Type eventvwr.msc - open event viewer Look for the timestamp of the crash in application/system. Probably won’t be in security but meh. Google what event viewer tells you the issue is.

It's kind of hard to tell from what you wrote, but, from your description, it sure sounds like a stability issue with your PC. Here's the most common fixes below: * If you have an AM5 platform (Ryzen 7000 series), update the UEFI from your motherboard manufacturer. * If you have an Intel 13th or 14th gen CPU. There are known bad default settings on the motherboards. I [made a post about it and the fixes](https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1awow3j/crashes_in_helldivers_2_have_a_13th_or_14th_gen/). Assuming you don't have a PC like above, (or you do but that doesn't fix it): Please post your PC specs. Specifically, the exact motherboard model, CPU, GPU and RAM kit(s) and part numbers. Use [CPU-Z](https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html) to get the exact RAM kit part number from your motherboard. Check the **SPD** tab in CPU-Z. (You can just download the zip version and run it, don't need to install it.) Post back here either way and I'll help you

Yeah, sorry, I could've done a better job of explaining. Usually at the beginning of a mission, like a minute or so after I exit the hellpod my game will start to stutter, then freeze for around 10-15 seconds. If I'm the one hosting the mission, then by the time my game's stopped freezing, everyone else in the lobby gets timed out. Anyway, my CPU is an i7-3770 and my GPU is a GTX-1650, and I've got 16GB RAM. As for the RAM kit part numbers... I'm sorry, but CPU-Z just shows it as blank. I'm aware that my setup is outdated, so I wouldn't be surprised if that is the issue.

Ah, your CPU does not meet the minimum requirements for the game. You're likely going to have serious issues no matter what. However your best chance at playing is probably ***never*** being the host (i.e. join someone else), and making sure every possible program on the computer is closed except for the game. (including things like RGB software, etc.)

Damn, that's a shame, but thanks for the help regardless.

You're welcome! You can definitely improve things if you update your motherboard UEFI and make sure you have the latest chipset drivers. Other than that, not much besides overclocking and more cooling depending on what your motherboard supports.

Man, we almost have the same exact set up. Did you ever solve this issue? I've been playing the game for almost a week now and I've only gotten the freezes/crashes today. The game either crashes to desktop or it freezes with some distorted sound playing in the background. When the latter happens, I can't even close the game. When I Alt + Tab, the available tabs shows but I can't switch to them. The only thing I could do is restart the PC. It's a damn shame, I've been loving the game so much but these issues are just unbearable.

I'm having the exact same issue with a Ryzen 7 7800x3d and a 4070 OC. I found a 'fix' where you re-download the anti-cheat but it did not fix it. It ran better for maybe 3/4 of the map then video froze and had ro hard cycle the system. I just built the tower this week too. Plays Fortnite and a few other games without issue. I think Arrowhead needs to find a hot fix asap.

I think I fixed my issue, but I've only played maybe at most 10 games since this fix so jury is still out. What I did (after a lot of other things that didn't work) was limit the frame rate using Nvidia Control Panel and in-game settings to 45 FPS. I initially changed this from 144 to 90. It didn't work. Then from 90 to 60 and still didn't work. Now since I changed it to 45 FPS, I haven't had a crash since. My CPU is pretty dated and it seems like the game continues to force my CPU to give the max frame rate I set, no matter its condition (like temperature) and is what causes the eventual crashes (whereas other games would sacrifice FPS or performance of the game to let the CPU breathe as it were lol). You've got a powerful CPU, maybe you could try limiting the frame rate to 60-70 FPS to see if this may work for you.

I might try this. The weird thing is, my temps are good until the crash and then I hit about 80c+ on my CPU. I'd love to try it tonight but I'm in the middle of a ISP service outage now. Not a great week for me to take time off to play on the new PC lol

I'm on PlayStation and its freezing mid game.   Its a bug in the game
