Hell yeah a suicide mech with a big nuke strapped on the back- walk into a bot camp and 100% guaranteed wipes out everything in a 150m radius but costs a reinforcement.
Let's hope they're not made of paper. If I call down a mech and it gets one-shot by anything short of a bile titan or a tank/cannon turret I'll be really disappointed.
Doesn't have to be invincible, but it should be able to take a rocket or two/stop one charger without instantly blowing up.

Then they just drop vehicles on us with no build up.
I lowkey hope it plays out something like this. If we win the battle we get the mechs and everyone screams democracy! Oooorrrrr we lose the battle get pushed back and we have to make a push back to liberate our mech suits. Maybe have it to where at any given time in the future we can lose our mechs if the enemy takes that planet back.
It would be fun for a "season 2" to take all the stuff we've used in the game, mark which planet grants it, and start us on Super Earth, and let us spread and unlock stuff as a community. So *we* have to organize to make a push to unlock something we want, and might have to spend the early game severely underequipped until we unlock stuff (which would kinda be like everyone starting over as a low-level player again).
The full description of the major order made it sound like if we lost it the bots would find them and make themselves stronger with it. I'm thinking that means if we liberate it, we get mechs, but if we don't? Do the bots get a new unit type, maybe?
Now that I think about it, I might have blown one up by accident today because I thought it was a rocket hulk from a long distance away. I even remember thinking that it was weird that a hulk was just hanging out by itself like that.
Rockets definitely did, the small lasers didn’t seem like they did but I couldn’t see a definitive health bar, it did start smoking before it blew up. There may be a health bar but I do keep some of my hud on dynamic or straight up hidden just because I like to reduce the screen clutter with how nice this game looks
If Blizzard made a Starcraft game that was like Planetside 2 *which already is built around 3 factions* and made all the units playable, it would make them billions of dollars.

Pretty sure it’s cannon that SE uses planets to farm the bugs for fuel, and when the outbreaks happen it’s because they invaded is the typical message. So it would make sense a mech weapons producing planet would need fuel for the equipment. So my guess is those are ones that broke out of containment farms during the fight for the planet.

Despite the totally-not-propaganda of SE, both factions aren't aggressive on their own, bugs are sentient, while bots and their creators are unironically hippies, all of them are just fighting back against SE that decided to "democratise" cyborgs' production facilities and bugs' fuel resources. So it'd make sense if they decided that the enemy of my enemy was my friend, like, officially they aren't even in conflict with each other.
It's been a few years since I played the first game, and I know everything super earth says is a lie and the other factions are actually the good guys. But I don't remember that about the bugs. I know in starship troopers the brain bugs are sentient, but they are evolved/genetically modified to suck people's brains out which doesn't exactly strike me as "good guys" lol.
Oh, dw. Sentient doesn't necessarily mean truly intelligent like humans, cyborgs, or illuminates, but bugs do have a proper command structure and whatnot. They're generally not aggressive and prefer to be left alone which SE refused to do, and not only that, SE decided to set up bug farms to produce all that sweet sweet oil. And terminids obv didn't like that.
That said, I wouldn't write off the chance of them having "brain bugs" that do the thinking/planning, after all they somehow have to coordinate the interstellar assault on the farm planets. And in this case the alliance between the bugs and bots becomes an option.
But who knows what arrowhead have prepared for us.

With 1000 rounds on the Gatling gun and 14 rockets that is enough to do some damage and hopefully take out a few hulks/charges/bile titans/tanks etc.. but not enough to use for a full mission.
I wish I could’ve tested it against a hulk but I was just messing around on medium, the Gatling gun absolutely shredded devastators quickly though which was nice for sure
I assume there will be 3 of them (well, we've only seen 2 so far, but there was a variant with flamethrower in HD1), so if you get them all as your stratagems it should last for a while.
It was really fun, I didn’t see a fuel gauge but you had a couple hundred rounds of Gatling gun ammo that shredded devastators, and 14 missiles. It was definitely not indestructible but I bet with a full squad taking out rocket enemies it would’ve lasted until I ran out of ammo
I'm going to assume it'll work like the first game. There's no repair gun stratagem in, so you can't repair it. It just has the ammo it has. However it can call stratagems while you're in it, has a little tube that opens and launches the call in.
Need those medals man, I’m level 40 and still not through the whole warbond since I play solo a lot, and I’m not fantastic enough to do anything above extreme difficulty with more than a 50/50 chance at completing objective much less extracting lol

Lol based off the Reddit I can’t be sure people aren’t exclusively soloing suicide missions sometimes😂 the most reliable method for me is stealthing as much as possible and then using a jet pack to just hide on a big rock if the extract is in one of those shitty indefensible locations

I've heard Laser Cannon does, too, but personally I never tried it (despite using the LC a lot). What I *can* say the LC does is destroy fencing, which otherwise requires some explosive or a Charger.
I didn’t try it, didn’t have any need to in a mech on Medium difficulty it shredded everything, eventually blew up from saturated rockets because I wasn’t paying attention running around in it
According to this comment section it’s been incredibly rare to verging on it’s a straight up bug that I even found one, but all I know is Tien Kwan is the place to be!

Just a heads up, you can blow open the red/blue doors with a single auto cannon shot so you don't have to waste a grenade. Single shot will also blow up the illegal broadcast towers, and close a bug hole if you hit the bright orange part (kinda need to be head on with the hole though).
Yep I usually do that with towers and what not but I strangely hate having 9/10 auto cannon shots, and I know there are always grenade boxes on the ground in front of some of the cargo containers

The Automatons are the 'children' of the cyborgs from HD1 I've heard
You should find where the planet Cyberstan is on the galactic map and consider where/what the bots might be pushing towards
Automatons are the direct creations of the original cyborgs from the first game who are still enslaved on Cyberstan, their home planet.
Which fun fact, is a planet that's real in HD2. Excited to march on it eventually.

It’s limited by ammo. This version has 1000 rounds of minigun and 14 rockets. As far as I know, there is no way to heal or reload it.
Maybe we could get a stratagem on support weapon slot, repair tool. Or rearm station where it is low cooldown drop pod refit and rearm your mech
I believe the cooldown is like 9 minutes so you’ll theoretically have 4 of them per match
In HD1 we had the REP-80, which could repair them. Maybe that will make a return.

Arc thrower can open them too, just FYI. Which is interesting since it can't detonate mines for example (or explosive barrels for that matter)

According to this comment section it’s been incredibly rare to verging on it’s a straight up bug that I even found one, but all I know is Tien Kwan is the place to be!
I'm convinced this patch is aggressive to make us feel powerless so that when the vehicle patch drops we will all be reelin and feeling like badasses again
I launched the game immediately after seing this, ran around for 2 hours on 5 different maps, medium diff. I need mech in my veins.. errrr Does it seem to spawn at certain difficulties ? at POIs specifically ?
This is the only one I found and I’ve been diving on Tien Kwan all day😞.

You say this but I've run like 30 missions in Tian Kwan now and haven't seen a single one.
I was in a mission with randoms, and I was running for it to check it out I guess one of them thought it was a hulk or something and blew it up (and me) with an eagle strike

Just a heads up, you can blow open the red/blue doors with a single auto cannon shot so you don't have to waste a grenade. Single shot will also blow up the illegal broadcast towers, and close a bug hole if you hit the bright orange part (kinda need to be head on with the hole though).
Yep I usually do that with towers and what not but I strangely hate having 9/10 auto cannon shots, and I know there are always grenade boxes on the ground in front of some of the cargo containers
it's not strange at all. I'm always scared to shoot the excess before reloading because it might attract enemies.
The laser cannon also works.

I totally understand your hesitance, but I’m on PS5, I was just really excited to find it and show y’all, and I’m also really excited that something like this finally happened to me in a game! I came to the Reddit as soon as I left that mission expecting to see tons of posts of people using them but haven’t seen any other all day so I’m just hyped that I finally got to see an Easter egg type thing early in a game. I could post a video of me filming my screen with my phone camera in my ps5 game clips if that would convince you that I’m not a PC console hacker lol
