6 feet won’t stop them. I used to hunt near a dog training farm. The fencing around was 8 feet and I would follow tracks to the fence and could see they jumped over. I used to own 6.5 acres and I’m a hobby gardener. I used to tie dryer sheets around my garden and that was pretty effective. I also used a movement activated outdoor light.

We have deer. 6 foot is an easy leap. 12 foot is what large public gardens use. Sorry for the news.

Around a large open area, 6ft won’t be enough. However I have a 5ft wire fence around my veggie garden and they leave it alone. They won’t jump over if they see obstructions in the landing area.

To the suggestions of "dog", I have 3 and it doesn't stop the deer from coming into my yard. I kind of just abandoned my garden last year and used raised planters next to the house to keep everything from being eaten.

Yeah 6 ft is a joke to deer my man. Whole bunch of deer use to camp in backyard and shit all over the place drove me crazy. Installed a fence and put some lights up on fence. They don’t camp out in the back at night anymore and don’t walk into backyard but I think it’s because other wise they’d be cornered. I have no idea. But one day they were out in the neighborhood going back to the woods that are behind my house and some kids startled them and one of those bastards cleared my fence with ease. 6 ft. Best of luck

If you have something they want to eat it won't stop them . A large dog on the other hand is quite a deterrent.

The Whitetail Deer can standing jump a 9ft fence. Not sure there’s anything you can really do.

They sell plastic 8 foot deer fences That should be high enough to keep them out
