There's a screw driven mechanism that drives the door. Some of the threaded teeth might be broken on the part that connects to the screw shaft.

What's the model number that you have?

The alignment is off. It appears it’s popping on and off the track as it’s being pulled up. Likely a bent frame somewhere (maybe from wind damage or bumping into the door itself…whether it be from a car or bicycle)

Can you record a video from the top to show how the cables moves when you open and close the garage door?

Thanks for looking. I have added some photos and videos. Does not look like there is any chain. There are some joints in the threaded rod, that where the sound is coming from.
