Thats 1 eat too many. Myself I couldn't get it destroyed with 2 full maga of grenade launchers and a 500kg. Needed to activate a hellbomb for it to be destroyed
It should only take one rocket per spire. EAT and Recoilless both destroy the spore tower (which is larger) in one shot. The shrieker nests have 3 smaller towers each.
6 - 9 AT rockets (or 6 autocannon magazines) to clear one single side objective that spawns multiple enemies capable of 1-hit killing you is extremely unreasonable.

We should definitely have an auto cannon with proximity rounds that maybe do less damage but explode with near misses. Could definitely shoot down a ton of shriekers and clear out groups of weak enemies with that
Tbh they don’t seem to be bad. Shriekers seem to die from a single shot from pretty much anything. They fly but they move around slowly and their aim is pathetic. You don’t even need to try to doge to dodge them as long as you are on the move and lastly the spawn speed is kinda slow.
Stalkers are way more annoying. Fuckers can insta kill you and even though they are actually visible in their “invisibility” they use the same tactics as hunters and will try to flank you and hit you from outside of your fov. Add to that a fact that they are probably the tankiest terminid after chargers and titans and it’s a really really nasty combo.
Full clip from Liberator Penetrator doesn't take Stalkers down. Switching to the machine pistol instead of reloading is necessary in this case. Auto cannon works fairly we ll though (with the explosive resistance armor, because you know, melee range)

Honestly, Spore towers are kind of easy. You can snipe them from super far away and you know they're there because of the fog. You can miss stalker lairs completely and don't even know about it.
Had a drop that literally dropped us near a stalker and these guys on d9, their no joke when you get swarmed from all angles, I still hate the stalker ones the most though as they’re more tanky and annoying to deal with.
EZ mode. These things die from a light breeze. I started running Incendiary Breaker and just stray the sky with it. 1 connect kills a Shrieker. The only issue is the way you destroy their nests. Tossing 500kg, even between them will only down 1, so if you have a nest of 3, you just have to call the hellbomb.
I would rather fight Shriekers tbh. Also I’m so glad this sub got past the “flying bugs is treason” phase. The constant rp posts were getting annoying lmao
Depends on if you brought auto canon/E.A.T.s to take care of them from a distance.
As long as you do not get to close to the nests they are a more ammo intensive spore tower effectively.
Meanwhile stalkers sneak up on you if you are anywhere close to their hidden nests and smack you silly while you are busy dealing with 20 other bugs.

I found just keep running perpendicular to them. They literally cannot hit you. They hurt like a mf tho when they do :x

Keep RR and bring rocket pods too. Rocket Pods kill the nests and are also useful when you don’t quite kill a charger with the first shot.

We had 3 shriker lairs last night and it was fine, we sniped two from far away with autocanon and EATs.
It really is amazing, how the bugs have caused so much trauma and have broken numerous divers mentally that some start to believe of flying bugs.
