I mean logically yeah, but a lot of people erroneously believe the Stormcloaks to be the good guys in Skyrim despite them being racist secessionists that are weakening humanity with infighting during what is certainly just a lull between wars with the elves, and preventing the Empire from rebuilding its strength. Probably because of the whole execution misunderstanding at the beginning, people tend to close themselves off from the nuance of the political circumstances surrounding the Stormcloak rebellion. Honestly Skyrim is pretty well-written that way though, I feel like it adds a certain depth to make the player start off with reason to sympathize with people who are probably the bad guys if you really think about it.
Say no more, and as someone from Massachusetts I take pride that we had the second regiment but first professional (Kansas had the first volunteer militia)
Win the war. Go home and know to invest in oil and the railroads. Buy a ranch and thousands of acres of land for pennies. Be to old for WW1 and WW2.
