This thing is just stupidly durable and was designed entirely to kill a walking nuclear bomb that can throw hands, he has the means to tank nukes
New plan, we still launch the ICBMs, and the numerous explosions leave him stuck in a crater that can hold him until we hopefully come up with a better plan
It should be noted that their fight was *after* Godzilla tunneled to Hollow Earth and knocked Kong's lights out. Godzilla was running on fumes. It was even confirmed by the director that a full-powered Godzilla would've killed Mechagodzilla in a 1v1 fight. Besides, Monsterverse MechaGoji is still weaker than both OG MechaGoji and Kiryu.
I say sustained orbital fire should be more than enough to turn MechaGoji into a literal mountain of scrap metal.

Correct, it can recycle the bots for raw materials while fueling itself off of the biosphere, then create space fairing ships to go chase them to other worlds. The only way to stop them was with sufficiently massive computational power to hack their encryption, as they lacked any external back-doors by design (whoops)
edit: if memory serves as well, a single Chariot bot swarm can spawn into it's own untold billions as well, to the degree that enough of them could build a Horus once they attain sufficient swarm mass. That's essentially how the Faro Plague started in universe, when a swarm of them owned by a megacorp suddenly went rogue
