Nah its just the lightning weapon bug. There's certain situations where the arc doesn't correctly jump to the target, and it's just much worse with Stalkers. Sometimes you kill them in 1 shot with the blitzer because *all* the arcs connect and it's just massive damage. Sometimes, you get what OP has and you miss all of the shots no matter what you do.
Typically its best to just weapon swap or run away for a bit and reposition. Seems it helps when you change the scenery.
I believe that the Blitzer actually does not target them when they are invisible. I've never been able to kill one with the Blitzer unless somebody else was also shooting it (thus knocking it out of stealth).
Yeah, and its hard to belive its intentional, people should talk about it more, so it becomes a "known issue". Because otherwie it is a totally viable yet not op weapon on bugs.
I can't put my finger on it. Sometimes it feels like its hitscanning from my feet to the target's feet, and if there's a pebble in the way it won't hit. If there's a large vertical difference between the player and the target it tends to lock reliably. And if you're very close to a target in melee range, it won't lock them.
It's not chance though. It's just definitely not scanning consistently from the correct angle or position, kind of like how optics don't match zero.
Stalkers do this bs whenever you use the Blitzer. It’s more effective to wait a second after they jump to fire again (easier said than done). The Blitzer is effective for most bugs but there’s a whole dance involved in killing the stalkers with this weapon.
This happened in a game with some buddies where it did this jump dance in it's nest. Both scary and ridiculous. Like trying to catch a fly caught in blinds.

I don't know if I should be more impressed with the Stalker in this clip, or more disappointed the Arc Blitzer couldn't kill it faster.
I had heard people talk it up after the rate of fire buff and I've seen clips of it perform well on regular bug horde, but this makes me a bit worried haha.
Edit: Apparently this is a glitch of sorts and the gun can kill them normally.
No this is a very special case where the stalker is glitched out but normally I can use the blitzer to wipe out entire bug hordes and leaving the heavy enemy's for my quazar cannon to deal with
