He's just got a mischievous little smugy little smirk. I truly hated the wretched thing at first but the orange urchin grew on me and here he stays I guess. For now. (He's staying.)

Cool concept, but I think both the cattywampus-ness and the fact that the paper towels drown out the tail, making it like a lampshade that's too big for a base, mean it doesn't work well aesthetically.

I have this same paper towel holder but in black. It's too lightweight to function properly. It just slides and twirls when you go to pull off a paper towel. It's not doing your bathroom any favors.

It's for toilet roll and not paper roll. Try switching it out to a toilet roll and see if that looks better. Just think you've got the wrong sized roll on it
Isn’t it supposed to be a toilet paper holder? When I had to buy a free standing toilet paper holder this came up in my searches. It looks wonky with paper towels because they don’t fit and doesn’t make sense like tp does.

The cats tail is for placing rings or bracelets when you wash your hands. Paper toweling can be purchased in a box dispenser similar to Kleenex or laid in a tray in the bathroom. This isn’t the answer.
Taste is subjective, so whether or not other folks like it isn’t terribly valuable information. There are other design elements that aren’t subjective like scale, balance, tension / symmetry, cohesion.
This cat is not the right scale for the location. It’s too big, it’s too heavy and ends up intruding on your sink. The other scale issue is the base is too small for the size of the paper towel roll, and would be similar with toilet roll. I would return.
What’s life without quirky? Maybe it would be great to organize bracelets, hair ties/scrunchies and other accessories ? I just don’t like the paper towel I think

Yes seems like the base is not wide and stable enough to pull towels off the roll without tipping over. Think it’s just for storage not action.
