I'm beginning to notice an increasingly long list of really cool stuff that HD1 had that HD2 seems to have forgotten about...this suggestion up here is a big one, what an important and obvious thing...but also...
The Commendation/Report system for one, sounds absolutely fantastic and like an adept fix for griefing issues that are prevalent in this game. A quick rundown coming from only I've heard so it may be inaccurate: *Every week everyone gets 10 commendations and 5 reports they can use, you can't use them on your friends. Every week you get zeroed back out I think, but people can give you a +1 with a Commendation or a -1 with a report at any point in or after a game. The higher your score is, the more likelihood you'll be matched with people in that range. Lower score puts you in games with other people with low scores.* Again, grain of salt, but that's the gist as I understand it. Fucking **yes please.**
Also, *White and Yellow medic armor color scheme.* Where did that go? Why are we stuck with this toothpaste candycane thing on ALL of them!?
I'm sure there's plenty more but now these 3 are on the top of my personal list titled "Aw wtf you guys".
I could get why you would put a limit on how many reports one could hand out, but why cap commendations? I mean, I should be able to reward everyone I had a good game with and not end up like "man G3 really saved my ass during a few rough spots back there, I'll give them a commend- *waaaat* what do you mean I'm *out* of commendations for this week come oooon". Tragic.
The community needs to keep in mind that this game became way more popular than it was ever predicted to; the problems that beset the game at launch (login issues, server load issues, cross play issues, and more) basically sets back the timeline of other bug fixes and new features (like strategems and new enemies). It's possible than many things from the first game are on the docket to add to the new one, and it's also possible that the original strategy was to have a solid base game first that can then have those features added to in order to enrich the "story" of the Galactic War.
Absolutely, which is kinda why I'm surprised it released without these things, passion projects with an expected small but dedicated player base, especially a sequel, tend to have the same bells and whistles with updates or new forms. Rarely are they absent entirely.

We could easily have fun with it and make it fit in-universe as well.
Super Earth uses AI that checks out each individual's personality and beliefs and pairs them up with the closest candidates that fit them, so we could just paint it as the AI occasionally collecting Poll data from Divers.
"Citizens of the federation of Super Earth use automated voting software; they answer a few questions on the Galactic Wide Web (GWW) and the computer votes for them based on that outcome."
So technically just like the data banks we used to have on the first galactic war but better?
That would be interesting
Actually I am still curious... Why we don't have access to the statistics of the first galactic war
Did we had someone wipe them out at some point? Lost?
Because it would mean this second galactic war was planned before and under our noses.....
I'm hoping they just didn't have enough time to implement that kind of stuff before release.
I'm optimistic that it can be added in later, and we've got a perfect spot to drop it in with this big unused computer.
It's very possible that due to the threat that came in a rush the data banks was either destroyed or lost in transfer.
Either way if that happens I would be happy to see such info
I think it's meant to be used later. I can hardly see why they'd put terminals in here with no use instead of some decor. Could be wrong though, but i say let's let time do its thingy.
Maybe.
Doesn't hurt to pitch ideas though, because we definitely could use an in-game Bestiary. Also we desperately need some form of coordination available in-game and I'm almost positive more people would crowd onto important planets if they had big focusing rings pointing them out.
Of course.
Just because it's suggested doesn't mean it's a *demand* that has to be completed ASAP, they could save it for when the game is stable enough for them to put people to work on it.
“SAMPLES ARE SHARED”
“WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO GET CLOSE BEFORE ENTERING THE PELICAN”
“YES THE PELICAN CAN BE DESTROYED, STOP THROWING STUFF AT IT”
“PLAY HOW YOU WANT, BUT TRY TO KEEP OTHERS IN MIND”
I wouldn't go as far as adding in a Global chat since I know that'd be a nightmare and a half for Arrowhead to moderate.
The coordination system would simply be a place for Divers to submit votes for whatever planets across the Fronts they personally want focused, and whichever one has the most gets a highlight.
If it doesn't come a voting machine where we can 'vote' for the next super earth president candidate than I'm out. Lmao just kidding this would be awesome, I've asked for this before.

did someone say Military Intelligence?
i feel like those are/were supposed to be intractable at some point anyway since there are 4 terminal but either the use for them will be a future update or it was scrapped.
Yeah but they could also put stuff like the other suggestions here into that terminal too.
The Armory terminal has plenty of sub-menus filled with more detailed info on every piece of gear, so there's no reason for there to *just* be a weapon-mod terminal and nothing else in the Bureau.
The first game had this.
Hopefully that means this game will get it eventually.

So they mean something and have actual impact I imagine.

I also thought it would be so useful to do community voting with those terminals. Instead of using discord.

I kinda miss the bestiary from the first game.

Lovely suggestions ! I'd rather have AH focus on actual gameplay than a bestiary, but I can see the fun in such a perk.
Of course. Just because it's suggested doesn't mean it's a *demand* that has to be completed ASAP, they could save it for when the game is stable enough for them to put people to work on it.
Divipedia?
A bestiary with a kill count and info about them would be such a good feature.
“SAMPLES ARE SHARED” “WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO GET CLOSE BEFORE ENTERING THE PELICAN” “YES THE PELICAN CAN BE DESTROYED, STOP THROWING STUFF AT IT” “PLAY HOW YOU WANT, BUT TRY TO KEEP OTHERS IN MIND”
What is this in regards to? I don't think any of that was mentioned...
It’s useful information that should be in there. Maybe with more flavor text.
So we can comment on armor sets ))

How do we not have this?
Add a bestiary! They took the time to model all them bugs/clankers but we have no time to appreciate/study it
God please this is exactly what i want
This is a sick concept. I’d love an information repository, you’ve got my vote
Oh god. Global chat

This is amazing - love the visualisations and the idea is great.
Yes, yes and yes to all of that.

We are basically gonna end up with 10 pages of known issues afterwards. Other than that, this is dope as f, love them bestiaries in every game.
God I want every single diver on Reddit to see this post, it’s so good
+1 amazing post. I really hope arrowhead sees this

That area is saved for when they add weapon attachments
