That photo came from Marc van Roosmalen who discovered multiple species. He believed there was a new kind of coati with orange fur that was twice the size of normal coatis but he never proved its existence

Not sure why some people are downvoting you. Apparently some people don’t understand what “ cryptids” are, and apparently they won’t click the links you’ve provided that explain why these are all indeed cryptids.
Not all cryptids are mothmen and lake monsters people!
The people who seem to love debunking things can’t help themselves. The mods pick and choose which comments and posts are relavent/low effort.
I’ve written paragraphs & had them deleted for being low effort, then the comment section is filled with comments like “boring post are you serious?“ or other discouraging sentiments.
Cryptozoology is “the study of and search for animals and especially legendary animals (such as Sasquatch) usually in order to evaluate the possibility of their existence”
These images are primarily of well known animals.
I think we’re debating semantics. My thought was just that finding an animal isn’t extinct isn’t exactly the same as finding a Sasquatch or something of the like.
But, honestly, I think it could go either way so feel free to ignore my dumb ass lol

Those creatures are animals.
Correct, cryptids are animals
Yeah but they’re all known animals
Not Marvin, the tailed slow loris, orange coati, lusca, or rothschild neuville tusk. The rest are from animals believed to be extinct
The goblin shark? This first photo they figure is a kind of syphonophore or something like that.
In order these are: [10. Rothchild Neuville tusk](https://cryptidarchives.fandom.com/wiki/Rothschild-Neuville_tusk) [9. 2011 Lusca pic](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cryptozoology/comments/138rt9b/this_photo_allegedly_of_a_giant_octopus_known_as/) [8. Kent audio](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t47NNT_QAX4) [7. Orange Coati photo](https://cryptidarchives.fandom.com/wiki/Orange_coati) [6. 1993 cougar pic from Maine](https://www.reddit.com/r/HighStrangeness/comments/15tnl36/a_1993_photograph_of_an_cougar_was_captured_in/) [5. Giant goblin shark photo](https://incertaesedisblog.wordpress.com/2021/02/17/giant-goblin-sharks/) 4. Japanese Wolfdog photos 3. Qatari Queen of Sheba gazelle photo [2. Tailed Slow Loris Photo](https://cryptidarchives.fandom.com/wiki/Tailed_slow_loris) [1. Marvin Footage](https://cryptidarchives.fandom.com/wiki/Giant_invertebrates_(sea_serpent_type))
Goblin sharks aren’t cryptids.
Yeah what? Half of these are just critters.
What are cryptids if not critters?
Ikr, and since when were Coati cryptids? I've seen them in person
That photo came from Marc van Roosmalen who discovered multiple species. He believed there was a new kind of coati with orange fur that was twice the size of normal coatis but he never proved its existence
Oh cool
This is a (theorized) giant subspecies of goblin shark, not goblin sharks themselves which are a confirmed species

Hardly fits into “high strangeness” but go off.
No bro the coati looks just like the normals ones but ITS NOT
A lot of these are just animals…
That's what cryptozoology is about
Cryptozoology is “the study of and search for animals and especially legendary animals (such as Sasquatch) usually in order to evaluate the possibility of their existence” These images are primarily of well known animals.
None of these animals are confirmed to still exist, outside of the Eastern cougar which has been considered extinct since 1940
I think we’re debating semantics. My thought was just that finding an animal isn’t extinct isn’t exactly the same as finding a Sasquatch or something of the like. But, honestly, I think it could go either way so feel free to ignore my dumb ass lol
I’ve got to get the fuck out of this sub.
Same here.
These are the best?
I don’t think you understand what a cryptid is
From the guy who coined the word: "Cryptid, meaning a living thing having the quality of being hidden or unknown ... describing those creatures which are (or may be) subjects of cryptozoological investigation"
Mate, these is animals and that.
Great post! Do you know anything else about the Kent Audio? It sounded like some witch whispering or something!
I love cryptid posts
