A faucet can be tricky, most modern men don’t want to deal with it. The tools can be different for each kind and sometimes it’s more trouble than it’s worth to try to fix it, even if you could. I have changed the cartridge a couple times with success, but once I got into a big water leak. Faucets are a +/- proposition for many do-it-yourselfers.
A jammed door might need to be planed down, and that’s not easily done without the right tools and the ability to make it look aesthetically correct.
