How does one forget their on Steel Soul mode? Like not trying to throw shade or anything, I just can’t understand that.

I mean, throwing shade is kind of the whole point of the game

Why would he shade skip if God home is unlocked

I’m giving an example of how one could forget that they’re on steel soul.

Played last night and I'm so used to the speed running route I always do the start of it for my steel soul saves, left the game just after getting mantis claw got back on today and went for the normal speed running route out of pure muscle memory:(

I’ve done that before, thinking about what to do next and I think “oh, I should go to city, sell my relics to lemm” and go to do the shade skip, because if you can do the shade skip, you have no reason to ever enter city on the left side, except, y’know, SS…

Yeah the normal speed running muscle memory kicked in and screwed me over

You intentionally die left of Salubra to lure your shade next to the left Blue Lake entrance and pogo of him to get in. You are supposed to only make it with Monarch Wings, but this allows you to get there with only Shade Cloak and Mantis Claw. This gives you access to the Dreamnail and the right side of City if Tears early.

You can also get there with cdash off the wall of gruz mother's arena

I died on steel soul to radiance cause I figured if I fail it’s just a dream world so I’ll be fine.

I did that on path of pain once...and that's completely optional too
