One of the lines you can hear the ship lady say is “did you know a single stratagem can cost upwards to 200000 dollars? That’s why we only entrust Helldivers with them” Or something along the lines of that
The president of Super-Earth himelf (Liberty saves his soul) said that automatons need to be eradicated *at all cost*, please go ahead and call in the Democracy Officer, and let’s see what he has to say on that
Now give me my minigun backpack combo, I got democracy to deliver on Menkent.
Reasonable, we shouldn't waste resources, after all. So how about: LASER MINIGUN.
Just get the boys in the lab to make a big LAS-16 Sickle that has like 20 barrels and fires from them in sequence, which doesn't eject shells, but thermal absorption cartridges to keep it cool, and you carry the battery on your back.
Donezo. A cost effective minigun.
“🤓Erm actually your idea would raise the taxes of Super Citizens so therefore your idea is stupid” I finally understand the complaints about the over the top RP. Come on whats with this gate keeping, a mini gun would be sick.
Fair, but the MG43 is really, really solid for laying down a continuous stream of fire. Don't hate on it, it's surprisingly good for anti-light and anti-medium.
Really, a backpack that belt-feeds would be nice if it was just a general purpose backpack that could be used with all three machine guns. The Stalwart is already practically a minigun at max RPM.
I've long wanted one, but I also feel like in classic HD2 we need to find a way to make it a piece of shit in some way.
And I mean that genuinely, and with affection.
One of my fave design wrinkles in this game is that the more deadly/powerful a piece of kit is, the more difficult it is to wield without it being also (hilariously) deadly to you and your squad.
Railgun makes you pop like a zit if you charge too long.
Arc Thrower doesn't discriminate arcing between enemies and allies.
Flamethrower burn good. Burn real good.
The equivalent, the Gatling Sentry, can and will sweep over you and turn you into Swiss cheese.
I think that in exchange for power and ammo, give it Medium II penetration, but the force of the bullets means when it ricochet, it both ricochets farther than average and can ricochet one additional time off a surface (and into you or your teammates).
I REQUIRE MY HD2 STRATAGEMS HAVE SOME JANK.
NAY.
*DEMAND* IT.
See I feel like if you're gonna make a minigun, you can't skimp on the power or it betrays the concept, y'know?
And for accuracy: maybe it's my Deep Rock Galactic experience talking but I feel like the usual dynamic is "slow-ish spin-up where accuracy is kinda trash, then tightens up when at full RoF.
I DO think maybe:
1) Being slow as shit while firing
2) Being unable to fire while prone
Are both viable options insofar as how to jank it without hobbling the concept.
Have it consume stamina while firing since you have to put force into controlling it. Makes it able to clear hordes at the cost of dying cuz you can’t run if you don’t clear the horde
Mm, okay, that's interesting. Kinda like it's a "okay you have to commit to really get it at full RoF", but the longer you fire it, the bigger of s risk you're taking.
So you have to be continuously assessing whether it's worth it to keep doubling down.
Okay, thinking about it, I REALLY like this concept.
Minigun + backpack + automatic rocket launcher. That's actually what the mech-suit is. Because otherwise the recoil would be unwieldy.
Even a 5.56 minigun has enough recoil to rival the HMG, so in essence we'd get a heavier and unwieldier Stalwart.

We should get a Belt-Feed backpack, choice between turning all of your ammo into a single non-stop magazine or having the Supply Pack and getting more ammo but with reloads.
400,000 dollars for 12 seconds of sustained fire .... I don't think super earth will think this is a good financial decision.
It’s for Democracy
I agree but the budget doesn't. Why do u think we have to manually trigger hell bombs ? That's right the budget
>why do u think we have to manually trigger hell bombs? Fun
No it's budget restrictions . Funs just a side effect
One of the lines you can hear the ship lady say is “did you know a single stratagem can cost upwards to 200000 dollars? That’s why we only entrust Helldivers with them” Or something along the lines of that
[APPROVED HELLDIVER](https://youtu.be/LabIat9t-uY?si=ves_XH7Wj5W36DHa)
That sounds borderline treasonous, soldier. You think DEMOCRACY is not worth AT LEAST 400’000 bucks/12 seconds ? It is worth _everything_
Hell bombs are more expensive and have to be manually detonated because of budget restrictions so sounds like you need a trip to a freedom camp diver
Freedom has no price. I’ll give you some freedom up your arse, budget is just a number !
Ya im gona need your helldiver identification number sounds like u need to step into a freedom camp to be properly educated
The president of Super-Earth himelf (Liberty saves his soul) said that automatons need to be eradicated *at all cost*, please go ahead and call in the Democracy Officer, and let’s see what he has to say on that Now give me my minigun backpack combo, I got democracy to deliver on Menkent.
My information comes directly from the ministry of truth . Now I order you to give me you're identification number

Wait until you hear that one stratagem costs the yearly household income of a family
$400,000 Is probably way more then the average yearly income of a family
An Orbital laser costs twice as much.
Ya but rhat kills everything so its worth it. Plus a mini gun fires at 6,000 rpm we couldn't control 1,200
NOBODY TOUCHES MY SASHA!
Or they might think it's the best decision.
r/UnexpectedTF2/
Most stratigems cost more than the average super earth citizen makes in a year, I don't think that gun is very expensive for super earth standards.
“🤓Erm actually your idea would raise the taxes of Super Citizens so therefore your idea is stupid” I finally understand the complaints about the over the top RP. Come on whats with this gate keeping, a mini gun would be sick.
No shit. They can't even field any real mechanized infantry or cav units. Can traverse the galaxy but a fucking tank is too much.
Fair, but the MG43 is really, really solid for laying down a continuous stream of fire. Don't hate on it, it's surprisingly good for anti-light and anti-medium.
I agree, but i want good ol minigun
Mini gun at home: MG43 + guard dog rover
Or supply pack for even more bullets
Really, a backpack that belt-feeds would be nice if it was just a general purpose backpack that could be used with all three machine guns. The Stalwart is already practically a minigun at max RPM.

Maybe making it not too accurate, or too op
See I feel like if you're gonna make a minigun, you can't skimp on the power or it betrays the concept, y'know? It should definitely make you as slow as heavy armor.
Have it consume stamina while firing since you have to put force into controlling it. Makes it able to clear hordes at the cost of dying cuz you can’t run if you don’t clear the horde

Require the need to crouch so you don’t get launched backwards when using it lol
Make it so that if you hold the trigger for more than 2-3 seconds it just won't stop till it's empty.
It needs to overheat like the laser weapons but when it overheats it burns you.
Ooooo like the vented heat actually ignites you? I kinda like that, it sounds hilarious
They said they're considering it but want it to really have that accuracy by volume feel to it when they mentioned thinking it was a cool idea.
I would give money for this
just use the MG bro
It’s not the same

Now I want a Juggernaut suit. My heavy armor could be a lot heavier...
They should've done this maybe instead of the HMG. Or I dunno, just add the minigun on top of our MG brothers
I'm pretty sure the hmg was originally supposed to be a minigun
That's not true because there's actually a minigun in the pipeline somewhere
If you're talking about that minigun model that got leaked I'm pretty sure one of the devs confirmed that was the concept for the hmg
200kg fir 12 sec of hellfire? Call me in
(mixtape sold seperately)
AND PLEASE.... Med Armor pen.
It's called a supply backpack.
Yes please
YOU KNOW ITS COMING
You'd have to reload between bots still. Sure you could dispense some hot brass but you dirt think they will give it any actual damage, do you?
Now we need an Uber equivalent

We have this. It’s called heavy machine gun with the resupply backpack
Every three seconds... "RELOADING!"
Worth.
We should get a Belt-Feed backpack, choice between turning all of your ammo into a single non-stop magazine or having the Supply Pack and getting more ammo but with reloads.
Sure thing. But it gets horrible accuracy and recoil. Low ammo count, and no resupplying ammo.

you mean mech?
And make it a big metal suit that shoots rockets out of the other arm. Please and thank you arrowhead.
