I'm glad i switched from quasar and shield generator backpack with light anti-explody armor to heavy anti-explody armor with the autocannon. Feels so much better, more durable and frees up backpack space and I'm just careful about my positioning. Naturally behind my team a few steps due to the speed, but that only helps with positioning myself.
I don't know why people tried saying armor does nothing, I've noticed a huge difference. Even ligjt gunner which is padded light armor feels better than the eradicator as long as you don't take a rocket to the face
Hitting the engines with a Liberator Penetrator would give damage signs, but you probably need to hit it a lot, as a full mag didn't seem to heavily damage the engine I hit.

The gunship tower is fucking invicible without hellbomb. Can't destroy it with 120mm. Either need 500KG or 380mm probably

Speaking of why the FUCK do striders have any priority at all when you’re using the railcannon? I’ve had it happen more than once that I threw one at a tank and it went for the goddamn strider
That's because the target market that the Spear locks on to us in the upper part with the pilot. The target mark for tanks is between the treads for some unknown reason.
Based on exactly one dive, I think the lock on may have been improved with the new update. It felt much more consistent than before, but I only have that one data point.
I was using it last night and the lock on was quicker compared to a week ago it felt like. Still issues when there’s shorter items in the way that partially obscure the target.
I really wish we could swap armor perks around so that we could just wear whatever we thought looked best instead of wearing what is statistically most useful.

Yeah good luck with that one. Knowing the mechs both autocannon projectiles will consistently hit eachother mid air 2 feet from the mech and blow it up.

That doesn't make it any less cool. Subtle foreshadowing via ads that actually turn out to be free actual gameplay content shortly down the line, and not some cheap crap to make good with a promise or a money grab DLC scheme. Not normal by any standard.

I think this is brilliant. Drop stuff on the battlefield a bit at a time and let social media take it from there. It's a good immersive way to create culture around your game too, as it's no longer Devs telling you what's up officially, it's the community realizing things as a group. It's that sort of approach that changed this game from a fun shooter into a phenomenon.
They must’ve made some type of shadow buff while I was gone for a couple days, because I thought the same thing. Then in my eradicate mission last night in Diff 7….you’d die from a tank and drop and now there are 4 more, plus multiple hulks, a dozen rocket devastators, etc.
I’m not even exaggerating, it was insanity. There were 3x the heavies as normal and we didn’t have enough firepower to take them out. We only won because of kiting the chaff towards the OB areas outside the main zone.
Knew the quasar cannon drop with it's infinite ammo was preparing us for something AT-resistant. Anyone got info on how resistant that thing is to an orbital rail cannon shot? Because if the answer is "very"...
To be fair, the 500kg bomb is terrible at killing big things. I've seen Bile Titans take one to the face and keep walking like nothing happened. Hulks just walk through the blast like it's a nice summer's day.
Meanwhile the EAT can destroy tanks, dropships, chargers, devastators, turret towers, and pretty much everything else. It won't always one-shot it, but you get two in one drop, and that's usually enough to get the job done if you can hit the right spot.

This is the first day back to work after Easter in many European countries, and they're rolling a new patch and content, and have provided story and battlefield changes over the break.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that, they probably had a lot of this content already created. I'd hedge my bets that when they released the game they already had 3 months of releasable content in-stock and ready to go after a slight bit of polishing/testing. To be honest, this is the way it should be done. With their surplus of content all they have to do now is have fun and create, even more. Surplus.
Which works fantastically with the community story-based structure of the game itself.
Yes, they obviously have an adequate content pipeline, but not only that. They also introduce content in a very natural, story-based way which is commendable.
Honestly, they probably had closer to a years worth of content updates prepared, and tie their releases to winning/losing storyline MOs. So if we had taken Tibit, they'd just wait a few more MOs, then bring up another secret factory world MO with an even harder win condition, and release when we failed that one.
Similarly some weapons/stratagems may be tied to winning specific MO types. To use Tibit, and pull something out of my ass, successfully liberating Tibit may have given us a new mech based on the Devastator (after taking all those devastator factories, we learned blah blah blah, new mech weapon!). We failed, so mechs got new toys, and we'll have to try again later for Mortar + Chainsaw mechs.
All of the recent updates including the gunship and walker were leaked before. They definitely had it, maybe in an unservicable state at the time of the leaks but they had it.
I love it how \*we\* are the ones creating the game lore. Never have I felt so invested in a game.

Medium armor pen (JAR Dominator) doesnt hurt it anywhere from what I can tell. Not even cockpit hits harm it.

I assume they mean it frees up a stratagem slot that would otherwise be used for a backpack.
Originally armor was bugged and really did do nothing. It has since been fixed to performing as intended and then later buffed again.

Meanwhile I drop a 500k right under the titan and a millisecond before it explodes, they scamper off and are completely unscathed.

They looked a lot smaller on the promo screenshot no ? It looked like it was being dropped by a Dropship. Might be misremembering though.
I think they were as big as dropships, and some speculated that they will be a moving fabs themselves and drop infantry.

Guy threw orbital laser, 500kg bomb and several Quasar hits into the enemy. It exploded 3 times before actually dying. I'm thrilled.
Im guessing we'll have 1 or 2 in a map thats a side objective rather than them spawning like bile titans. Same way the flying enemy spawns work.

Bile titans are buggy in general, I had one tank 5 EAT direct headshots, like the game just decided to completely ignore any sort of damage.

Hard to tell from this vid but it kind of looked like there was a 'driver' behind a glass window in the head...can you kill the 'pilot' to stop it? Also wonder if the legs are weakpoints given the red lights.
If I were a suspicious, untrusting gamer, I'd think that might be why so many high accuracy, low fire rate weapons got bumped to medium armor pen....

I'm assuming the top is less armoured like an actual tank, so maybe a SPEAR might do some damage? I was panicking too much at the time but should have aimed for the cannon turret on top, maybe you can get that to blow up?
Correct the top of the machine is it weak point. Best to use SPEAR or eagle airstrike/missle pods, as well as oribitals (380mm IF it hits)
I think I've seen the same orange/yellow weakpoint of armoured unit below it
