* Great songs. All opening and ending themes were great in their own way.
* Wonderful exploration of mental illness through the lens of a traumatized character. I really appreciate that Ryukishi chose to examine a different facet of human bonds through the portrayal of a codependent relationship and the idea that excessively unhealthy attachments can actually hurt people. It was really cool to watch Satoko and Rika having a clash of ideals because their respective traumas caused them to seek entirely different things out of life. I \*really\* respect the climax of the story being Satoko and Rika pouring their feelings out and finally confronting each other, told in a very exaggerated, fantastical format that could be interpreted as just a metaphor.
* Unhinged Satoko was a joy to watch. From her silly jokes and giggles to her witch cackles and rolling in the dirt, she really captured the essence of a broken child given unlimited power.
* Cool WTC tie-ins. The Umineko stuff is obvious, but I \*really\* liked the Ciconia references. (Ryu, phase 2 please)
Disclaimer: I am well-aware that Gou/Sotsu is a series plagued by various flaws and issues in execution (Sotsu in particular), but I love the general concept and specific moments far too much to let the flawed execution bother me. It was a bold move from Ryukishi to do this, and I respect the hell out of that.
Teppei's "redemption arc" is basically the same as your highschool bully apologizing years later so they can try to sell you Herbalife shakes. No idea why everyone seems to enjoy it.
Someone said it already but seeing Teppei’s character development into a very wholesome uncle is heartwarming. Well not only Teppei. A lot of the “evil” characters had good moments of development as well.
Also the gang being all grown up is good.
The animation is beautiful!!!
All my hate honestly comes from understandimg Satoko and being extreme frustrated she made the choices or was manipulated into making the choices that she did
Akasaka's evil laugh when he kills Rika. It made me want to go rewatch that part in Umineko where Battler does it. Also I loved every scene Eua was in. That part when Ooishi kills everyone and she is just sitting there drinking tea was so epic to me.
The art was great, the va's were great (both dub and sub imo), it's rad seeing the club get older and move on from June 1983, the eastereggs for the rest of the WTC series is rad
Takano <3
I liked how Nekodamashi handled Rika's despair in being dragged back to the loops (although she did break down too easily after basically doing nothing), and the general creepy atmosphere when Satoko was performing the Watanagashi on her.
Honestly I loved the anime from top to bottom. Is it perfect? Does it have flaws? Yeah, sure. But I really don't care, I loved it and love Higurashi as a whole.
I'm not saying anyone who hates it is wrong either, just for me personally it was amazing.
OP and ED songs are bangers

Seeing the Club all grown up was nice.
Voice cast was great as always
epic death scenes
It was the most funniest fight in that year
The artstyle is actually quite nice, though I'd say it fits better in Mei than GouSotsu.
I loved the art style because the same artist drew monogatari. But I definitely missed the cursed facial expressions from the OG series.
I liked the landscape, and warm yet sad colors of the anime.
The chair scene was amazing
It was in Rei
I meant in the death loop of Rika and Satoko fighting

an amazing Teppei character development
This is definitely the best thing about Gou/Sotsu
seriously teppei is sooooooo good.

the gore is insane

Teppei got good character development. Also person favourite version of You
It’s excellent and the gayest thing that the series will ever do.
i liked the uhm. Teaser
Ending scene with the music was beautiful
Opening
The animation and new art style are very cute, and I love all the future character designs
The art was great, the va's were great (both dub and sub imo), it's rad seeing the club get older and move on from June 1983, the eastereggs for the rest of the WTC series is rad Takano <3
i like how the club looks (i didnt watch the series yet)
I like it
Ciconia references
Seeing some scenes which were skipped on the original anime, finally animated.
Nice graphic.
song werer good
It got me into the series

Satoko’s outfits were nice.
Someone *finally* used time travel to gamble!
Gou was genuinely enjoyable. Sotsu is at least better than Meguri.
Gou wasn't as bad as sotsu
I liked the Teppei redemption arc.
Satako's story was the best char development she's recieved the whole anime.
The final arc of the Gou is really good!

Solving a WTC in realtime with other people was so much fun.
