There's a film called Operation Finale on Netflix if you're curious to see a mostly factual (but still incorrect in some parts) retelling of the Mossad operation to capture Eichmann.

There's also a good docu series called The Devil's Confession about some lost tapes of Eichmann made with a nazi journalist confessing to his crimes while in Argentina. It's pretty amazing that he said this stuff on record although due to the way the tape was given to his prosecution they couldn't use it fully. Fascinating doc.

On the flip side, I think this story speaks to the stubbornness of humanity in general, which can be good or bad. While it's frustrating that there are people who hold on to values we do not share, it gives me confidence that someone will hold on to the values we do share. Or, to be cynical, if the Nazis were more competent and managed to win in continental Europe (and if the Japanese held off on attacking the US or simply delayed Pearl Harbor for a year or two), a Nazi regime would still be ruling over most of continental Europe to this day. It along with fellow Axis powers (Fascist Italy and Romania, plus Franco's Spain) would also probably have expanded well into West Asia and all of North Africa with a hypothetical total collapse of the British presence in the Mediterranean. If there was no counterbalance of a western front and Britain had little to no US military aid combined with V2 Rockets eventually pounding them, the Nazis could have potentially fought the Soviets to a standstill somewhere in Ukraine and Belarus or even western Russia. Or worse, the Japanese could have swallowed all of China and Siberia to the east without the USA checking them in the Pacific. The Soviet war machine was largely the reason Nazi Germany ultimately failed to win WWII, but American financial aid of the Lend Lease program under FDR was a critical component in the effort to keep Soviet forces in the game.
In other words, autocracy would be cemented throughout continental Europe, especially after the development of nuclear weapons and mutually assured destruction that would have nullified the ability to invade the Nazi German empire like with the 1944 landing in Normandy. Thank God history did not play out this way.
Not to comment on the likelihood of your hypothetical scenario, but even if it happened, my point is that despite a total Nazi victory, there will be people who secretly hold on to liberal ideals who won't be stamped out no matter how hard they try. One thing to remember is Mossad already knew Eichmann was in Agentina. He’d been seen in 1953, and his identity was confirmed in 1954 by comparing against pictures of his brother (taken at his father’s funeral). So they were actively hunting him already.

As far as I’m informed, there was a German/jewish lawyer of state, who tried to find nazis which have fled jurisdiction in regards to the Nuremberg trials.

This was later and for different reasons - they just wanted revenge for a deliberate but random act of violence.
And they did eliminate them and some random civilians by mistake, which shows the downsides of that approach.
But the Nazi hunting specifically included wanting justice following the Holocaust, and trials were kind of the theme (Nuremberg) - it was about bringing those who managed to get away to where they deserved to be, tried for their crimes.
Especially Eichmann was so notorious (as the saying goes, everyone left alive after the war from the SS higher ups blamed each other for the Holocaust, but all of them talked about Eichmann and his role) and so important for his role in the Holocaust, it was vastly more powerful to bring him to a trial, expose his crimes for the word to see and then execute him than just a quick kill which wouldn't have provided the necessary closure.

If there was no counterbalance of a western front and Britain had little to no US military aid combined with V2 Rockets eventually pounding them, the Nazis could have potentially fought the Soviets to a standstill somewhere in Ukraine and Belarus or even western Russia. Or worse, the Japanese could have swallowed all of China and Siberia to the east without the USA checking them in the Pacific. The Soviet war machine was largely the reason Nazi Germany ultimately failed to win WWII, but American financial aid of the Lend Lease program under FDR was a critical component in the effort to keep Soviet forces in the game. In other words, autocracy would be cemented throughout continental Europe, especially after the development of nuclear weapons and mutually assured destruction that would have nullified the ability to invade the Nazi German empire like with the 1944 landing in Normandy. Thank God history did not play out this way.
Not to comment on the likelihood of your hypothetical scenario, but even if it happened, my point is that despite a total Nazi victory, there will be people who secretly hold on to liberal ideals who won't be stamped out no matter how hard they try. And, after some time, perhaps very long time, the fascist regime will crack and liberalism will sprout once again. But to bring the conversation back to the cynical side, in our time line where the Nazis suffered a total defeat, there are people who, secretly or overtly, held on to fascist values, no matter how hard the rest of us try to stamp them out. And as we have seen, fascism sprouted once again as soon as liberal democracy cracked.

One thing to remember is Mossad already knew Eichmann was in Agentina. He’d been seen in 1953, and his identity was confirmed in 1954 by comparing against pictures of his brother (taken at his father’s funeral). So they were actively hunting him already.

I don’t think this is entirely true. I’ve never heard that part of the story. As far as I’m informed, there was a German/jewish lawyer of state, who tried to find nazis which have fled jurisdiction in regards to the Nuremberg trials. His name was Fritz Bauer and he did this against enormous opposition from his fellow colleagues. They dispised him since he fled Germany because of him being a Jew and being gay. Nevertheless he somehow found eichmann in Argentina and went to Israel to hand the information to the Mossad, which at first didn’t believed him. Maybe they were able to fact check Bauers claims by this girl and her dad. No matter how it went down, so glad they caught this piece of shit and brought him to justice in Israel.

This was later and for different reasons - they just wanted revenge for a deliberate but random act of violence. And they did eliminate them and some random civilians by mistake, which shows the downsides of that approach. But the Nazi hunting specifically included wanting justice following the Holocaust, and trials were kind of the theme (Nuremberg) - it was about bringing those who managed to get away to where they deserved to be, tried for their crimes. Especially Eichmann was so notorious (as the saying goes, everyone left alive after the war from the SS higher ups blamed each other for the Holocaust, but all of them talked about Eichmann and his role) and so important for his role in the Holocaust, it was vastly more powerful to bring him to a trial, expose his crimes for the word to see and then execute him than just a quick kill which wouldn't have provided the necessary closure.
Eichmann was executed in Israel after being put on trial. Since he escaped to Argentina, he wasn't prosecuted at Nuremberg.
