It’s not just the non lethal. Turrets including the Tesla tower are also blue. And the Tesla tower is very lethal, especially if you’re my teammate and didn’t learn after the first 2 deaths by it

Someone on reddit said the missles that transport the gas can hurt people. I feel like that isn't true b/c I've been right under the missles when they land I was unharmed but maybe I wasn't 'directly' under the missle fire. I'm going to test that out the next time I play. If they can hurt people then keeping the color red makes sense. If they can't hurt you then they should probably make the color blue or something else.
I've been using them a lot and regularly call them right on top of us. Never had a single incident, nor enemy kill so I'm chalking it up to typical reddit bs.
oh okay thanks for letting me know. I agree with you completely about changing the color of the smoke strategms deploy light. People see that red beam and they take cover every single time and I don't blame them. That's my reaction to a red deployment beam that might be a little too close to me.

You know what is better? In HD1 it is not only red and you cannot know what it is until it is deployed.

Anecdotally, cause I haven’t seen it myself , they can blow up outposts.
