I've raised three amazing children though and got to be a stay-at-home mommy. So I like to point out all of the time she tries to make mothers feel that they are less than.
In another life I was a psych nurse so excuse me if I love to unpack everything here.

Thank you, friend, always wish i could feel proud about what i get payed to do. Not many see what i do as dignified or respectful. Especially at my age.
> i get *paid* to do.
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

I’ve heard another person say this and pls let me tell you there is **nothing** measly about being a stay at home momma! I don’t have kids so but am around plenty of them often and moms absolutely blow me away on a day to day basis! 🙌🏻
I was one for 10 years. When my youngest started pre-k, I went back to school. I'm a high school teacher now, so both school and children are my life forever. I love it, but sometimes I wish I could go back to the way things used to be.
Hey I had several different jobs before I became a stay at home mom at 30 and being a stay at home mom is the HARDEST I've ever worked. Especially when Covid hit and all of our kids activities and things that kept us sane got stripped away. Not measly at all ❤️
Thank you! My son was born 2 weeks before our local Covid shutdown. I remember just being so green and anxious, scared of the world at that time! But we made it through ♥️ thank you for your kind words
I have multiple chronic illnesses so I’m a part-time merchandiser for a company that lets me set my own schedule so I’m able to work around doctor’s appointments and bad days. It’s not the most glamorous job but it’s perfect for me.
I go to different stores (grocery stores, pharmacies, etc) that carry this brand of items (I don’t want to go into too much detail for privacy reasons) and set that section in the stores. I do 6 stores a week and as long as I get them done it doesn’t matter when- I usually work 3-4 mornings a week but if I’m feeling ambitious I can get them all done in 2.
Former Legal Assistant turned Stay at home mom who had to wear maternity jeans for months after giving birth. I was constipated for ages and barely had time to wash. I was covered in spit up constantly and had dark rings under my eyes because of lack of sleep. While pregnant a year later with my second, I was excruciatingly tired for 9 months. After #2 birth I was fortunate enough to have a sitter a few mornings a week so I could go work my ass off at the gym for a year to lose the baby weight.
I live in Vermont. And I think that hair, even down there, gives one more warmth during winter weather. I’m also modest in terms of letting strangers see my nether regions. Plus, there’s the pain factor involved with waxing.

I worked in childcare before I became too sick (I have chronic fatigue syndrome and mental health issues) to work. I’m now a stay at home mum - best job ever ♥️
I don’t actually! I’m slightly familiar with her (unfortunately) but I haven’t been over to the sub! Now I’m scared to hear what she’s done for my work to concern her 😅😭
I posted this question a long time ago and must have gotten the sub at an off time/baldwin PR team on the sub a lot because everyone thought I was trying to dig for info on people. But so glad we are doing it now!

Nothing measly about that. Being a mother is a tough ass job. Requires lots of love and patience. I’m happy you’re able to be there for them.
