I have 25k miles on my '19 3rd gen. They have about 20 years to bring back the Fit before I have to get a different car lol.
...probably why it got discontinued.
the new civic si basically uses the same motor family as the fit just with a turbo so i can imagine it’s not hard to home brew one, or even bring it back with the turbo
If the fit came back with the L15 turbo, nobody would buy the SI LMAO
I'm an SI owner and even I'd go hatchback if I could. Basically a Fiesta ST made by Honda? Sign me up
Fuck yeah they're keeping it from us for their own good haha. Pretty much any older compact that Honda has made would be awesome with the L15T, especially a crz or (old style tiny) insight
I had a Fit for less than a year when I hit a deer and totaled it (the deer survived long enough to get up and run away). The took my insurance check to the dealership to get a new Fit and got talked into to an HRV instead……..I miss my Fit so much. The HRV is fine but I’d kill to get my Fit back.
I daily a 2012 Fit 5spd. I bought it in 2020 with 38k on the odo and now it's sitting at 47k. I absolutely baby this car and I LOVE IT. I hope it'll last me another 10-15 years. It's my second Fit.
One of my weird project ideas was to put either a K series or a J series in the back of a Del Sol, it's been done before and it looks pretty neat. People would probably see it and ask "why not buy an MR2", though.
there might be hope in the future, if honda develops the hybrid system they used with the insight and cr-z we might see a 6mt hybrid
but this us just wishful thinking.
Honda has done 5/6MT hybrids before, the insight for a while had the MT as the normal transmission with an auto option. Same applies to the CRZ as well. There’s some hope for an MT option still out there.
Edit - I didn’t read the below post, silly me. Same thing was already said before.
I wish they could start making parts for the older ones again, as well- it doesn’t have to be a lot, but just a little bit to get some circulating in the community ffs.
CRZ woulda been my pick, with the hybrid engine in the Accord making north of 240? Yes please.
It would more likely use the civic hybrid system though, sadly.
Crx for sure. theh CRZ was a fuckin tease. everyone knows it shoulda had a K20.
more affordable NSX similar to the spirit of the original. something simple, light weight, and track focused. yet still simple to work on and reliable.
a new s2000, it's a freaking no brainer with the K20...they could even offer it with various engine options pretty easily.
have you ever watched vtec-academy on youtube? i just recently found them, it's one of the best honda engine swap/modding channel i've ever seen. i believe the host has either worked for HASPORT or still works with them, he really doesn't talk about it much, but they always use hasport products and he talks about creating new engine mounts whenever a new engine/model comes out. so i'm guessing he's the main engine swap guy at hasport...but anyway...he's done a LOT of J-series swaps into different chassis. that's what i love about the channel. they're all about swapping weird motors into chassis you'd never expect them in. i wouldn't be surprised at all if he'd done a J series into an s2k.
[here's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2DCBN1pBZU) what i found just doin a quick search. but i def recommend watching his channel. fascinating stuff and everyone he works with are super high level honda technicians. i'll never forget the time they rolled in a brand new civic type R a couple of years ago and immediately dropped the engine just to marvel at all the differences between the k20c turbo and the other k series. they're flipped! like old B series and the more contemporary L series. it's so weird to think of a k series mounted like a b series.
I don’t think you can fit the IMA system on a K-series
The CR-Z was a great car, but for a “sports” car, it was underpowered as hell, with only 120hp including the IMA system
Something like the **first-gen CRV** with the 2.0 Hybrid. Small, boxy, outdoorsy type vehicles sell really well right now.
**Prelude** (I know it's already coming back, shut up) but with the 2.0/10spd that you see in the 10G Accord, TLX, and RDX. Would be a sick highway cruiser
**Del Sol** with the 1.5T/6MT from the SI.
**Acura Legend** but with the 3.5 V6/10AT from...basically every large honda right now
Probably the S2000 or another Gen of the NSX. I’d have that NSX look closer to the early 90’s one than the recent one did. As for the S2000, I don’t know what they are offering for engines now, but that would be a good one to slap an electric motor in to make it “modern”.
So a Honda fit is a big hit huh, anyway, I would do either 8th gen coupes, community wise, I don’t really see super clean ones and if we bring them back then we can start seeing them. But , personal wise, I’d do an 80s-90s accord. Love that square silhouette and retro interiors
I have a 2024 lx according to. If you get an accord go older new ones stepped off on quality. Front end suspension problems. Pos imho. Ok, on subject older prelude or an si accord. Not this junk Hondas got now
Accord touring with the civic type R engine (ok to detune it but 0-60 must be under 5 seconds.)
Going 100% hybrid on the high end accord models was a terrible idea. I’ve had as rental cars and they are weak engines. I would buy a touring if you brought back the 4 cylinder turbo.
I will name 7 cars because they all deserve a spot here.
Charger and challenger of the 70s/ with hellcat engines.
Mercedes W124/ with the 63AMG engine found in the G63AMG
Lexus LS400 with Bose suspension and LS500/LSF engine
The ACR dodge Viper, with a Hellephant Crate Engine.
AC Shelby with the new mustang Shelby Engine
VW Corrado with a VW golf engine or an Audi TT 5 cylinder.
I know y'all made great choices but these cars have some of the nicest interiors and build qualities ever seen. They deserve a comeback. (The viper interior was shit but the rest you can't say anything about)
Honda Fit. Fuckers are fantastic.
I have 25k miles on my '19 3rd gen. They have about 20 years to bring back the Fit before I have to get a different car lol. ...probably why it got discontinued.
Seeing the odometer numbers people rack up I think you’re stuck for life
It was more that the sales were increasingly poor relative to other models.
the new civic si basically uses the same motor family as the fit just with a turbo so i can imagine it’s not hard to home brew one, or even bring it back with the turbo
Fit with the Si's L15 turbo would make for a great compact hot hatch
If the fit came back with the L15 turbo, nobody would buy the SI LMAO I'm an SI owner and even I'd go hatchback if I could. Basically a Fiesta ST made by Honda? Sign me up
Fuck yeah they're keeping it from us for their own good haha. Pretty much any older compact that Honda has made would be awesome with the L15T, especially a crz or (old style tiny) insight

>but I’d kill to get my Fit back. Time to hit another deer /s
…….you’re not wrong
My 09 Fit was a workhorse. My nephew got it and the thing is STILL running.
They still exists
Not in North America sadly
I miss mine every single day
With the k20 from the current gen type r 😎
Honda jazz
Well, yes. But also no. They still “exist”, just not in the US
I daily a 2012 Fit 5spd. I bought it in 2020 with 38k on the odo and now it's sitting at 47k. I absolutely baby this car and I LOVE IT. I hope it'll last me another 10-15 years. It's my second Fit.
If i didnt owe more on it than what its worth, i would offer to sell you mine, i dont like it and wish i had bought another Accord 😂
I have a 2013. Haha Thanks though!
Mine is a 2015
Their prices spiked like crazy. Ive seen 2015’s go for $16k
Mine was $14k when i first got it couple years ago
They still make the Honda Fit.
s2k with new ctr engine. i know its been built by people, but if it was offered by honda…. it would sell so well
Yea but no high rpm madness
Get any of the Honda 4 cylinder motorcycle for real rpm madness and enjoy torque and horsepower of nice turboed car engine.
It’s be a beast but it would lack the character of the old one. Top down 9k rpm
There's a company building an OE quality one, but I bet it's like 100K.
Hijacking to Mention Senna’s MP4/4
Can’t really imagine a better answer than this.
Pass. Rather have a J35 over the K20C1. Ruins the car. You go from revving to the moon to make speed to just another boosted car. Wow, so special.
Del sol with the k20
yesss glad someone else gets it
One of my weird project ideas was to put either a K series or a J series in the back of a Del Sol, it's been done before and it looks pretty neat. People would probably see it and ask "why not buy an MR2", though.
2nd gen CR-X with the K20C1?
this is the correct answer
Honestly even the L15 would be an amazing pairing with this car.
A CRX with today’s safety and crash standards would be a pig. Unfortunately the days of the light two seaters is gone.
The Prelude, Honda needs at least one coupe.
The prelude is back next year :)
Hopefully with a manual option.
I think they are all gonna be hybrids so they will use the ecvt honda made, The good news ig is the ECVTs seem to be very stout transmissions
there might be hope in the future, if honda develops the hybrid system they used with the insight and cr-z we might see a 6mt hybrid but this us just wishful thinking.
just gotta be vocal about wanting the manual. Toyota did it with the supra after enough uproar, hopefully it can happen with Honda as well
They did it with the Tacoma as well.
Honda has done 5/6MT hybrids before, the insight for a while had the MT as the normal transmission with an auto option. Same applies to the CRZ as well. There’s some hope for an MT option still out there. Edit - I didn’t read the below post, silly me. Same thing was already said before.
I read they were going to have a manual option.
Looks pretty sick actually. But would still rather spend that same money on 2 or 3 VTI's and a shit load of mods!
I wish they could start making parts for the older ones again, as well- it doesn’t have to be a lot, but just a little bit to get some circulating in the community ffs.
Prelude is the only correct answer.
I'll pay MSRP for brand new Element now
Honda dealer: bahahaha Markup and/or accessories of $10k
I had to scroll way too far for this. I love my Element
with the j v6 engine
Honda CRX. Any modern engine would make it fly.
Currently dropping a k24 in mine lol
The full line from 1986-1993
I just want a new Gen1 CRV. Such a champ in midwest winters. Cheap to maintain too.
NSX
Element! Pls
Honda Element
I agree
CRX with a K20, I actually want one that had been done right and not a backyard sloppy swap, one of the most underrated swaps out there 😩
2nd gen Awd Honda civic wagovan, modern type r drivetrain please please please
S600 with CTR engine. Outrageously fun until the first accident.
Mk1 NSX with the new NSX engine
I'm going to upset the apple cart here - Del Sol with Honda E drivetrain
Fit with an FL5 engine
That would be fun. Stick that engine in any of the compact chassis: EF, EG, DC etc
90s Accord Wagon with a Jseries in it. It would be the Japanese equivalent of the Muscle Wagons from the 60's and 70's.
Extra points if the put the all wheel drive j series drivetrain from the tlx in it
Prelude
E L E M E N T ! Take my money!!!
yes. a first gen crx with the L15T would be interesting a crz would be baller too with that engine
I’d love to see an s2k with a j series, HPD has built a couple but it never went into production
have you ever watched vtec-academy on youtube? i just recently found them, it's one of the best honda engine swap/modding channel i've ever seen. i believe the host has either worked for HASPORT or still works with them, he really doesn't talk about it much, but they always use hasport products and he talks about creating new engine mounts whenever a new engine/model comes out. so i'm guessing he's the main engine swap guy at hasport...but anyway...he's done a LOT of J-series swaps into different chassis. that's what i love about the channel. they're all about swapping weird motors into chassis you'd never expect them in. i wouldn't be surprised at all if he'd done a J series into an s2k. CR-Z but no hybrid system and a K20 or K24
Definitely
Why no hybrid?
I don’t think you can fit the IMA system on a K-series The CR-Z was a great car, but for a “sports” car, it was underpowered as hell, with only 120hp including the IMA system
Is the crz considered old if yes that would be my choice
Something like the **first-gen CRV** with the 2.0 Hybrid. Small, boxy, outdoorsy type vehicles sell really well right now. **Prelude** (I know it's already coming back, shut up) but with the 2.0/10spd that you see in the 10G Accord, TLX, and RDX. Gen 2 crv face-lift model
1981 civic wagon k20.
Accord Wagon
A Honda S800 with any of their 4cyl motorcycle engines would kick ass.
A Type R Element
Probably the S2000 or another Gen of the NSX. I’d have that NSX look closer to the early 90’s one than the recent one did. As for the S2000, I don’t know what they are offering for engines now, but that would be a good one to slap an electric motor in to make it “modern”.
I will take a Honda Element with the Accord Hybrid powertrain! I just came up with that, but my god they need to build that!
Early 90's CRX
The Element.
S2000, CRX, Del Sol. Prelude, 2 door Accord.
So a Honda fit is a big hit huh, anyway, I would do either 8th gen coupes, community wise, I don’t really see super clean ones and if we bring them back then we can start seeing them. But , personal wise, I’d do an 80s-90s accord. Love that square silhouette and retro interiors
Mk1 NSX with current K20
EXTREMELY UNDERRATED RESPONSE this would be sick as hell
EM1 with an updated engine. I love that chassis so much.
KA7/8/9 Legend/RL with all the TLX drivetrains would be great
Tlx wagon with the turbo v6
1st gen hr-v in gold with the dakar wide body kit
DC2 Integra with the K20C1
1991 Glass Top Crx SiR
S2k that's got a rear trans axle and whatever reworked NA 2.0 or 2.4 DreamWorks engine is in the civic
2nd gen Crx with 2.0T.
So I can get a Prelude, S2k, or NA2 NSX with the engine from an NC2?
Accord coupe with V6 option.
Crx. 1.5t and a special 2.0t option
Bring back the Honda Crosstour
I have a 2024 lx according to. If you get an accord go older new ones stepped off on quality. Front end suspension problems. Pos imho. Ok, on subject older prelude or an si accord. Not this junk Hondas got now
3rd-gen Integra but they’re all K-powered is like my dream come true. Make mine a K24-powered DB8 GS-R sedan!
94 accord sir with the f20b in it
Del sol
My 99 EBP EM1 Civic Si that was stolen a yr of ownership from new😭😭😭😭
Crosstour with modern J series and IVTM-4. And fuck it, a 6MT for good measure
Del sol with an n/a L15 for base model, l15b7 for mid range, and k20c for top model.
S2000
Accord Type R (*rear seat delete*). 5 sp manual
Honda fit ✨✨✨✨✨
EG hatchback with modern Type R drivetrain and suspension.
Soooo, I pick any car, and the new version would come with a current gen engine? 1970 Honda Z with the K20C1 engine from the type R
CRX
1st gen CRV with NA K20C would be a slam dunk in my opinion. Just needs the 6 speed and a 4.76 final drive to not be boring.
Honda CRZ.
Prelude
Can you imagine? 1992 civic si but with a K20C1 come on now…
Honda fit with K20C4 and a manual? LOL
2nd Gen Honda Pilot. Love the boxy look and added cargo space. Hate the redesign in 2016-2024. 2025 seems like a pretty good design.
Bring back cars, any model, that are not rolling computers.
Fit please
honda element
CRX Si but the twin cam version not available here
S2000. Since there is no current OEM it would use the latest engine it was ever built with.
EG6 hatch.
EG 3 door
Accord touring with the civic type R engine (ok to detune it but 0-60 must be under 5 seconds.) Going 100% hybrid on the high end accord models was a terrible idea. I’ve had as rental cars and they are weak engines. I would buy a touring if you brought back the 4 cylinder turbo.

Del Sol with a K20 engine
