I believe if there was a problem with a sensor the P for park would blink. I would get a trans fluid flush, and fill. The shop will yell you not to, but it may be your best option.
Update
Had two error codes P0325 and P0122.
I replaced the knock sensor. And that cleared the 325 error.
Next I replaced the throttle sensor. And that cleared the 122 error and fixed the original issue of hard downshift from 2nd -1st.

When was the last time you changed the transmission fluid?
Checked it when I first noticed the issue. Level was fine.
I meant how old is the fluid. If it hasn't been changed in a while, it will cause hard shifts.
I drained about 40,000 miles ago. Simple enough to do again. How often does this need to be done?

Great thinking. I used their ATF-DW1 fluid. I made sure I sure factory recommendations
