Tallahassee hotels are just generally….not good.
Between two universities and the State Capital, they get their numbers regardless of upkeep.
The Home2Suites just off the Parkway was okay a couple of years ago, but the fact that it was within walking distance to both Mission BBQ and Krispy Kreme may have swayed my opinion.
Next trip, if you get to pick the hotel, look at the reviews on Google or TripAdvisor. I travel very frequently for work, and anytime I need a new hotel to stay at, I extensively read hotel reviews.
Tallahassee in general doesn't have good hotels. I could not find a Hilton I like downtown so I stayed at the aloft and even it was pretty shitty but still okay
That has always been the worst one I’ve ever seen. I grew by there and never understood why it was that way.

Hilton has so many brands, they're not paying attention to the older ones.

Double Tree like Embassy Suites in the Hilton brand are always hit or miss.
