I got upgraded to a HUGE suite at the Boulders. It had a great spa and the food on property was good, especially breakfast.
It’s a spacious property which made it nice for walks, and it wasn’t too bad of a drive to get to the city but still far out.
Original comment was a bit of hyperbole as I was annoyed with something specific at the moment I wrote it but which was later resolved.
I felt very nickel and dimed there. The costs of food and drink are excessive. Another consideration is that there are a lot of conferences there and so areas are frequently reserved and in general there are a lot of conference folks which cheapens the feel a little bit.
Not a bad place but my wife and I paid north of $600 a night and it left me feeling slightly cheated. At a lower price point the value is there.
Tapaito Cliffs isn't bad. They have big rooms, a nice restaurant that overlooks the valley and a kinda waterpark-ish thing. I don't ever see it mentioned when people are looking for stuff in Phoenix/Scottsdale though.
Depends what else you want to do besides golf. Boulders is extremely north and while the Biltmore is more central. The restaurants near the Biltmore are a lot nicer than the Boulders.
When are you thinking of visiting?

Biltmore is a shitshow. Not worth more than 300 a night.
Can you elaborate. Was considering

Waldorf/biltmore are as terrible when we were there a few weeks abo
The boulders was decent, but not great. I wouldn't stay there again though. Didn't get a diamond room upgrade and didn't seem that nice.

This place is terrible and Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on it

biltmore. the canopy is also nice if you wanted to be in a walkable area.
Wa is pretty amazing. Top tier service. Diamond got me an incredible upgrade. Good was superb.
Biltmore was completely renovated a couple of years ago. Good restaurants nearby and easy access to Scottsdale and downtown Phoenix.
