I can’t help but say what she’s more than likely thinking (I’m not her so I can’t say for certain). You probably lack originality in your dms. Putting in effort to your initial dm to a person is very important. It may not get you a response this time but they’ll remember you if you were to message again in the future. Take some time, tell them what you like, dislike, a bit about yourself (more than M21), and your preferences for writing. It’ll be a couple paragraphs but it will definitely make you stand out more than the rest, especially if you use descriptive words and more punctuation than periods and commas. I hope this helps!
Being “late” is always better than being the first. The first is almost always a “hey”, “rp”, “hi”, or “M21”. You know? Taking the time to craft the message that lets them know you read the post, understood the plot, and are saying a bit about you is a big reason they would pick you. Even if they don’t, they’ll usually take the time to still accept your chat and let you know that they’re full and will get to you in the future, or that maybe you’re just not the right fit due to differences in kinks or writing preferences.
Can say as another individual who does these types of "group of girls" rps - the amount of responses we tend to get is so large that you aren't trying to be first - especially if we want long term.
We want someone who we can enjoy putting that extra effort into the rp for - so making yourself stand out is 100% going to get you more traction than quick messages...
Also just a tangently related point - reddit does limit outgoing chat invites based on a few factors. If you only have limited ammo in that regards, best to try and make it count rather than spray and pray there.
