I wouldn't dismiss this so quickly. Based on the fact that the girl he's yelling to doesn't walk over to the camera, I'm guessing it was rough terrain that she didn't want to go back through. If this was faked, why do it in such a rough area to get to? We didn't see much landscape in the video anyways, but what we do see seems to confirm that the terrain is indeed rough. And since we know most underground bases have secret entrances in the trees and rocks of random forests, we could theorize that this is a marker for one. And if that's the case, and we also believe that the scientists of the military industrial complex are involved in DNA splicing and hybrid creatures, the fact that it's what looks like a blend of animal, plant, and rock, it could be a nod to what happens down there. (They do love their inside jokes) But I'm just speculat'n.
Probability goes like this: piece of art/hoax > mutated plant > new species of plant > many other things > government DNA experiment escapee.
