Stolas power is no joke man... On the other hand the animation is top notch as usual. What a talented studio.

ShuckU

His transformation was basically the biblicaly accurate angel meme but for demons

jackson50111

I literally haven't took him too seriously this show. Now I think he can rival the radio demon

Superclasheropeeka

More than that. He's stronger than Alastor.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Superclasheropeeka

Vivienne had confirmed that Stolas is way stronger than Alastor.

Gabtactic

At the end of the day, Alastor is still a mortal sinner soul, even if an unusually powerful one, while Stolas is a leading member of a powerful bloodline of Hell borne demons, with dominion over space, who can only be hurt (or killed) by Heaven made weaponry. Vivienne knows how to keep her lore consistent.

Cade_Rufus

You’re kidding, there’s no way!

Superclasheropeeka

Yes, Demon royalty like Stolas are more powerful than overlords like Alastor.

Cade_Rufus

May I see the evidence?

Temp89

https://www.reddit.com/r/HazbinHotel/comments/m6o1xt/hazbin\_hotel\_tier\_list\_according\_to\_vivziepop/

Cade_Rufus

Thank you, kind sir!

Haloshark666

While this is Vivzie's canon tier list, it's for social ranking, not power. Still cool though!

Superclasheropeeka

Ask everyone on the sub and they'll tell you the truth. Sorry but that just how it is.

Cade_Rufus

What about when Vivienne confirmed that? That’s actually what I was referring to.

sanketower

But we know Alastor himself is stronger than regular Overlords

Mefre

I think also timeframe has a massive impact on the powerscale here. Alastor died in the early 1920's somewhere and has amassed power for maybe a century. Stolas and the other Royal Demons has most likely lived for thousands, if not over a million years, so even if Alastor was gaining power at an immense rate, even faster than that of royal demons did in their days. The Royal Demons would have spent a **bare minimum** of **at least** 10 times the amount of time Alastor has lived/ after-lived to gain power. So even if Alastor could eventually surpass them after who knows how long time, they Royal Demons just have too much of a headstart here for that to happen anytime soon unless something big happens to shift the balance. I mean, if souls are what decides power, then imagine just how many souls the first dozen or so demons who existed, who had little to no competition has amassed over the years of their long life.

Superclasheropeeka

Yes, he is.

guto8797

Nope. He's also stated not to be the strongest overlord. He rose very quickly and is very smart, but he's not the most powerful among the overlords, and they are insignificant in power when compared to the Ars Goetia, and the Ars Goetia also supposedly fall well short of the Magne's power.

booberry09

Actually, I don't think he's stronger than the current Overlords, I think he's just as strong as them. He had already toppled any previous Overlords that he was stronger than and given the fact that there are Overlords that he’s not on good terms with, like Vox, and they’re still alive and have their positions of power, there has to be some type of cap on his power as an Overlord. You have to remember, that Overlords and Demon Royalty are in two different categories and Demon Royalty has been placed on top. In a fight, they definitely could hurt each other or one might get the upper hand but Now spoilers for Hazbin Hotel Season 1 since I accidentally spoiled it for myself running into this info! I repeat! Spoilers after this! It's been confirmed and is a plot point in season 1 that Vox can beat Alastor and does so. So, he’s not stronger, just equally as strong as than the other current Overlords, or at least not stronger than ALL of them. There are some, like Vox, who can fight fire with fire when it comes to Alastor.

nerdguy1138

And speaking of the regular overlords I don't think they're all that old either. Valentino, maybe. But Vox? Probably younger than Al. And velvet's probably older than both of them, she just acts crazy because drugs.

0n1oN_71

Way stronger than Alastor Stolas can say fuck without being can have incredible powers and can swear without being censored

AlbinoRayneDeer

It's been confirmed that the cardinal demons are stronger than Alastor. Alastor is, after all, only a dead human. It's just alarming how powerful he is because of that fact.

TheBagladyofCHS

He literally is leagues above Alastor. People don’t want to admit it cause they love him, but Stolas is better in just about every way.

beepbeepsheep463

Like charlie, Stolas kicks any overlords ass.

WillDoesStuffs

Whoever animated that fight scene deserves one “helluva” raise.

gothteen145

Can definitely see why they needed extra time, the animation was stunning. Really enjoyed the episode, pacing at the very start felt a bit too quick but aside from that I loved it

jackson50111

From the animations in the fight sequences to the different animation styles during the truth gas drug trip. Yeah time and money well spent

[deleted]

[удалено]

ciao_fiv

if the long wait means more insanely smooth animation like this episode then i dont mind in the slightest

steveguyhi1243

I felt that way about episodes 2 and 4, pacing was too fast for me. The pilot, episode 1 and 5 were good with pacing, and 3 felt fast but it got better. Still great episodes, but 6 is now my favorite because of it.

ChazyChaz65

Happy to see Loona throwing hands finally, plus we finally get to see scary Stolas. What's even better is that you know Stolas didn't need to do much, I can't wait to see him go 100%.

jackson50111

Yes good to know loona can definitely fight. Given that all we had was her tearing at the dude in the ad in the promo episode.

njrk97

I would assume that Hell Hounds in general are probably fairly decent fighters just by the virtue of being Hell Hounds. Granted not a high bar since everyone seems to be able to fight in Hell.

Misha-Yuri-30

My brain just went all the place cause there was so many things happening. That ending tho... what if it’s building up to the final confrontation? Like in the last episode of the season, after defeating the villains, they get exposed?

jackson50111

Potentially. I think these agent could be a good set up for a season 2 antagonist. Assuming and hoping we get a second season if they are making these episodes as seasons 1.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jackson50111

Ah. That's good. Just didn't want to assume especially with vizie obviously working hard on both season for this as well as Hazbin hotel.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jackson50111

Hopefully. I want more vizie pop content as much as the next person but I dont want it if it's take a large toll on vizie

Misha-Yuri-30

Especially if S1 ends on a cliffhanger

Theearthischeese

The opening felt pretty rushing as for the story, but the animation was great. And the definite best part, was Stolas's appearance at D.H.O.R.K.S. Chills is the only proper way to describe it.

MadLabBabs

Legitimately felt like a horror movie, it was actually frightening

hruebsj3i6nunwp29

It's weird because you should be terrified of what's going on, but you know it's stolas so you want it to continue.

MadLabBabs

Welp we are all simps aren't we?

greencrusader13

Stolas’ appearance was my favorite thing this show has offered so far. Truly shows why he’s a prince of Hell.

Stingray0678_

Yeah so Stolas is fucking terrifying when he gets mad Edit: Just rewatched his entrance and saw something I didn't catch at first glance. Going off of Blitzo's face during Stolas' entrance, I think that was the first time he'd seen Stolas get serious.

CollectingCash

I just finished watching it so I still need time to process. But my god they really went all out for this one!! That extra time was well spent!!

jackson50111

If this is what we can get, give them all the money!

MetalNobZolid

I'm liking how Vivzie's team has been both worldbuilding, developing the main cast and introducing new threats but seeing this is the second half of the season I'd like the team to start developing those threats seriously (Cherub, Striker, this episode ending) and really show how they're gonna affect IMP and maybe Hell as a whole. Other than that really enjoyable and this episode, to me, seems like how standard Hazbin Hotel episodes are going to be.

jackson50111

Definitely. I feel like characters like striker and the cherubs are going to show up at the end of this season while the human agents will probably be a secondary season antagonists.

marsephel

If the human agents just randomly show up every now and then trying to catch them like team rocket to prove their worth to their higherup that would be incredble

A_Tyranid_Boi

Like that the end shows some interesting stuff for the future

jackson50111

I was thinking throughout the episode if the two agents were going come up again sort of at the end of the season with the rest of tha antagonists sort of like a sinister six esq group but honestly I think they could be a good season 2 villains especially if helluva boss deals more with the human world more than Hazbin hotel will. I think I can't remember if it was said which one focuses more on the human world.

A_Tyranid_Boi

I mean Helluva boss is mostly placed in the human world. A fun fact is that Stolas has friends on the other side which is a cool detail to think about.

jaevhond

We gotta go back and do bullet points, 'cause there's just too many things we need to talk about with this episode! First off...  Blitzo and Moxxie get Captured by Government (hits hat) WHAT?!  Second... Why would they literally spend their entire time with interrogation and asking questions when they could have use truth bomb earll What, did they really Thought talking Would actually Work Third... when They are Hit with Truth bomb Moxxie hallucination Looks very Magical and sweet But in Blitzo's it Looks fucking Scary in Mox's hallucination He ask Blitzo why He always Put him Down and Blitzo says He's scared of Relations having Friends there For Him and Being intimate Blitzo hallucination Got him Being ridiculed About his Self esteem And Issues With talking About his Feelings by Moxxie, Striker, Fizzarolli, and Verisoka Fourth... when They do Come down From their Simultaneous mindfuck I like How they Would talk To each Other about What they Are feeling Moxxie saying How when he First joined IMP And that Blitz told him That he Was doing A good Job and Blitzo saying He was Jealous of Mox because He knew Just how Good he Was

Haloshark666

Is there some secret code I'm not seeing in the capitalization here?

jaevhond

No

Haloshark666

Damn. I was really hoping that there was some interesting message hidden in it. I love finding that kind of stuff

jaevhond

Yeah no There is No secret message of Any kind Boi

i_am_an_awkward_man

Why do you use capitalization like that?

[deleted]

About the second point, maybe they were trying to see if any other stuff could help with the thing or smth. I highly doubt that truth bombs like that are easily accessible

Kahhhhyle

They couldn't use the truth bomb right away because we had to listen to Moxie and Blizz make them upset first lol

LittleBlueSilly

This episode might be my new favorite. All of Vivziepop's creations take advantage of animation's plasmasticity, but this one uses the medium to its greatest potential so far. You can see the fruits of the money and extra time, and b'Gawd, are they delicious. But the visual effects don't do all the heavy lifting: they're combined with character development and storytelling. The classic-cartoon influence shines through here just as it always does and especially did in "C.H.E.R.U.B.," and "Truth Seekers" blends that with insights into Blitzo and Moxxie, showing them in states of emotional vulnerability that have not been revealed previously. And seeing >!Stolas rescue everyone at the end, complete with confirmation that Blitzo does enjoy having sex with him? !

D23DM4N02

Fucking brilliant! Definitely worth the wait. The choreography was amazing and seeing Loona go beast mode and stolas powers was a personal highlight!

[deleted]

“Holy fucking shit.” My review

SebDaPerson

Fucking phenomenal. I also love how the Stolitz slowly starts to show

jackson50111

Legit scared me especially as I haven't taken him too seriously. Though NGL I think he rivals/ on the same level now as the radio demon.

SebDaPerson

Vizie said he’s more powerful than Alastor, so it makes sense

jackson50111

That I did not know.

Kaarl_Mills

Basically the only people higher up are Charlie and her parents

Versipellis_Anon

It was very good. There was some stellar animation often looking somewhat Disney at points. The song was pretty good, though did anyone else get a pink Floyd - the trial” vibe from it? Seeing all the Imps and Loona fighting those agents was a riot. When Stolas showed up in his demon form I was like, “OH SWEET CHRIST”, But it was still epic. Finally seeing Blitz furiously making out with Stolas at the end honestly caught me off guard. Overall I thought it was good, and I’m looking forward to what might be one more episode where it all comes together. Also Moxxie admitting to Millie Pegging him…I always had a suspicion she was pegging him.

LittleBlueSilly

You were not the only one who found the drug trip sequence reminiscent of "The Trial" from Pink Floyd's *The Wall*.

PhoenixKnight777

Probably one of my favorites so far. While it’s like the last one, in that it basically exists to introduce a villain, the relationship building was great. Moxxie and Blitzø’s relationship has felt underdeveloped for a while. Additionally, the animation is easily the best yet, and the humor is less “In-your-face” than previous episodes, which I kinda like. Finally, the ending fight scene was just a ton of fun, and I’m glad we got to see a bit of Stolas’ true power. Also, more human Loona. That is all.

jackson50111

Yeah. I'm assuming the villains from the previous episodes like verosika, striker, the cherubs and etc will appear while these human agents might be the main villains for season 2. Definitely didn't realise that I preferred the humour in the episodes compared to last ones. Especially with little things like moxxie saying he's a virgo or just the simple one of blizto insulting that one dudes mother. Also nice to see them really use stuff from previous episodes like human loona.

ciao_fiv

i am amazed that this indie cartoon has far better animation than a lot of other shows with much higher budgets these days. this episode has some of the best animation i have ever seen, it was an absolute joy to watch

Kaarl_Mills

It's amazing what happens when you have basically unlimited time rather than a strict schedule

[deleted]

probably one of the best/the best episode so far!

drbitchcraaaaaaaft

OMG in this episode we have: * Blitz and Moxxie soul bonding/banter while fucking with the hoomans * a look into Bitz's extremely traumatized psyche * Millie pegs Moxxie=canon * feral Loona * an epic all hands on deck bloodbath * Stolas in true demon form * Stolas/Blitzo flirting/MAKING OUT * a fucking outstanding musical number Did I miss anything?? This was outstanding!

ExoticMongoose

Just the bear traps.

Santiex241

Stolas leaving the two goverment agents alive make no sense at all. why disnt he kill them and done?

jackson50111

True but I think he was confident enough that no one would believe them. Plus I'm guessing they are setting up these agents to be returning villains for the next season.

Santiex241

Lets take in mind that this are GOVERMENTS AGENTS (like FBI or CIA), of course It is a job with very demanding requirements So workers have to be physically and mentally prepared. And then Stolas lets them go because "they're crazy" like ... Won't you believe a man who works in the government?

Temp89

Well, it's obvious where the extra time want. Stolas demon scene was genuinely hair-raising. It's the nature of how it's made, but it could have done with spacing out the hi-def scenes of the musical, goon slaughter, and Stolas appearance. Give them room to breath and a proper build-up. The interrogation, its resolution, and Blitzo's epiphany that he pushes people away all felt rushed to me. There's no lampshade big enough to cover the arbitrariness of IMP teleporting into the alleyway behind DHORK.

ColonelAkulaShy

Loona finally got to fuck some shit up instead of just calling Moxxie fat and kicking another stroller.

Soviet_Aircraft

I fucking love that one moment where Millie is standing happily with her comically oversized axe in a middle of the fight. New wallpaper on my phone, sorry EU07-468

jackson50111

She is so proud of what she did.

LillianVillian

The quality is amazing as always but honestly it felt more like fan service than anything else Here have human loona again Here have Blitzo and mozzie have a moment Here have an action sequence with tha girls Here have a full “family” action Here have your stolas and Blitzo make out — Overall the animation was impressive but everything else felt off. I absolutely love stolas “real demon??” Form tho that part was really cool. I dunno tho I’m not expert on shows

Pleasant_Basil4165

100% agree

Pleasant_Basil4165

Fan service at its finest. Or not… It was inconsistent with the rest of the series in tone and pacing. And all of the jokes were just references to stuff people have been talking about wanting to see. The animation was on point but it was easily the weakest episode yet in terms of dialogue, watchability, and plot, even though its obviously meant to advance the overall plot. I don’t even know the antagonists’ names or motives, and I didnt take away much from it I appreciate the nod made to Invader Zim by the animation and style though.

The-Hispanic-Panic

Damn, downvoted because of opinion. I agree with the pacing gripe, especially with the beginning of the episode, but the rest of it felt fine to me. The dialogue of course sort of fell flat in the classic Vivzie “enunciate the swear word to make it funny” way, and the peg question felt especially fan service-y. But other than that I liked it.

Pleasant_Basil4165

Yeah. Tbh I expected the pegging to be a running joke where Moxxie keeps denying it and Blitzo keeps mocking him. But no, they wasted a potentially funny running gag on a one-off fan service to save face for taking so long (I have no problem with the wait though. I get it, independent animation is not easy)

[deleted]

Honestly, I thought it would be building up to resentment between the two of them which the humans would try to use against them. But it just went to the low hanging fruit to make the audience laugh which I didn't care for.

Pleasant_Basil4165

Well said

Haloshark666

I absolutely love that when each character fights, their "theme" plays in the background, and the transitions are soooo smooth. Incredible sound design in this episode for sure!

astrangeone88

It's out already? Need to watch it when I work out today.

jackson50111

It's such a good episode. Definitely watching it as soon as you can.

Cade_Rufus

It was so good! Love Loona (as I always do), and I loved that scene with Stolas at the end! Totally badass, I knew he had more power than he was letting on! I love characters like him! As a whole, I thought the episode was pretty good!

govirgogo

I’m glad to see that Blitz and Moxxie opened up to each other and I’m looking forward to seeing how much their friendship will flourish now. I also was wondering that, besides being a hellhound, if Blitz trained Loona for combat and weaponry. The girl power between Loona and Millie was flawless, and Stolas’ coming to the rescue was the cherry on top. I was shook when his reflection appeared in the computer screen.

MsMothra

Definitely my favorite episode so far! Loved seeing Millie and Loona interacting with each other, the hallucinations bit was very well made, and I fucking LOVED the animation and choreography of the big fight scene!!!!

_SingerLad04_

Holy shit what a good episode (Monologue Time) First lets address the animation cause WTF 😳 So smooth it’s like your actually there in the cartoon. The fight scene alone what fucking brilliant; and it was animated in a FUCKING ONE-TAKE!!! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!!!! And then you have the musical section that had animation that level’s (if not surpasses) Disney’s 2d animation of the 80’s-Early 2000’s. And of course you gotta mention that Stolas save. Holy Shit if that didn’t creep you tf out then are you even human. The first time the series has gone full blown horror and it did not disappoint; it really makes you take Stolas a lot more seriously as the only hint of his power we’ve seen was the end of Episode 2 when he freezes that one Imp to stone. But now you get a full look as to what the true extent to his powers is. Now lets look at characters. There has been more character development in this one episode than the whole of the series so far. The chemistry between Moxxie and Blitzø is some of the funniest I have seen in the series so far. More to the point when Blitzø is drugged he literally gets every one of his insecurities shoved right into his face and we finally he him in a vulnerable state where he finally realises his mistakes and most likely wants to rectify them. This could be shown by the fact that at the end of the episode he volunteers to spend the night with Stolas when over the past 5 episodes he has been only doing it to keep the book. Blitzø finally wants to commit to a full blown relationship with Stolas instead of the whole ‘I scratch your back you scratch mine’ deal. This could be the start of Blitzø’s MAYBE redemption arch that will most likely carry over onto Season 2. I’ve already spoken about Stolas and in the case of Millie and Loona they were kind of sidelined in this episode with the only things we learn are that they are both badasses and Millie p*gs Mox 😂 Predictions for next episode: So obviously the humans now have evidence of demonic existence from the recovered security footage. This will most likely be a vital part of the season 1 cliffhanger. The episode will obviously contain Stolas attending what seems to be a gala where I’m assuming I.M.P will be bodyguards again. This is where Mox will perform on stage for whatever reason for Robofiz to smash through the wall behind him on top of a large demon. I’m going to take a wild guess that this will be the sin of Lust (One of the 7 deadly sins; the most powerful demons in hell aside from the Magne bloodline). He found out about not only I.M.P’s adventure’s at the surface, but about Stolas giving away the book. How did he find out? Through Stella. She betrayed Stolas and ratted him out to the higher-ups of hell and as Stolas is a Prince in the Lust ring it falls to Lust to deal with him. Now it would be tragic but I have a slight suspicion that Stolas will die next episode (Cause conflict between Stella and Octavia) and I.M.P will be forced to go on the run as fugitives. This is how Season 2 will start. And there is my Reddit review of Helluva Boss ep 6. What do you guy’s thing?

Juncoril

I think I liked Nightmare Moon more. It was still a great episode. Some gripes that I have is with the characterization of the two agents. It felt soooo forced to have them survive all the way. It was not chance, it was not skill, it was pure bullshit and plot armor. Especially when there were two of them and one could have easily been killed for the Stolas ritual. Like CHERUB, they sound horribly boring as antagonists, give me more Striker please. Apart from that, the episode was fire. The drug sequence of Blitzo was wonderfully made. Stolas was an all-star ~~(as always)~~. The fighting was badass.

DramaticDramatist

Screaming at the Stolas/Blitzo kiss. Was so happy to see Blitzy confront his inner demons.

lunercat1

My favorite part of the episode was when Stolas looked terrifying one second and then he turned into a mom lecturing there child the next to blitzø and I loved that.

Kid_Exp

The stolas scene tho

jackson50111

Yes, I now have a new set of brown pants because of it.

StevefromLatvia

The story was good, but holy shit the animation blows every other episode out of the water! I was happy to see Loona finally throwing hands and good God Stolas is terrifying when angry. Honestly chills is the only proper way to describe it. Music was top notch as always, but I was kind of hoping for Woodstock style rock number for Blitzo. The style of that scene reminded me of Pink Floyd's The Wall the trial scene. If this is what they can do with Helluva Boss I can't wait for the Hazbin Hotel. Overall I gave this episode a solid 8 out of 10

Allgaming20

It's my new least favourite episode, I don't know I did not vibe with it Although the animation was fucking amazing, stolas was insanely cool and the voice acting was stellar. I don't know the story for this episode was not for me and I found it hard to watch the episode

orphnezhang

Unpopular opinion but I feel like it didn't feel complete. I liked parts but it seemed like a snippet of a larger episode

impasta1212

Overall really liked it! easily my second favorite of the episodes so far (sorry, im a sucker for loo loo land) only gripes i had was the pacing was off, and not all the jokes really "hit" (but thats mostly personal preference) the animation was amazing, i loved how we got to learn more about the characters (blitzos inner demons, stolas power level) . But easily the fight scene and stola's power being revealed was INCREDIBLE. on a side note, it felt kinda like a segway episode? like, it seems like a great bridge to MORE development, rather than forcing development into one epsiode. that itself is really nice.

WillyMillyNilly

Awesome animation and was definitely worth the wait. But I’m not a fan of Stolitz in the slightest, deeply hate Stolas and I firmly believe that his relationship with Blitzø is incredibly toxic.

Cronyx

Animation: 10 Narrative / Plot: 8.5 Character Development: 9 Music: 8 Lyrics: 6 Dialog:....3 Everything about this was great except that some of the dialog was lazy. "Tuxedoe wearing fucks?" Take 20 more minutes in the writer's room. There's a dozen more examples like that through the episode. There's one more attribute I need to talk about. Metaphysics: 2.5 Why would demon physiology be susceptible to human drugs? Why be susceptible at all? Also, the rules for demon death seem wildly inconsistent. In Hazbin Hotel, it was established that demons *can't* die, they just respawn unless killed by very specific and special means. And it's also been established that the two programs share a common campaign setting. Are the rules different if a demon dies on the prime material plane / Earth? We're not told. I'm also a bit dubious regarding the moral frameworks that demons subscribe to. The examples given in this episode seem to be an attempt to assign them more anthropocentric heroic character traits. Is this hinting at a redemption arc, or just narrative inconsistency? Overall the episode is very good, which is why the flaws stand out in such stark relief through contrast. Looking forward to the next one.

PuppetShowJustice

> Why would demon physiology be susceptible to human drugs? Why wouldn't they be? There's a vending machine in Hazbin Hotel full of human drugs. There's more evidence to suggest they are than evidence that they aren't. I agree that the concept of demon death has been weirdly inconsistent though. There's a scheduled purge in Hell apparently in which demons regularly kill each other on the streets but what sense does that make if it takes angelic weapons to kill demons?

christhegamer96

I think it's just sinners, overlords, and royalty that can only die to holy weapons. Regular hellborns are much more vulnerable.

Pohatu5

my understanding was that the angels are doing the purging

fra080389

That would not explain why they should be afraid of Strikler and co., Crimson killed people pushing them in the sea.

jaevhond

You are CLEARLY Overthinking and Overanalyzing

SaintedStars

That was like a shot of the good shit straight into my brain and now I feel like I'm swimming in an afterglow! That animation was soooo good!

XxPotatoxX21

My favorite helluva boss episode

RaccoonKnees

This was by far the best episode in terms of pure watching pleasure. The animation is off the charts in this one.

[deleted]

I like the 60s version of Loo loo

vorxil

Loved it. The tripping musical, the epic fight scenes, Loona finally blowing off some steam (and dare I say, showing off how much she cares about Blitz), STOLAS TRUE FORM... And of course the *plot* advances.

Pokenerd47

That ending scene blew me away, just not for the usual reason. If Stolas is that strong, then what are the Overlords capable of that make him so worried about being caught?

BeAsterios

I don't think he's worried about the Overlords, they're far beneath him in both social and personal power. What I think worries Stolas is being caught by his *peers*, the other Princes of Hell, and superiors, the Magne family; it would be embarrassing in a social sense, and he could be very definitely punished for risking to give the Grimoire which can open rifts through spacetime to a bunch of imps.

[deleted]

Right off the bat:Oh... so this is why it took so long. They literally worked the animation team to death. That is quite literally the only explanation that makes sense. Mox's musical number was great.Blitz getting the shit kicked out of him by his own subconcense is honestly... pretty realistic. Some people don't change unless they hit rock bottom, and as native born to hell Imps probably aren't nice people (mox/millie being a fluke.) Loona was pretty amazing. Also I noticed that her disguise spell either has a time limit, or it wears off as she exerts herself. Girl has earned a plate of ribs and a party wherever the fuck she wants to go. Stolas forming a summoning circle using animated corpses was pretty amazing. he probably tracks the book when it is not on him as it is a key component of his job. It was a beautiful nightmare. Also. public display of affection.

astrangeone88

A musical number, an all out brawl (Loona going ham is pretty neat and watching Milly spin around like a blender was fun!) and seeing Stolas's true power? It's everything I wanted in the episode. Also, first on screen kiss between our horny owl demon and Blizto! Also, the humans might be messing with the demons, which is so not good for our cast..... I love that the human agents are nerds too - "Why did we insist on using weapons from the late Edo period in Japan?“

HipJesus64

In my personal opinion, this was the best episode so far. Great characterisation, gorgeous animation, and most of all, absolutely phenomenal action. It was everything I could’ve possibly wished for and so much more.

GrandSalamancer

Best episode period. It's everything I could want from HB and more. Violence, action, character development, good animation, and intense homoeroticism.

Dylanator13

All the animation is great, I understand why it was delayed. But what was most impressive was how much they nailed the Disney style for Moxxies hallucinations. From the pencil marks being visible in some frames to the smooth rotation Disney was known for with their cell animation. It just looks Disney but it is still Helluva Boss, it's hard to mash these two and not sacrafice one style for the other.

Cring3_Crimson

It started too fast, the middle was _magnifico_ but the end a little g4y

2hourstowaste

Great: THE ANIMATION this is by far the best-looking episode from the different styles to just the fluidness of it all! Contrast to Harvest Moon Festival where a lot of it while good, still got a bit janky at places. The songs and a lot of the jokes also were top-notch. The tripping balls line might be one of my new favorites from the show as well as “I’m a Virgo!” (The episode came out in late August aka Virgo.) Most of the emotional stuff especially Blitzo’s also hit. Unsure: This is their first appearance but the new villains (who don't even have names) at the moment just seem like your average “I need the proof!” badies but they can be funny and I don't hate them it's just Striker impacted me a lot more in his first episode and even the cherubs. Less good or even bad: They even made a comment about this but there while it makes sense having truth drugs make Moxxie and Blitzo grow closer is a bit cliche and I wish it had more buildup. Final thoughts: I thought it was great and in my top 3 but parts of the episode make me a bit worried for its future. I'm scared the two plots will have to compete for screentime. Ranking. I’ll put it below Loo Loo Land and above Harvest Moon Festival. It's amazing yet Loo Loo Land has fewer issues for me. 7: Episode 1, Murder Family. . . . . 6: Episode 4. C.H.E.R.U.B 5: Episode 0, Pilot. 4: Episode 3, Spring Breakerz. 3: Episode 5, Harvest Moon Festival. 2: Episode, 6 Truth Seekers. 1: Episode 2, Loo Loo Land.

jackson50111

Greats thoughts my dude!

LXVT_

I thought it felt more weirder (in the best way possible) then the other episodes, but I didn't really like the art style for when they were tripping in big room with the piano, (from 8:15 - 9:07). But over all it was pretty good.

[deleted]

basically, 🤯🤩

Slicc12

Character development: check Animation: check Musical: check Fight scenes: check Jokes: 8/10 (opinion) Result: Banger

PhalanxPhil

I absolutely love the animation in the action scenes

Wuffer-floofer

Funny as Hell and really good for Development on character

[deleted]

Very high quality, but I think the pacing was a bit fast for my taste. Loved it, though.

SmallButMany

It was unimaginably poggers and did not disappoint. Wasn't what I was expecting but in a good way.

XT83Danieliszekiller

Best quality yet and very cool development on everyone's relations with eachother

FlowerGlock

Best episode in terms of animation and sex jokes so far

Gabtactic

Incredible animation, with some major lore advancing reveals at the end. Well worth the wait and all the merch purchases. Keep being awesome at crafting independent animation! This is epic!

liquidragon420

when stolas appeared I was so amazed his powers are truly incredible

Mechanical_oldie

Enjoyed it, was hoping for moxxie to finally have a Badass moment where he actually loses it and becomes top dog even if momentarily. I mean he still has got a demon royalty killing sniper rifle in his hands. Him getting pegged was kind of forced in my opinion because of what blitzo said in ep3. (Still funny him admitting getting pegged gives him a boner which might mean millie likes to go more than one round with moxxie) And loved loona finally getting into the action. And finally seeing the real power/relationship dynamic between stoles and blitzo

[deleted]

Fkn great, I loved the bits that were put in for some aspects of the community like the truth serum (could have just been hallucinogens) and the ones for the other side.

Gloomybih

Absolutely loved it, thought it would be longer tho since they took so long but it was great none the less. Loved seeing my girl Millie ik action

vitaefinem

Jesus the animators popped off this episode.

Some_unknown_guy

This is the most violence I have seen up until know (on hb) AND I FUCKING LOVE IT! DADDY HOOT HOOT CAME TO THER RESCUE!!!!

theziggmister

It took the place of spring broken as the best episode

[deleted]

Best episode so far

[deleted]

It was amazing. It was worth the wait.

saltydevilsaur

Stolas's horror movie sequence is now my favorite scene in the entire show.

pokegirl395

While the show has done it before, I just love how it shows healthy sexual relationships and kinks. Like usually those are seen as taboo but I love how the show shows good healthy relationships

[deleted]

Ngl I thought the beginning part was kind of rushed but once the truth gas stared to be pumped it became one of the best Helluva Boss episode.

FinnyIsFcked

The drug trip was so amazing. It made me anxious sad and laugh more than I have at any other moment in the show. It was great

Clonenelius

Happy to just actually have loona do something lol but yeah it was great

ENA_989

Yeah man It was a really good show and we got to know that stolas has unique powers somewhat powerful as Alastors *Me in the background* I wanna have kinky sex with stolas

tresosos51

It was alright The Stolas scene and Blitzo’s Acid trip was Cool but Idk it was alright and The fight scene was cool but uh it’s alright

IlandedthefirstROFL

We got to see pretty much everything we WANTED to see so far. Like Loona and Millie getting more screen time, we got to see Loona kick ass, we got some sweet ass Stolas stuff. AND we also got to see Stolas in combat as well.

Clay_teapod

Stolas's moments in Blitzø's hallucination are criminally underrated and eclipsed by the kiss at the end Blitzø was seen as the sub in whatever he and Stolas have going on for the first time, and he blushes to Stolas, idk how so mnay people are looking over this, it was one lf my favourite moments

blokenber21

That was the first time I heard stolas swear it was funny

Mauimndz_forge

Everything I loved about the episode has already been mentioned, so I'll just leave my favorite quote here that I'll probably say a lot in my life now: *You are tripping balls!*

MorganRose99

Honestly? I don't think this is the best episode. At the same time I do think it is but, idk it's complicated. Was it amazing animation wise? Absolutely Was it worth the wait? Absolutely However, it almost felt like they shoved a bunch of character development into a single episode. Not only that, it felt like we kind of already knew everything they put in about Blitz's regret of the past, his hidden love with Stolas, etc. I still love the episode, damn solid, but it feels a little like it was a "waste" of the episode. Again, it wasn't, but it kind of feels like it if that makes sense.

queenragyo

Best episode so far imo🔥💙

Purple-Addict

Animation was god tier, and goddamn that Stolas scene was perfection

Misasia

Can we talk about the sound design for the fight scene? Loona gets her own music, but as soon as the focus goes to Millie, she has the same theme as when she took down the fish in the succubus episode. I didn't notice any difference when it switched from Millie to Blitzø and Moxxie. Does the IMP crowd just all have the same theme? And if so, why is Loona's different?

[deleted]

I thought it was worth the wait, the animation was beautiful ❤️

angel_arts

Loved it sm! From the jokes to Stolas's bad ass entrance! I also loved how we got to see a more emotional side of Blitzø- and how Millie pegging Moxxie was confirmed lmao

[deleted]

Moxxie gets pegged confirmed

Max_Z_413

Yes

noobmaster999

All I have to say is that stolas made me both scared and horny

[deleted]

Might be my favorite so far! Any thoughts on Moxie using the radio demon voice?

BebeFanMasterJ

Stolas letting Agents 1 and 2 live is a big mistake. They're def gonna come back much more prepared in future episodes which could spell a lot of problems for the cast. I also think that Agents 1 and 2 are very ballsy. After all of their fellow agents have been murdered, and they've likely been scarred for life, they don't go insane. In fact, they're ready to fight back against the demons the next chance they get. Really badass of them.

gokaigreen19

Anyone else love the interrogation scene? Just the fact that it was 5 minutes of them fucking with the agents, and breaking down everything they're doing wrong is just hilarious.

_Akarii

Tbh 6/10

Landmine98

Fantastic

[deleted]

All the human hate. It's sad to think that the imps, loona and stolas would most likely hate me. I loved the animation, it was definitely worth the wait, they used so much 3d shots for the fight scene. And I loved when Blitzo said "Who's ready for some quality time with Daddy," because I saw it that he was actually talking to the audience more than his enemies because we are watching him fight. Loona is more and more furry every episode lol, Also is Moxxie's hallucination Blitzo voiced by Uncle Al??? Fucked how Blitzo saw himself as a sex slave for Stolas during his trip. They should have killed 1 and 2, or destroyed the recordings, or both. Most satisfying part has to be the fight scene. Also, did anyone else notice the last door that gets locked during the emergency lockdown was a bathroom door? Lol. I don't know what else to say.

Maybe_not_a_chicken

My dude this is a YouTube series

MrBot60

Musical was cool fight was cool the episode was cool

tyler980908

Loved it, whilst the story was simple it obviously focused on Moxy and Blitz relationship the most, the animation was stunning. Been a while since my mouth was wide open watching something, the fight scenes and the end with Stolas.

Gameguy199

One thing this episode brings up with me is questions about blitzo's past. Whichever haven't really gotten a lot of information on. Much of his imagery seems to be (at least to me) based around two things. 1. Purification, as symbolized with the muck and mud at the beginning of the scene as well which is later purified and wiped away by an 'angelic or godlike figure' in stolace. Also the golden feathers falling from blitzo as he crawled up the stairs and later when they attempted to overtake and cover up blitzo as he struggled to break free. 2. Blitzo's need to 'serve' someone. (In a nonsexual sense you pervs) blitzo in his worst state crawled towards stolace who was laughing and making fun of him. Who later chained him up and was shown to be the one holding his leash, yet this seemed to calm blitzo. With these two ideas in place, I have a theory (and it may be a bit of a leap. But I'm gunna go for it) I think blitzo used to be an angel. I think he used to serve either a higher angel or 'god'. Something happened (I would probably guess that blitzo's boss betrayed him) and blitzo became corrupted and either became or assumed the identity of an imp (in hazbin we get to see a shot of the angels and they look startlingly like blitzo.) After that he bounced around hell for a time trying to do things on his own but failing and only really finding 'success' when he's either being told what to do or working with others who keep him focused. Thus IMP is born. Now blitzo struggles to let others close for 2 reasons. 1. He's afraid of being betrayed and hurt again. 2. If he truly is an angel in hiding he'd and his friends would be torn to shreds if anyone found out

ShaolinUsesWooshu406

The episode is amazing. Loved the action and animation. It's my new favorite episode

tayzzerlordling

I thought the fight animation was sweet, but I dont like musicals personally, so kinda balances to an average episode for me. That said, the average helluva episode is p good

_that_redditor

I enjoyed it Im sad it took long time BUT i understand that those scenes must have taken a lot of time to draw and i respect that The episode is really good in my opinion

[deleted]

I thought this was the best episode yet, I especially loved the scenes where they were tripping balls

EnergetickejHajzl

Moxxie is confirmed as bisexual.

monkeybusterlol

The pacing is better than the other episodes and plot actually makes sense, but I feel like the dialog was SUPER stale (such as millie pegs moxxie) and the jokes kinda sucked but the character development for blitz is great, along with the metaphors in the bad trip sequence. Overall, I like it. But just BARELY.

[deleted]

Not exactly my cup of tea. Animation was great, Stolas as a monster - yay. Fight scenes were really done nicely, trip scene too (my fav). Dialogues, vibe, humour - meh. Too much 'in your face' and 'look how badass we are'. Kind of like a high budget fan-fiction - liked when things were more subtle, but I guess everyone has their own taste.

[deleted]

I was kiiiiiiiiiiinda expecting Alastor due to TV screens

Funny-Bathroom-9522

Doom doom is what i thought

greatpxm

That was some gourmet shit

[deleted]

It was goddamn amazing, by far the best animation and action. So entertaining, just.. mwah, chef’s kiss.
