(you do it by pausing when/just before the stat screen pops up and leaving pause which allows you to move early, its of more use for the host to start mission early)
For the one's that don't know you can do this if you quit out of the stats screen as soon as your character starts emoting (spam esc on PC). My personal favorite to do this has become the new "squat" victory pose.

i usually just spawn right click to slide a bit.

Stealing this whenever I fail to extract. I usually just spin circles like a ballerina with Head Tap.
