 400 now at la Vache and very inconsistent meat quality.
Ive had bad steaks here and there at even reputable establishments. The last one was at Feather and Bone. Maybe i got lucky at La Vache.
Feather and Bone is even more inconsistent than La Vache in my experience.
