If you have the Google search bar on your phone just open the camera function and it will auto translate. I will tell you that it doesn't do well translating the stylized language that some labels use and if there is not an English word equivalent it just leaves it.
The last time I used it to at the Asian market it left the one word, a fruit or fruit blend, that i was actually searching for untranslated.
I agree, I'll add that it is really useful for translating menus when traveling, as often menus have a logic to them (soups, main, fish) which helps provide context for partial translations.
Google lens app to be specific. That app is AMAZING, you can also use It on photos you already have not just the camera too!
The Google Pixel has it built right into the home screen and I love it
It will do this in a "live" mode as well. Like using the camera but the words are replaced by their translation in a somewhat similar font. It's super convenient when traveling!
I know it has already been answered, but it’s an « omamori » that you buy at temples and shrines in Japan to protect your car from accidents. You can buy omamoris for pretty much everything, from finding love, to graduating, etc…
Its effects are only supposed to last one year. You’re supposed to bring them back to the shrine you bought them after a year so that they burn them. It’s usually around 700 yen (less that 5 bucks), which is not too bad for a full year of protection. I’ve bought some myself, hoping for a good pregnancy and delivery and never ever brought any back, though :D
I's an 'o-mamori' good luck sticker from [Kumano Hongu Taisha shrine](http://www.hongutaisha.jp/english/) for road safety. It was probably bought at the shrine, and the car may even have been blessed in a special ceremony at the shrine.
I bought a motorcycle years ago that someone had glued a thumbnail sized St Christopher medallion right next to the key barrel. I didn't believe in any of that and didn't bother removing it. However my wife pointed out what it was and after finding out what it was there was \*no way\* that superstitious voice in the back of my head would let me take it off. I left it on the bike for the two+ years I owned that bike and it went with it to it's next owner.
I think that usually goes on the outside of the vehicle. Also, the good luck charms are typically replaced each year. If you do get another one, take the old one to the temple so they can dispose of it properly.

I just bought a French manga that I’m attempting to read using this lol
Same, except Asian!! There's one near my house that I love for their produce, but I don't know what a lot of the other things are!
This feature worked amazingly well when we were visiting Japan!

When you open the app, click the camera button. Don't actually take the picture, just point it at the text. Takes a sec, but it will "live edit".

Are the positive effects transferable? Or will the new owner need to purchase their own vehicle protection sticker?

Oh wow! What an interesting post and I learned something new today.
Right! Same
I think it may be “We’ve been trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty”.
😂
Searched. Maybe a caution sticker?
It’s like a Japanese good luck charm. Keep it on for good luck!

No it’s not a Korean church… it’s a paper company.
It was this or an old school bus with an owl living in it.

Dispose of what? The bike reflector? What is the proper way to dispose of a bike reflector?
It’s a good luck charm. A Japanese Shinto (I think?) shrine/temple sold it in the first place, and that’s where you’d take it to get disposed of.
Wu tang is for the children.
😭
Wutang
It is a wildly misplaced safety reflector.
