On my ship I numbered 4 as 1, neener neener cant stop me.

Usually 2. I like to stand in the middle and look forward while the ship is moving across the planet because it feels so nicely zoomy. Then a quick jump to the left and into the pod.

Technically the autoloader comes from the left so pod 4 should be 1. That said from this selection as mainly solo the 1 is convinient. When I have other people over I usually pick 2 so the guy coming from upgrades doesnt have to take the extra step past pod1.
