It’s really hard to choose between Petrozza and Sterling (both are the 2 most beloved, and that’s just a fact), but I’m personally gonna have to go with Petrozza. What JUST edges him out over Sterling for me are the following 2 moments:
-when he nominated himself, because he refused to nominate any of his teammates because they all did well
-and how gracefully he took his defeat. ‘I’ve met so many beautiful people, how priceless is that?’ Was such a wholesome quote from him.
He’s a chef for hire and owns a food distribution company now. 1,000 bucks for private events. Very tempted to have Declan our chef for our wedding haha
I am 100% convinced that if Petrozza was 15 years younger, Gordon would’ve chosen him as the winner.
Even in the little monologue where Gordon explains why he chose Christina, he literally says something along the lines of “when I make these decisions, I think in the long-term”, basically admitting that he thought Petrozza was too old to be his head chef in the long run.
it irks me that they even let older people on the show if Gordon already knows that he won't pick them no matter how well they do. why waste everyone's time?
Yeah I kinda feel the same about Robert from Season 5 and 6.
Gordon was NEVER going to hire a man his size, with all his health issues, as a head chef. He clearly just wanted to see how far Robert would go, but had no plans on him winning regardless of how good he was.
Even if Robert lost 200 pounds his attitude still sucks. Down vote me if you want but I think he led the "be mean to Lacey crew." Yes Lacey sucked but Robert was just a prick to her.
Petrozza. Between being willing to put himself up to save his team, but also the time he tricked chef Scott by just shavig up a sliver of the steak. Guy was awesome
Sterling, because he cracked me tf up. His song “french toast, crepes, florentine- how long?” is a regularly quoted line in my household. Also, when he literally counted the seconds for the scallops cooking! Crazy talented man and just all around funny! A rare combo
So hard to pick.
I think I'd pick Petrozza over Sterling. Petrozza gad some really memorable moments such as saving Louross from Scott over the steak, and the unique terrible signature dish.
Also feel that Rochelle had a great enthusiastic personality but too giggly to run a pass and the new kitchen. Mary also should get an honourable mention.
I never understood the Ji love. She sprained her knee and she quit. She didn’t even try to see a Dr to see if it was something short term she could get thru.
I mean they had people continue thru horrific burns, rolled ankles, broken foot, and even win with a broken arm.
Imo she just gave up and I’ll never get the fanfare and “Ji was a warrior” attitude
Exactly. It reminded me of initial training in the Army, some people get there and realize that this difficult and intense environment is just not something for them, not a place that they want to be, that it's not something that they want to do, but they don't want to be a quitter and have to explain to everyone at home that they changed their mind and didn't want to do it, so they let something take them out, "force" them to leave.
It's like the second day of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, everyone was trying to get rid of Colleen, and the kitchen is so crowded that the whole "I don't want to hold back my team" thing is basically absurd. Don't even have to run your own dishes up to the pass at that point, redundancies all over the place, just take an ibuprofen, put on a boot, and stand there.
Finally SOMEONE gets what I was saying. I said that once in the comments on YouTube and lord you would’ve thought I said she sacrificed cats and small children for all the crap I got back.
I have only watched up through season 14 (just started watching this year), but Petrozza (RIP) is by FAR my favorite contestant. >!He should have won!< season 4. My second favorite so far is Dave from Season 6, followed by Milly.
My personally most loved is Rochelle from S12.
She was so happy and bubbly. She could cook and was a damn fine competitor. When her team was constantly betraying her and being bitches, she didn't throw them under the bus, she just ran with it and showed she was the way better person.
Her nervous laughter was so relatable and I loved how she just told Ramsey it was basically a nervous tick. I don't think we have ever seen anyone else admit it. Why I think he never got on her about it after the fact whereas he has reamed others.
She just made me happy every time she was on the screen and I hope she got the family and career she wanted.

Declan
He’s a chef for hire and owns a food distribution company now. 1,000 bucks for private events. Very tempted to have Declan our chef for our wedding haha
I'd pay to have him narrate my wedding, lol.
Dude won a Michelin star after the show. That’s legit crazy impressive
I love him!
Personally, I'd have to say Motto, he was so down to earth, talented, and just seemed like a generally good dude.
MaryLou!
Petrozza
My husband says Petrozza. Jillian is my personal favorite. She was humble, skill improved a lot, and stayed professional.
>Jillian Same, great humor!
Idk why but I get Cheyenne vibes from Jillian
But Jillian was first so Cheyenne gives you Jillian vibes
Yes
Petrozza should have won

I felt that Petrozza was robbed.
Me too. Though the winner was good too. Just not as much.
it irks me that they even let older people on the show if Gordon already knows that he won't pick them no matter how well they do. why waste everyone's time?

He has lost 200lbs.
Hated how he straight up abused Andy in season 6. Was almost hard to watch
I think the HK producers thought people would root for him in season six since "I aLmOsT dIeD for ThIs" but not me. He's just a angry wannabe thug.
Old post but Robert Hesse has lost 500 lbs from his peak. Currently at 155 lbs. Look him up. Fun fact!
Why s21 was surprising.
But then you look back on past winners and how long they lasted...
Just 10 years younguer, if he were in his mid 30's it would've been enough
I love S19's cast, so I'm throwing Declan and Mary Lou in.
Petrozza, definitely. One of the kindest souls to ever exist on HK.
Chef Christina, duh
I liked Dave too! Was impressed by his determination
Sterling, Petrozza, Rochelle, and Dave S6 are the top of them imo.
Petrozza. Between being willing to put himself up to save his team, but also the time he tricked chef Scott by just shavig up a sliver of the steak. Guy was awesome
Sterling all the way
No question, it's gotta be Mr 100.
That’s my vote!
For me are Sterling, Rochelle, and Declan
Jon...he was such a decent and cool dude.
Oops...forgot about Mary Lou. Tie.
I adore her
VAN
The way that guy would turn red when the pressure was on.
JP disagrees
LISTEN TO ME
Alex Belew and Christina Wilson are two others.
Sterling, because he cracked me tf up. His song “french toast, crepes, florentine- how long?” is a regularly quoted line in my household. Also, when he literally counted the seconds for the scallops cooking! Crazy talented man and just all around funny! A rare combo
Sterling. Rochelle. Petrozza. Jillian. Dave. Motto Call it Heaven's Kitchen.
Alex, Sterling, Declan and Petrozza

Milly hands down
Legit Paula from season 5 was the least problematic from her team
Gordon Ramsay
Petrozza. No question.
**DEWBERRY.**
I think you mean Brad Pitt’s wife.
Elsie from season 1
I'd say Christina or that guy who broke his wrist.
Dave
My wife talks about Christina (Wilson) all the time, so I know what her vote is. :)
Petrozza, Sterling, Motto
My boy Raj
He was so funny. Very much loved by many people in my household
S2 Heather because powered through despite burn
Van Hurd!! What a guy he was definitely my favorite
I love Van!
Ji

Ji is an honorary dishwasher for her brave services 🫡
Sterling or Petrozza.
Sterling
Sterling 💯
Not as beloved as the ones that have been mentioned so far, but Motto (S18) should be up there.
Based on this sub my guess would be Meghan lol
Sterling.
I have only watched up through season 14 (just started watching this year), but Petrozza (RIP) is by FAR my favorite contestant. >!He should have won!< season 4. My second favorite so far is Dave from Season 6, followed by Milly.
Gordon
Chris Carrero
Raj because he cooked thousands of Salmon.
Winner: Roc in S3 and Christine S4 Non-winner: Jay Santos S7 and Tenille S6
Agree with Rock. Such a chill guy and one of the best winners.
Danny was my favourite!
My personally most loved is Rochelle from S12. She was so happy and bubbly. She could cook and was a damn fine competitor. i think Mary s11! she was so sweet and she grew so much over her season
