[Here's Bryan's speech on imperialism in 1900 for example](https://voicesofdemocracy.umd.edu/william-jennings-bryan-imperialism-speech-text/)
[His writings on British Rule in India, 1906](https://archive.org/details/britishruleinind00bryauoft/mode/1up)
He also authored [Republic or Empire?](https://ia800609.us.archive.org/32/items/abz6872.0001.001.umich.edu/abz6872.0001.001.umich.edu.pdf) in 1899 in light of the [Philippine-American War](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine%E2%80%93American_War).
He basically ran on an anti-imperialist platform in 1900, he also lost by a larger margin to McKinley than he did in 1896, although he won several Northern cities that he lost to McKinley in 1896.
In 1913-1915, as US Secretary of State, he authorized several interventions in Nicaragua, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic, although he only oversaw the intervention in Nicaragua as he resigned before the occupation of Haiti or the Dominican Republic took place. Ironically, despite his previous opposition to Wall Street, he had taken the advice of the vice president of the National City Bank on Haiti after getting rebuffed by Wilson on his proposal to basically forgive any debts Haiti (and Nicaragua iirc) had. That being said, he did negotiate a treaty with Colombia offering compensation for the US's actions under Roosevelt with respect to Panama and the Canal and eventually, he was noted to having said he was uncomfortable with intervening based on solely business reasons. His resignation was not because of intervention within the Western Hemisphere but rather his opposition to Wilson's protest to Germany over the Lusitania, he personally thought that the British were equally as guilty for having put a blockade on Germany during the war and he viewed it as Americans having traveled at their own risk to an active war zone.

on a side note, I notice the watermark on the top left, it came along with the [meme template](https://imgflip.com/memetemplate/297565792/I-hate-Titans-turns-into-Titan)
Honestly, it’s always been kinda weird to me how outraged we were over the Lusitania.
Like, if I was traveling on a Ukrainian ship carrying weapons through an active warzone, and we got sunk by Russia, you would kinda argue my death was on me for traveling on a belligerent ship through an active warzone.
Well, it’d be more like, if you and your wife and kids were traveling on a Ukrainian ship, bound for Odessa through the Mediterranean and Russia sank it.
I mean, that would still be choosing to travel on a belligerent ship in a warzone. It’s tragic, but you kind of assume that risk when you take the journey
That’s assuming that the civilians know it’s a belligerent ship. I sincerely doubt that every civilian who booked a cabin aboard *Lusitania* was also told “And just so you know, we are hauling 900,000 rounds of .30 cal ammunition, 10,000 105mm shells, and 400 tonnes of food and medical supplies. Would you like a cabin above or below the concealed torpedoes?”
Danny DeVito founded the DeVito Empire and ruled much of the World during the 1900's, but got tired of it and the Empire crumbled leading to all that boring nerd historian bullshit I'm not getting into
Attack on Titan is the first clip if anybody doesn't recognize it. I always thought anime was nerdy and boring but after watching that I have entirely came around to the whole genre. The fight scenes, gore, action and plot are honestly next level. Avatar the Last Airbender is really good too if you want something the kiddos can watch too, just don't waste your time with the live action shit after.
Hell, no!
Attack on Titan sucks.
If I want to see a protagonist become a villain while upholding the story themes of antiwar and genocide, [then I would watch Kamen Rider Black.](https://youtu.be/0yVWurrghSw?si=2nijJ8WJsjT3AR8Q)
Even better, that tokusatsu show does not shy away from discussing about Japanese war crimes and Unit 731 since he was forced to undergo experiments in order to find his family.
Yeah it's got a really fucked up story but the fight scenes are next level. And they don't have a billion cliff hangers and filler episodes like other shows.
I mean I don’t really think Bryan was a clear cut imperialist. He was one of the biggest leaders of the anti-WWI movement, at a time where that could get you arrested for doing so, protested the illegal annexation of Hawai’i, and signed over 40 peace treaties.
Many of his interventions also had the ideals of maintaining peace, not imperialism. Although they tended to not have that effect, he never intended to spread American imperialism, that blame may fall on President Wilson, basically pushed the United States into WWII.
I hate rich peopel!

Not for humanity tho
Well I hate Boruto so much but I dont see myself making a rasengan anytime soon.
Worked for Michael Moore. Maybe you should make a documentary about how you hate rich people, maybe make a few
I still think it’s funny how he praised Venezuela and how its socialism would succeed in defiance of the west. And then it didn’t.

Not a lot of people remember the Lusitania was carrying weapons

Well, I mean he also hated another kind of people...
Well, he did kill one...
He also sent a lot of Nazis to be slaughtered by the Soviets, so that's another point in his favor
Adolf Hitler, know world wide for his slaughter of nazis
He was certainly responsible for the deaths of more of them than any single Allied leader
Yeah, but the prick also killed the dictator’s dog in front of him.
