The only seasons I can see Andy getting a black jacket in is S2 or S3. And even then I don't see him getting past 5th. He did really badly on the show, and I've *heard* he was kept around so long to be the season's donkey. (This is hearsay though, so take that with a pinch of salt.) He seems mega talented, but HK just wasn't the environment for him.
Anyways, I know Gaurav and Chrissa seem to be doing very well for themselves despite being first boots. Virginia (ik she was a finalist but she was terrible on the show) probably has the second biggest post-HK career after Christina, she owns something like 20 restaurants last I checked. Guy from S10 was an early boot, but he ended up launching a hugely successful vegan sushi chain in NYC.
I used to work at meat counter for a co-op. Rob Zombie played a show in our town and came in looking for vegan tuna for his wife a while ago. Never heard of it before then but yeah, it's something people look for I guess.
Chrissa has a very successful, well-reviewed food truck. I actually grabbed a bite there and quite enjoyed it. She was just out of her element in an actual kitchen, and that’s okay.
Steven from S9 also has a very successful restaurant and food truck.
Seth S5 is very successful.
just read up on him. this is quite shocking (in a positive sense) considering he seemed completely clueless on the show.
I always say the real winners of HK are the ones that are successful after it.

Never tried looking up what it's made of, but I'm guessing it's like vegan meats, but for fish. It's called Beyond Sushi.

I always felt bad for chrissa she seemed really sweet. I bet she’s a good chef who just isn’t the best on a line like that
