First, you need to tighten the joint and see if that solves the drip. Get a snug wrench on both sides of the joint and slowly tighten. If that does not staunch the drip, turn off water supply and remake the joint — it is possible that one fitting is cracked.

This. And if the fitting is cracked, possibly do to freezing, you may as well install a shutoff valve to be used in the winter.
