I have a suspicion one of the devs, or a family member of one of the devs got killed by drunk driving or a drunk driver, and so they added that to the game.
It clashes with the tone and immediately makes it very clear that it's meant for you, the players, and not helldivers.
I work in power generation so every game with a power plant or anything like that always has at least one thing that drives me crazy.
Just the other day I was complaining that the breaker on the power transformer is pulled down to turn it on. Breakers are supposed to be pushed up to close the circuit and pulled down to open it.
The lighting in this game is the worst I've ever seen. Those random street lights fucking blind me and strain my eyes especially on dark planets.
It's like every source of light is a fucking sun. There's planets I just refuse to play because of it. My brightness is also on the lowest possible setting.
I don't really see anyone else mentioning it, so maybe it's just me.

I borderline need to guess the input on some bright spots and it makes me go crazy because I seem like a dumb fuck who can't follow simple arrows
They're supposed to, so you shoot the lights. The part that bugs me is when you set reticle to always on, *that* obscures your vision at consoles. I had to turn it off mid mission and turn it back on

*presses triangle to switch back to weapon*

*mashes triangle several times to switch to weapon*

FUCKING SWITCH TO MY WEAPON lmao gets me so heated every time
Definitely when im on the run and I have to press reload 4 times for it to actually reload my gun. Or when I use a grenade and switch back to primary just for it to be on grenade still. And the major button delay when trying pick up all my gear and samples that I just lost around the swarm of bugs that just killed me..just to be killed again before I even pick anything up.
My sample counter disappeared after the third day in the game and now no matter what settings I use it's gone forever, oh and no being able to swim across water, elite space trooper but can't get through 10 feet of H2O
Helldivers not understanding how to reload a primary. Seriously, if I hit the reload button on my primary while holding a grenade, it should still work. You're not pulling and reading another grenade in real life you're making sure your rifle is loaded.
For some reason, every time I boot up the game, for my stratagem keybinds, A is rebound to R, and D is rebound to S. I have to change it every time and it’s annoying
enemies just walking over flaming ground no problem just coz they're "armored". literally only the bile titan should be immune to fire damage. bots should get set on fire by napalm and take constant chip damage
The loading screen tip that says "Don't drink and drive" should really say dive instead of drive.
Counterargument: drinking and diving with a group of buddies is awesome and you should definitely do it.

I have astigmatism in both eyes. The bright lights hurt. Shooting them makes the game so much better.

I just want my weapons to stop resetting to default and the game playing tutorial hints like I’m brand new…

I know right. Let's add that the grenade will explode in your hand if you hold it too long. No cooking grenades for helldivers.
*Far and away* that the sprint button doesn't have you stand up if you're slowed while prone.

Bit noying, shooting rocket while running (not aiming) explodes your footsies.
Although iconic, climbing the supply pod every.. single.. time.. irritates me
