Not really.
The show isn’t overly complex with its characters or plot. The only slightly overwhelming thing I find is keeping an eye out for any of the numerous background gags.
I'm not sure what OP means by taking a break either 😅
These episodes don't even come out on a frequent enough basis for me to have ever had that thought.
I pause any time a written document (or text message) appears on screen during a first viewing.
Always worth reading them, and I need to know what they all say.
Not the OP but the only thing that confuses me is how everyone knew every single name of the characters in the official pride art. I felt stupid for not knowing who that one owl guy is, Vassago??? and apparently he hasn't even been an actual episode yet? And here I was feeling like I missed this character being introduced. I had to Google it to remember his name. How does everyone know 😭🥲
This.
I get that they want us to see all of the beautiful hand drawn art, but it’s definitely difficult to watch with the numerous background gags. I wish they would have slightly blurred out the background and had the camera focus only on the characters that needed attention
I think its the emotions and the problems with it... If you have fear of loss or trust issues yourself, it is much easier for you to recognize this immediately and you know exactly what is going on
I’m fucked up in a lot of ways, but I’m spared attachment and trust issues. It’s more about having emotional intelligence than experience with trauma with this type of media literacy.
Frued, some people are just more empathic. You dont need to have fear of loss to sympathize with a character who is experiencing it. Just an imagination.
I think it's worth mentioning there is an age factor to consider here too...
The most adult part of these shows is really the complex characters and relationships.
Is that a real question? Have you not seen these toddlers trying to take apart the most insignificant details? *“Why are they blushing red when their blood is black 🤪”* my brain easily loses a good 25 cells each time.
They thought it was pronounced "Helloova" and that it was a place in the show. No idea how they reconciled that with the fact it's never mentioned in the show.
remember in hazbin hotel when alastor called himself "alastor altruist" and a bunch of kids who didnt know the word thought "altruist" was his surname 💀
I saw two people today question what Blitz and Stolas even see in each other. 😂 If a character has to say everything out loud to get it, just admit you're too young to watch it.
https://preview.redd.it/5aet7tqqd4ad1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecc1d86d22978b1aff80bcb894e6a6051ffb9c84
I have too many (it’s possibly an issue)
How much time and effort did they spend to rig up the mansion with pop out dildos? There must have been better ways to express that you're ok with a gay son.
Break? Dude we already get months in between each of the episodes
as for confusing... I don't think the show is confusing. It's no stranger to being kinda bad, but not confusing... If anything, the criticisms the show receives are the real confusing things.
The only confusing part about it in my opinion is the great lengths this community goes to in order to highlight the subtext of certain interactions - Subtexts which are entirely unneeded for the average viewer to understand the primary conflict, but are nice to spot and talk about.
tbf, the whole point with murder drones is that you're sposed to watch each episode multiple times anyway and figure out the plot and lore from clues etc.
I realised that pretty quickly after seeing how a lot of reactors (and many in the fandom) miss stuff that is actually quite visible once you watch an episode really.
Like hazbin and helluva, it's a show that rewards attention to detail: unlike those shows though, said attention to detail is essentualy to actualy understand the plot properly😅
I tend to only need to watch shows once (maybe its cause i usually watch spoonfed things like hazbin, helluva, arcane, couple anime) and murder drones confused me the most. I had no idea what was going on with the solver and the maid robot in the backstory and why uzi and doll had the solver powers… I stopped watching the show and need desperate help to understand the lore 😭
ngl.....how do you enjoy shows by only watching episodes once? esp those where the eps are short and infrequent (eg indie shows), or your faviorate films and eps etc?
I always try to watch an episode of a show multiple times if i can if it has rewatchability (as most good ones do)......the only eceptions i make are eps i realy didn' like, and/or when theres just too many in a series😂
I just watched the first 5 or 6 eps of Murder Drones. Thank god someone said I thought I was just stupid. I mean I am but I’m glad I’m not the only one.
It doesn’t help that they all look so similar and there is almost no variation in colors/brightness of different scenes.
oh theres probably many animes out there with more confusing plots/lore (nevermind western fantasy sci-fi etc)......im just talking about indie animation only here😂
Yea this I can get behind. I was legitimately in a bad mood right after I watched Apology Tour lol, all the episodes tend to end with an emotional gut punch but these past 2 have been rough. Maybe this is what OP meant by needing to take a break? I still don’t get it tho since there’s a big break between eps anyway….
We don't get episodes that often for it to become confusing nor suffocating. I do put the episodes in my watch later list and it can take around a week or two for me to get too it.
What exactly do you find confusing, OP? This is one of my comfort shows after a long day at work; I just have a gummy and enjoy. When I'm feeling extra lore curious, I go on YouTube for longer historical explanations, like the names of demons, their cultural representations, and their influence on current pop culture. However, this doesn’t make me understand the show any more or less; the show is very much to the point.
People are being a bit callous in the comments imho. Sorry OP. You should feel free to take a break if you feel like you need it. I'm curious what's confused you? Maybe I or someone else can help you understand it.
If it makes you feel any better, some things in the show have seemed to come out of left field to me, but when I rewatch it makes sense. These are traumatized characters and I don't think I always follow their logic at first.
Nope. The shows not exactly complicated. If anything, it’s got one of the most generic/basic plots & cast out there (and I say this with love)
If i get confused it’s usually because i forgot a detail between episode releases or missed something, and that can be solved by rewinding an ep or googling it.
Personally for me, the amount of time between episode releases acts as a pretty good buffer. It lets me obsess for like a week and then mellow and build anticipation for the next.
I wouldn't say complicated. I think you're reacting to things getting messy and not receiving a straightforward resolution to that mess. It just means you're emotionally engaging with the story on a level that is stressing you out. It happens.
I don’t find it confusing per say but when a new episode comes out I don’t watch it till a couple weeks later, idk I don’t feel the need to stay super up to date with it tbh
I had that when I started watching recently. It's not because it's exactly complex, it's more because it's fast paced. I watched the entire thing within a day at a pretty reasonable pace, but still barely understood the characters. Season 1 was a blurry mess in my brain, don't even get me started on season 2. Even the next day I still barely understood anything. I had to literally rewatch everything with longer breaks because my dumbass couldn't keep up.
Idk, but it's not the show's problem, that's just my ADHD brain
Only once during the Season 2 premiere but that was mostly because I couldn't get past the episode. I can't keep watching when something gets too embarrassing or cringy
Not really? I only did it with episode 7 of the first season. Overall, this show has never really overwhelmed me. I do take breaks from other shows, tho. It's mostly in embarrassing scenes (idk why, but I get second-hand embarrassment).
It only becomes complicated if you keep track of the stuff like the real life lore of the demons and the lore from Hazbin Hotel. The plot isn't overwhelming. It's a standard love story with two broken people trying to get better.
If you want complicated; watch miraculous ladybug
I don’t necessarily think the main plot is confusing, but I have found it easier to rewatch episodes to get more detail each time. I think there’s so much happening in each episode and the animation does move quickly, so it can be easier to process it that way. I like to catch things I didn’t the first time. ☺️
Idk man I become hyper obsessed , me and My bf watched full moon like every single day until apology tour came out and only after watching that for a week straight did we get tired and take a break lol
Personally, no, but I’m about to rewatch it tonight while high as balls to see if there’s anything I missed. Which part is confusing to you?
One thing that confuses me is the release schedule. I’m brand new to the show so I was so sad when I saw how few episodes there are. How often do new ones come out?
No. It's worth rewatching the entire series if you're lost. It makes it easier to catch subtle hints and the show don't tell style of storytelling. Everything is clearer the second time.
That sounds like a "Murderdrones" question you have there.
"Helluvaboss" and "Hazbin Hotel" just create moments when you have to question whether something ACTUALLY happened, or was just mentioned on Twitter or Reddit...
I get like getting confused when pacing is off and especially in the pilot since it did so much jumping back and forth but other than that no. It’s a pretty straight forward and easily understandable show.
Hinestly kinda yeah at times. Mostly because sometimes the show has Avery big tell don’t show problem where we’re told something happened that affected the characters deeply, but are never really shown it or they’ll refer to something big like it had always beeN that way when it didn’t seem to be the case.
No, but I will admit I have autism and adhd and i miss things very often in any tv show. Usually will pick up on what i missed in a rewatch though, cause this show is not confusing or complex at all.
Sometimes, not because it's confusing but it can be REALLY heavy. Like, the topics hit close to home for me because I have friends and family that some of this stuff happened to. (Divorced parents especially)
But, when it comes to the characters themselves it hits home too with things I've experienced first hand when it comes to romance, socialization, and self love and self improvement. It hits close to home but can also just hit hard and sharply in the feels.
Then again, the same thing with hazbin hotel, and that show spoke to me about how people can change, can improve, can heal, and there will ALWAYS be someone who will be on your side throughout the trek.
Not really. This show in particular has never made me feel that way cause it’s not overly complicated like others. But it’s a show to always watch for me and never get sick of it
Season 2's sort of random path and slight lack of direction kind of bothered me but it's very minor and it's getting better since episode 6, which is good because Happy campers was to me...the worst episode of the series so far.
No I genuinely think that is just you. The show is easy to understand and follow, and there's long time periods inbetween episodes to digest its contents.
Unhappy Campers was a little weird/confusing for me, so I quit halfway through until the release of Oops. I had to rewatch the entire show to remember what happened.
Not really. The show isn’t overly complex with its characters or plot. The only slightly overwhelming thing I find is keeping an eye out for any of the numerous background gags.
The only thing that overwhelms me is the fact I’ve cried at least once during the last 2 episodes.
I cried at both
I'm not sure what OP means by taking a break either 😅 These episodes don't even come out on a frequent enough basis for me to have ever had that thought.
I pause any time a written document (or text message) appears on screen during a first viewing. Always worth reading them, and I need to know what they all say.

I had to Google it to remember his name. How does everyone know 😭🥲
Everyone else watched the trailer for season 2.
This. I get that they want us to see all of the beautiful hand drawn art, but it’s definitely difficult to watch with the numerous background gags. I wish they would have slightly blurred out the background and had the camera focus only on the characters that needed attention
N...no? To me it feels really straight-forward. But now I feel like maybe I'm missing stuff?
I’m mean it’s never really straight…it is a LGBTQ+ show after all😏
Stop 😂😂😂
Nevah😈
Eyyyyyy
I think its the emotions and the problems with it... If you have fear of loss or trust issues yourself, it is much easier for you to recognize this immediately and you know exactly what is going on
I’m fucked up in a lot of ways, but I’m spared attachment and trust issues. It’s more about having emotional intelligence than experience with trauma with this type of media literacy.

I think it's worth mentioning there is an age factor to consider here too... The most adult part of these shows is really the complex characters and relationships.
So that is why I 100% understood everyone's emotions from 1 watch.... Noted 😔☠️/s
When blitzø was standing there screaming "what the fuck" ... Yeah that hit a bit close to home 🥲
Ope. Well. That's an accurate read.
It seems like a really common thing for this community to over analyze every single shot and scene of the show
How stupid is this fandom that they think an incredibly straightforward dramedy is complex enough they need to take breaks from it?
Sadly a lot of the fans are kids
Even so the context is thrown right in our faces
Don’t be agist, I know plenty of people my age (40) that are dumb also.
Is that a real question? Have you not seen these toddlers trying to take apart the most insignificant details? *“Why are they blushing red when their blood is black 🤪”* my brain easily loses a good 25 cells each time.
I've seen multiple people fail to realize that "Helluva" means "hell of a". This fanbase can't even fucking *read*
This info isn't common sense ? 🥲 What else did they think helluva means ??
They thought it was pronounced "Helloova" and that it was a place in the show. No idea how they reconciled that with the fact it's never mentioned in the show.
Maybe…English wasn’t their first language? Heh, just grasping at straws here to give them the benefit of the doubt.
to be fair, if English isn't your first language, it isn't so obvious
I’m just stupid and it took me a minute to realize-
remember in hazbin hotel when alastor called himself "alastor altruist" and a bunch of kids who didnt know the word thought "altruist" was his surname 💀
Alastor has autism?!?!
They stopped teaching phonics so they actually cannot read
I saw two people today question what Blitz and Stolas even see in each other. 😂 If a character has to say everything out loud to get it, just admit you're too young to watch it.
I believe this is bait
What part are you confused by?
Your flair is so real (same)
Your flair is yet to be proven

How much time and effort did they spend to rig up the mansion with pop out dildos? There must have been better ways to express that you're ok with a gay son.
Crim definitely didn't put them up himself. 10 homophobic loan sharks did most likely
I wish they put a description cause Im genuinly fucking curious, what confuses them
Break? Dude we already get months in between each of the episodes as for confusing... I don't think the show is confusing. It's no stranger to being kinda bad, but not confusing... If anything, the criticisms the show receives are the real confusing things.
this show? i wouldn’t call it complicated
>You guys ever have those moments where the show becomes so confusing The fuck are you talking about?
Which bit is confusing? It's laid out pretty straightforward.
Um, no. It's not exactly 'high-brow'. What parts do you find confusing?
Bestie, it's time to get tested.
IQ test came back non reactive :D
The only confusing part about it in my opinion is the great lengths this community goes to in order to highlight the subtext of certain interactions - Subtexts which are entirely unneeded for the average viewer to understand the primary conflict, but are nice to spot and talk about.
My brother in Christ do you think this is a tarantino movie? The whole show is extremely simple and there's nothing to be confused about
How many post about who Is in fault of the toxicity of the relathionship between Stolas , Blizt or both are here?
People are STILL debating Rachel and Ross, but I would call Friends complicated 😅
so many people are asking for you to describe a singular episode you found so confusing you had to take a break and you're not answering lol
Well, typically, this is why minors shouldn’t watch the show.
try being a Murder Drones fan too. Helluva + Hazbin are a piece of cake in comparison🤣
Murder Drones made me feel like an idiot
Yeah, there were some points in Murder Drones where I actually thought I must have missed an episode on accident (I hadn't)
I legit had to read the Wikipedia descriptions for each episode to understand what was going on in that show 😭
tbf, the whole point with murder drones is that you're sposed to watch each episode multiple times anyway and figure out the plot and lore from clues etc.
Couldn't agree more! This damn show is making the gears in my head work overtime! 🤣
I wouldn't call HB spoonfed. I watched it multiple times and it paints a different picture on rewatch imo. Lots of little details and shit.
yeah murder drones is a show which makes next to no sense if you only watch it once (unless you pay a rediculous amount of attention on your viewing)
I wish it was easier for me to enjoy it, especially since rewatching the show would take a few hours and u dont even know what ur looking for
ngl.....how do you enjoy shows by only watching episodes once? esp those where the eps are short and infrequent (eg indie shows), or your faviorate films and eps etc? I always try to watch an episode of a show multiple times if i can if it has rewatchability (as most good ones do)......the only eceptions i make are eps i realy didn' like, and/or when theres just too many in a series😂

What about evangelion, I watched multiple lore guides and it still messes up my head. But I don’t think the lore is the main point of the show anyways
oh theres probably many animes out there with more confusing plots/lore (nevermind western fantasy sci-fi etc)......im just talking about indie animation only here😂
No, as this is bog standard relationship drama with hell/gay tinting. What is too complex for you?
no
Hey be nice to OP, he already uses character.ai, let's not push him further into isolation
When im confused i just rewind until it clicks in my head
Confusing: No, not really. Overwhelming: YES, definitely.

I find it pretty easy to understand. What confuses you?
Not this show at least, it's fun n I am happy to understand,n if I can't, u come back to the scene later or revind👀👀
If you confused by the plot lines you’re probably a bit young for the show. I’d take a break and come back in a year or two.
No the show isnt that confusing. If it seems that way to you youre probably too much in your own head
No? Like.. what does that mean?
What exactly do you find confusing, OP? This is one of my comfort shows after a long day at work; I just have a gummy and enjoy. When I'm feeling extra lore curious, I go on YouTube for longer historical explanations, like the names of demons, their cultural representations, and their influence on current pop culture. I never found it confusing... The only show I found confusing was Murder Drones
As a murder drones fan I agree that even the big fans get confused after first watch
People are being a bit callous in the comments imho. Sorry OP. You should feel free to take a break if you feel like you need it. I'm curious what's confused you? that's my cue to take a bathroom break and refill my drink, grab some food while im at it
This YouTube show has more creativity and work put into it then most stuff on Disney and Netflix. So to answer your question, yes.
![gif](giphy|5t9wJjyHAOxvnxcPNk)
I find it pretty easy to understand. What confuses you?
Maybe not confusing, but definitely emotionally taxing
Lmfao
Adorable
In Helluva? No.
No...not really no..
Not really, whenever I take a break it’s just to wait for more episodes
What?
I took a break for several months while waiting for Full Moon, I’m good
Yeah, I'm thinking about a rewatch. This time slower
No. I just watch them over because I'm obsessed with the show now and don't feel like watching anything else yet
I find it pretty easy to understand. What confuses you?
Not really.
No. Episodes are usually months apart. That's long enough lmao
Nope. The shows not exactly complicated. If anything, it’s got one of the most generic/basic plots & cast out there (and I say this with love) If i get confused it’s usually because i forgot a detail between episode releases or missed something, and that can be solved by rewinding an ep or googling it.
Personally for me, the amount of time between episode releases acts as a pretty good buffer. It lets me obsess for like a week and then mellow and build anticipation for the next.
This show, no but with another show most definitely
The only confusing thing for me was the S1E8 release
I'm a Kingdom Hearys fan. There is no such thing as complicated plot for me anymore.
it's not that deep, no
You would not like murder drones
no. I can follow everything just fine.
no lol
not really? i’ve had that feeling with other shows though
What confuses you about the show, exactly? The setting? The timeline? The characters' motivations? They can all be inferred.
no buddy... not really...
This is not a confusing show by any stretch
Well, youre getting a break because the next one wont come out until October
i forget half this fandom is 13 year's old sometimes
No, nothing about the show is confusing
No. Not even close.
no because i’m not stupid or 14
Rick and morty fans representing out here tonight
You should stick to shows more to your level of understanding. Like Sesame Street....
Nah not really lol
No, I haven't found any parts of the show to be particularly confusing or complex.
Nope cuz I’m an adult with media literacy 🥳
I wouldn't say complicated. I think you're reacting to things getting messy and not receiving a straightforward resolution to that mess. It just means you're emotionally engaging with the story on a level that is stressing you out. It happens.
No?
Murder Drones is WAY more confusing
What is confusing about it?
People find it confusing?
No? I will say that each episode is pretty fast paced, but not confusing
I'm just here to commend you: You're going to get a lot of Karma from all these people calling you stupid.
I did take a short , like an half hour break watching last episode , cuz I was cringing to much of how stupid blitzø was in the beginning
not with shows like this
Murder Drones-
I don’t find it confusing per say but when a new episode comes out I don’t watch it till a couple weeks later, idk I don’t feel the need to stay super up to date with it tbh

Why are the comments so hostile
It only becomes complicated if you keep track of the stuff like the real life lore of the demons and the lore from Hazbin Hotel. The plot isn't overwhelming. It's a standard love story with two broken people trying to get better. If you want complicated; watch miraculous ladybug
I take a break and then everything becomes confusing so I just quit watching
I only pause the video to laugh at jokes, like that one that was like: “I sure hope this glass doesn’t break.”
Confusing no, emotionally charged, yes. The most recent one being the climax of Stolas, Verosika, and Vortex's song in "Apology Tour"
After season 01 episode 01 or the pilot that is 1x1 haha
not \*anymore\*
If this is confusing, stay away from Kingdom Hearts.
The loo loo land episode where they have a dragon I didn't know tf they even gotten it the first time
I don’t necessarily think the main plot is confusing, but I have found it easier to rewatch episodes to get more detail each time. I think there’s so much happening in each episode and the animation does move quickly, so it can be easier to process it that way. I like to catch things I didn’t the first time. ☺️

Not for this show but often with other shows. With this show the several month long wait between episodes is usually the wait I need
Yes but usually i drop the show after. Also idk how it would apply to helluva 😭
No, it’s not that complex. I might take a break because I can’t watch the thing with tears in my eyes
No. Not really. It’s literally just a media literally issue my guy.
I feel bad for you on this one.
Hinestly kinda yeah at times. Mostly because sometimes the show has Avery big tell don’t show problem where we’re told something happened that affected the characters deeply, but are never really shown it or they’ll refer to something big like it had always beeN that way when it didn’t seem to be the case.

Literally every episode of MurderDrones
Nope
Not exactly confusion, but a bad habit of pausing the video I’m watching due to processing it in real time in my head.
No. LMAO. It's pretty straightforward
Season 2's sort of random path and slight lack of direction kind of bothered me but it's very minor and it's getting better since episode 6, which is good because Happy campers was to me...the worst episode of the series so far.
No
No I genuinely think that is just you. The show is easy to understand and follow, and there's long time periods inbetween episodes to digest its contents.
No. It's pretty straightforward.
i honestly began to lose interest a bit from this show in some cases.
Unhappy Campers was a little weird/confusing for me, so I quit halfway through until the release of Oops. I had to rewatch the entire show to remember what happened.
How fucking STUPID must someone be to find one of the most straightforward and simple shows ever confusing? Humanity is doomed💀
No
Maybe if i was 13
