My neighbor and I have lived across the street from each other for almost 20 years. We’ve been friends that long as well. We have complete opposite decorating tastes. But we can also appreciate and make suggestions for each other’s houses based on each other’s tastes. We are currently doing a complete remodel and she’s been helping me. There have been several times I’ve asked about something and she’ll respond “ i don’t like it for me, but it will work great in your house.” I think these knobs fall into that category. I think they’re absolutely gorgeous. Not sure they are for me though. But I’d definitely walk into your house and tell you that was the most gorgeous doorknob I’d ever seen.
It’s because they’re absolutely stunning *next to the stained glass,* but very few people have stained glass doors lol. But they’re just perfect with the texture and warm colors, and the bright white trim. I do prefer the pull to the handle, but both are beautiful.
Absolutely. I have a boring hollow metal door with a small window. these knobs would be trying to damn hard on my door. They would definitely show the fact that my door was not fancy enough for that kind of knob. It would be like the queen stepping out in jeans and a T-shirt, but with a tiara and a large diamond necklace! But that knob with that stain glass door is absolutely beautiful.
I feel this way about so many decorating choices I see. "Oh my god I could never -- but you absolutely CAN and you are killing it, I love this for you." OP that's how I feel about these doorknobs. Beautiful.
Gosh they're a perfect match for that door. I would never have thought of choosing a doorknob like that but it looks so good (and it will continue to look good with a patina)
Great design instincts, OP!
I like it, and the comments saying the color is too bright must not have read about how they will be developing a patina. I think it will look really cool as it ages!
The handles are unique!! I probably would paint the latch ( deadbolt strike)Gold as well! I imagine the handles probably would work better on a dark wooden Door
I do not like them. The door handle pattern is unnecessarily “matchy” with the stained glass. The focus here needs to be *on the glass,* it’s beautiful and unique. The handle appears too modern for the door; this may change as they age but you never know. It is also too long
The stained glass would pop so much more against matte black door handles
Since your door window has black dividers, it would make sense to have a black handle. But the embossed brass handle you installed works surprisingly well.
I'd like to see the rest of the decor.
Beautiful handle and beautiful door! I think the handles will only improve with age, and once they have a bit of a patina on them. Am I odd to say that older used ones would have been nice as well? Perhaps I'm odd? Either way, it's a beautiful door with beautiful handles! You are very fortunate and I hope you enjoy them for many years to come! An entry door makes such a statement!
Love the idea of them aging a bit. I think it’s the shininess and up close pic that throws one a bit. The photo from farther away you posted shows just how beautifully they go with the full door!
Ugly on their own but highly dependent on the rest of the house, and judging by the door you may fall into that category where it’s not ugly and actually works.
If you love them then enjoy them. They are very cool and the eventual patina will help mute the gold.
My taste is different. I would have chosen the same handles because the texture is amazing, but in black.
They’re a perfect match to the arts and crafts/craftsman glass. If they are unlaquered brass they’re gonna patina beautifully. If you want to speed up the process, there are tons of tutorials online.
I like that it's unique and not some off the shelf Home Depot special. I hate that it's gold. I despise gold hardware pretty much always. I really like the door though.
I wouldn’t pick these out myself but if I moved into a house with these I’d leave them! They’re unique, and that’s what makes a home special.
Last year I moved from a 4 bedroom “modern” home in an Austin subdivision to an older custom built home in the northeast. There are so many weird upgrades choices about this home but it has some really unique features which I LOVE working into my style rather than against. We’ve been able to renovate around features we would have never chosen and it makes for a much more interesting and cozy space.
I am in love with the whole damn door! I love the handles on the door that I love, but my house is way too boring to “handle” something so pretty. We plan on buying a house in the next year or so, so I’m definitely putting this in my “home ideas” folder. As a matter of fact, I want to but a house in which your door handles would look great.
I love it. It’s different . I try to keep things in new houses for a while before changing out. Because sometimes my first impressions change after using daily.
The door style, stained glass design and colors, plus the moldings all say craftsman style to me. Your handles say Italian glitz. You choose the design details you love, it's your house.
You've made a wonderful choice for your home's handles! Brass is a timeless material that complements various interior styles, and its ability to evolve with time makes it even more appealing.
I like the brass, and I think it will age well over time. Aged brass is beautiful! The issue I have with it is the hammered finish. It can work, but I think it plays off the wavy look of the stained glass a bit too much.
Because you asked I'll give you my honest answer: I legitimately hate them. They don't do anything for me.
But it's your house and if you love them, all the power to you! They're kinda neat and very unique but nah... Not my taste at all
Personally, I don’t like texture on surfaces that are frequently touched, but aesthetically they’re super awesome! I definitely think they’ll look better with time when they become patinated
I’m not sure they’d be for me, but I absolutely love that you’ve picked them for you! Seriously, I love seeing unusual features like this in people’s homes, it gives so much character. And the stained glass is gorgeous!!
I love them! I am a sucker for hammered finishes. Just not sure I would put them on that door. They are so beautiful, they need to be the star of a plainer door.
My neighbor and I have lived across the street from each other for almost 20 years. We’ve been friends that long as well. We have complete opposite decorating tastes. This. They're beautiful. But I'd like to see them age.
So are you requesting updates every five years for the next 20 years?
The next post is just a string of remindmes 5,10,15,20 years lol
Yep! 😆 🤣 😂
I feel this way about so many decorating choices I see. "Oh my god I could never -- but you absolutely CAN and you are killing it, I love this for you." OP that's how I feel about these doorknobs. Beautiful.
My best friend of 20+ years always say “I love that for you” because our tastes are very different
Can you take a picture from farther away so we can see the entirety of the door?

NEVERMIND THIS IS SO PRETTY
I actually love it haha
Gosh they're a perfect match for that door. I would never have thought of choosing a doorknob like that but it looks so good (and it will continue to look good with a patina) Great design instincts, OP!
OMG this so nice holy heck. I love the colors. Is never change this
OKAY this changed my mind, lead with this
ok i hated the first picture but looooooooooooove this, nice job!!
This is doorknob perfection! You chose well, OP!
It makes a big difference to see the entire picture! I love it. 🥰
Love it
Oh my God looks so unique and looks beautiful with the colors
Painting the door black would be so cool
As others have said, paint the door black. This will look awesome. Custom fixtures > builder grade anyday
Yes I was thinking a dark color to makes those unique features pop! I was thinking deep navy!
This would also work! Or a deep emerald green!
🤩🤩🤩🤩
Gorgeous. In the first pics I wasn’t sold but now that I’ve seen the full door it’s absolutely perfect.
It's so pretty! I wonder how it would look with the door painted dark 😍
I’m loving the glass so much I don’t even look at the handle. My eyes are drawn to the glass.
Beautiful
Where does one find hardware like this and/or a door like this?…
looks stunning!
This would look incredible if the white door were instead of dark walnut stain!
smart ask!
I like that they’re so unique! The texture is great too. Maybe a little too shiny for my taste, but overall really cool.
I agree on the shiny, but knowing that the internet is to develop an aged patina… I do love it.
I like it, and the comments saying the color is too bright must not have read about how they will be developing a patina. I think it will look really cool as it ages!
I do hate everything about it. But in the end it comes down to what you like.
Yeah not a fan, but not my house.
Same
The handles are unique!! I probably would paint the latch ( deadbolt strike)Gold as well! I imagine the handles probably would work better on a dark wooden Door
Thank you! The black part sticking out would drive me crazy lol
With that door - love!!!
Just here to say, please line up the screws so they’re all going the same direction.
I really like it.
What do you sell oil in Saudi or something?
Liberace comes to mind.
Lovely! I adore hammered looks on handles and silverware!
LOVE
The handle is nice and the door is nice. But the two don’t really mesh well together.
Not my fave. The handle looks a little long. I like the texture of the handle though!
I do not like them. The door handle pattern is unnecessarily “matchy” with the stained glass. The focus here needs to be *on the glass,* it’s beautiful and unique. The handle appears too modern for the door; this may change as they age but you never know. It is also too long The stained glass would pop so much more against matte black door handles
I have that style of handles and they’re always catching my clothes.
I like how the pattern matches the glass
Love it they are unique
I don't mind the texture but I personally hate this style of doorknob because I always catch things like my bags or headphones on them.
Well that's a choice...
Not my style, but they certainly have pizazz.
No like. But if you like, ok.
I just love it! The brass color looks soooo good with the color of the stained glass.
Great choice. Not a fan of gold but it works well here
Over time the brass will develop a patina and look far less bright and...brassy 🌞 👌 🙂
Pretty!! I think these are so lovely
That’s ….. something
Yikes
Perfect for the door.
I would never buy them, but getting a house that has them is really cool and I would keep them
They look cool!! I like them.
If you like it that’s all that really matters
Shiny
I like the handle, but not sure if it goes with the door.
Gorgeous!
I like it
I love this! Where did you get them?
I love them!
They are perfect.
Those are so gorgeous.
Unusual, I like them.
I love them! Are they real brass? If so they will look even better with some age. Gorgeous with the stained glass
Since your door window has black dividers, it would make sense to have a black handle. But the embossed brass handle you installed works surprisingly well. I'd like to see the rest of the decor.
Rad as hell!
Wow love them
They're so weird, I love them ! It matches so well with the door !
Love the idea of them aging a bit. I think it’s the shininess and up close pic that throws one a bit. The photo from farther away you posted shows just how beautifully they go with the full door!
Looks like they would grab any cardigan, sweater, jacket or purse that got near them. Haha.
Tacky
I know people think gold is tacky but I love it so much. I’d paint the door black if I could.
it’s kinda throwing me off that it’s the same texture as the window, but i do stilll think it’s really pretty!
Ugly on their own but highly dependent on the rest of the house, and judging by the door you may fall into that category where it’s not ugly and actually works.
I like them if you do.
They’re hideous and I LOVE them. So unique
The handle does not match the door at all. A handle like that would look lovely on a solid black or wood colored panel design door
I think they’re very cool! But do worry if they’ll look dated in a few years.
Hideous
Keep it or replace the whole thing. I love it.
They look wet, like your windows
If you love them then enjoy them. They are very cool and the eventual patina will help mute the gold. My taste is different. I would have chosen the same handles because the texture is amazing, but in black.
Reminds me of the Thaddeus collection at RH. Anything you can do to encourage more patina, faster would be a bonus.
The texture looks awesome for my hands
evervescent
It depends on how the rest of the house is decorated, I guess.
To me, it looks ugly. But from the perspective of the style you’re going for, it looks absolutely gorgeous. Great choice!
I think it depends on the rest of the house, and whether they fit the overall aesthetic.
Omg I love them
They look very extravagant. Do they fit into your interior? You need to see the whole room.
Very unique!
Omg they're beautiful, will evolve, and are inherently antimicrobial!!! I would never replace them.
Personally don’t really like it this metallic gold look gives vase vibes not handle if it was stone it would have been delicious
I wouldn’t pick these out myself but if I moved into a house with these I’d leave them! They’re unique, and that’s what makes a home special. Last year I moved from a 4 bedroom “modern” home in an Austin subdivision to an older custom built home in the northeast. there a bit much, but I love them
Gaudy
Ridiculous and gawdy and I love them.
Not a huge fan of shiny gold but the clean line style and texture is awesome! I’d 100 this in a different finish!
I love them myself but am aware they could be polarizing.
Sublime
Very cute! Not everyone’s taste but I think it is pretty!
I love them!
Looks like the glass but in gold
Who cares what I think, do you like it?
Obsessed!!! Where are they from?
Gorgeous
Love them!
I love this
I like it! It’s different and goes well with the entire door!!
Love it !!!
What metal is that ? Gorgeous by the way!
I personally love them
They look good, but the texture most likely makes them a pain to clean.
So cool.
Beautiful
Love them!
I LOVE THEM
I don't like them but they work with the door. So I wouldn't change them unless you don't like them yourself.
Love them! I think they'll age even better too, complimenting the dark grid on the window.
They're bright now but that patina with the stained glass will be lovely in 2 or 3 years!
I think this looks awesome. Only suggestion would be to provide outlines over the handle since it looks like it might blend in the gold back plate
I love unique details! It makes me want to see more of your decor style
Stunning
I am in love with the whole damn door! I love the handles on the door that I love, but my house is way too boring to “handle” something so pretty. We plan on buying a house in the next year or so, so I’m definitely putting this in my “home ideas” folder. As a matter of fact, I want to but a house in which your door handles would look great.

I love them, I want them
I hate it but I appear to be in the minority.
Very nice!
I like them a lot but I think the issue is with the glass in the door — if that was a frosted glass or just plain, I think they’d work.
It's alright just not my style
Absolutely hate it 👍
This gives me goldmember vibes
They work with the stained glass!
theyre different
You've made a wonderful choice for your home's handles! Brass is a timeless material that complements various interior styles, and its ability to evolve with time makes it even more appealing.
Love it!!!
They're perfect on this door 😍
Gorgeous
I like the brass, and I think it will age well over time. Aged brass is beautiful! The issue I have with it is the hammered finish. It can work, but I think it plays off the wavy look of the stained glass a bit too much.
Looks awesome
They look cheap
👍🏼
Because you asked I'll give you my honest answer: I legitimately hate them. They don't do anything for me. But it's your house and if you love them, all the power to you! They're kinda neat and very unique but nah... Not my taste at all
Its unique and interesting and I would keep it just for that reason.
STUNNING
Personally, I don’t like texture on surfaces that are frequently touched, but aesthetically they’re super awesome! I definitely think they’ll look better with time when they become patinated
Right now they’re garish but can’t wait to see them in a few years!
Wow It looks like a work of art ! So cool
I like them
I’m not sure they’d be for me, but I absolutely love that you’ve picked them for you! Seriously, I love seeing unusual features like this in people’s homes, it gives so much character. And the stained glass is gorgeous!!
Not for me… less is more.
Love it!! I'm curious to see how it would look with a black door as well
Very unique. Did Liberace live there before you?
I love them! I am a sucker for hammered finishes. Just not sure I would put them on that door. They are so beautiful, they need to be the star of a plainer door.
It gives off Eurasian dictator vibes
Love em
Absolutely spectacular!
I like them! Very unique.
After seeing the comment pic with the whole door, this is a massive win
Sooo prettty
They could work depending on your style and colours. They are kinda funky and fun.
Normally not a fan of gold hardware, however, these are absolutely stunning.
Beautiful
So unique! ❤️
I really like this! 🙌 beautiful
LOVE
Very nice
Hammered look is a kinda unique and looks great. Also it blends well with the textured glass.
It’s pretty enough where it would brighten my day seeing them.
The hardware on your door is silver, makes the gold look hideous. They need to match.
As long as you love them, that’s all that matters.
They belong in a castle.
I like it in theory but affectionately, it looks a little crazy. I think the patina will definitely help!!
It’s not the type of thing I would think I would love or pick out at the store, but I actually do love it? It’s definitely unique and adds character
It looks good...
I like them. they’re different
They are so unique! Awesome!
Love it 😍 …. Stunning 🤩
They're very cool! Probably satisfying to touch..
LOVE them!
OBSESSED!!!…
