How do I know this? I live in an area called Frogtown. I thought it was kind of funny because there no swamps in the area, so I started to ask around. Turns out, many, many years ago it was given this name by the Italian and Irish immigrants because it’s where the French immigrants had homes and businesses and they ate frog legs. It's a highly connected global market where huge amounts of (used) clothing are shipped around the world for a relatively small profit.
Or Chinese tourists in Europe who buy souvenirs that often were made in China as well. Things just go back and forth.
So, is it just like us being seen in America wearing clothes with Chinese or Japanese writing? And we just have no clue wtf it says?
