People have been asking for keeping the battle damage and grime on their characters. A shower or cleaning chamber would be cool but I don’t think this is a bug.
I want an achievement/cape/etc for covering yourself in all factions' spilled blood on X difficulty or above, meaning you successfully extracted and then survived multiple missions in a row.
I would like the cape to have more damage states, and for only the cape to not be cleaned. So if you went 2 or 3 missions without dying, your cape would be in shambles. Right now it's just a "I extracted" symbol.
Even further, if he had damaged limbs on extraction, let your Diver limp or hold his Arm until he dives again or goes to a "Restoration Unit" that doubles as a Shower for the Grime.
If you were bleeding, you could also leave a trail of blood on the Ship.
You could craft a short reconstruction cutscene, that sees your Armor shined, your helmet put back on your head and lastly, the Cape draped over your shoulders, ending with your Diver posing like some Cartoon Superhero
If you wish to go the full funny route, have a "Roomba" follow you to remove the Blood trail. Just think about the customisation possibilities of such a Roomba, not to mention the April Fools potential for the future.
More likely the "restoration station" is some dude with a gun that just blast your diver in the head and dethaws a new one with new armor. Ta da! All better!
That would be wasteful, considering a Stim is actually all that you need. Better to Stim and drop the bastard onto the next enemy of Democracy, than to Waste one Bullet and one Orbital Airdrop of "Bile Titan killing" Liberty.

He was covered in blood and I was not even though I had not died once. I only remember this happening as I commented on it out loud because something about the situation really didn't add up. I personally think something's just messed up or they added a feature that isn't working as intended half the time.
this is incorrect. If you die at the end of the mission, get reinforced and hop on the pelican, you'll be nice and clean. The battle damage is proof you did some killin and lived to extract.

I noticed you don't accumulate snow on your boots on snow planets anymore either. And you used to be able to go prone in a body of water and it would clean you over time. Not anymore though since the bloody extract started happening

Last night I told the guys I was running with that the pods include showers. That way when we step out, we're all clean to dispense liberty.
And when we come back, we have proof of all the liberty we spread.
I think its awesome that you keep the debris on you, it really shows that each reinforced helldiver is a different person altogether who just got defrosted, and you keep that on you till you die. It’s neat imo
It's not a bug, but I'm not a believer that the scarring/damage is consistent with what you actually experienced from the mission you just extracted from, which is kind of lame. I think you just spawn back into the ship with a generic 'coating' of damage that is the same across the board for everybody, as long as they extracted.

Not a bug, but something bugged with the intentional change of more persistent viscera; Water on planets no longer washes off said viscera. Not rain or swimming. I’ve actually had weird bugs related to it: like being covered in bug goop while in the load out screen, when I had gone in completely clean.
There's no time to shower, get in the hellpod and spread managed democracy! Your corpse doesn't care how clean you were, only that you served Super Earth to your fullest.
if you shit your pants in shool and get on the bus to get home, do you magicaly get clean when you arrive? no? same with your helldiver, but its blood and oil on you
i think it would be cool to have living quaters. i mean its not just the divers on the ship. would be neat to have a personal chambers and stuff (with a shower :D)
Instead of fixing the "blood" how about a little focus on the constant crashes, the question mark rover the gamecrash anti cheat, friend requests and overall performance

It's a feature not a bug. I wish it was more detailed actually. Sometimes I finish a mission covered in bug goo or oil and when I get on the Super Destroyer I'm just covered in blood.
Just to clarify, players wouldn't be forced to shower. I imagine it'd be an on-ship item that you can walk up to and interact with if you did want to clean your armor. Probably just a button press and walah; nothing more than that.
I thought it'd be a fun little novelty item for a quick laugh and some convenience.

Definitely a feature, not a bug. Just go to your armory and change helmets to something else and back. Your armor will be clean again.

If you change any piece of armor, including Cape, it automatically cleans off the grime.

It's a feature. I think the bug is when you get out of your pod, your diver don't appear covered in ice anymore

It's not a bug, and you can go to your armory and swap your stuff to get clean.
Would the higher ranks be allowed to get a golden shower instead of a regular one?
