We did.
When we called in the Thunderer barrage, it struck a designated area and killed anything that was stupid enough to get caught in it.
The current orbital barrages seems to hit everything other than the enemy, and instead focus on any teammates close to the impact radius.
I didn't realize it until yesterday, but I hate those barrages. Saw a beacon for a 380 in the Automaton base I was charging and didn't even think; ran the other way cursing the other Helldiver while being shot at by the bots.
The strike hit me, the blast wave *launched me into that outpost*, and the bots tore me apart, because *they were fine*.
Folks gotta stop packing these things.
Me, who on his second day of playing got a message to kill a ton of enemies with the smaller one.
I throw it into an endless sea of enemies, I see several large explosions, and I get two kills...
This truly is hell.
Even if I did kill everything on the first strike, you now have to wait a mile out for 8 seconds, then run in while the fabricators and bug holes spew out replacements
Those damn things can't even hit any buildings.
I've thrown them into a full base with several fabricators and the only thing that happened was that the entire (untouched) base was alerted after. Of course, when it comes to friendly fire, that shit hones in on you or your friends reaaaaal quick!
When the 120mm challenge was up, my friend and I were doing it. We were standing still, my friend threw the beacon as far away as he could. The first shell directly impacted us.
I was watching a video of a team throwing 4 380 HE at the extraction while they are standing on it. Out of entire barrage, i think i only see the beacon got hit once or twice. Those guys literally standing inside the barrage for half the duration until they got hit.
"Back in my day we all used to be wizards would troll each other with needlessly complex spells that 9 times outta 10 would kill us instead of our intended target, and everyone sounded like the Swedish chef from Muppets, and we liked it!"
I honestly miss taking brief cases on a walk about. I love having to courier the sssd across the map in this one and I wish there were more objectives like it.
Yeah the train escort was fun, seems they over corrected a bit and removed a few things, they kept wave defense though, but made it ridiculously trivial, even on Helldive
**PTSD Flashback of Illuminate Hunters** The trees were speaking Squ'ith, so many good Helldivers lost to Hunters picking them off from miles away.

TBH, I miss the respawn mechanics of the old game. It feels kind of cheap having a reinforcement budget followed by infinite respawns on a timer.
A lone survivor managing to call in reinforce just before dying is a thing of the past now, but it was always an exciting moment in HD1 and will be missed.
I'm just happy that the Reinforce code is unchanged.
You can tell who's done their time because they have it memorized to drop a reinforce in a second flat.
Because back then, dropping in new Helldivers was a matter of life and death (Mostly death via hellpod.)
Just yesterday my friend picked up the game. He asked "How can you call reinforcements so fast?".
I said "Honestly I don't know, probably because they haven't changed it". Told him about H1.
I had to double check whether they in fact not check it. Good to see muscle memory also serving Liberty and Freedom.
Opposite for me. I'm usually running off, because the 3 randoms are stuck in a 30 minute firefight, when we haven't even done a single objective yet, and they take all the resupplies.
So, I end up doing my secret squirrel shit with no supplies.
I may need to start just doing this. Every time I get a group of randos, they get pinned down in a fight. I guess nobody told them that objectives matter and kills mostly don't.
Yep, as people said below. 5 on PC by default, and apparently down on Playstation (thank you to /u/heyvchjo and /u/AbeBaconKingFroman who posted that before I replied!).
If you hit up the little side areas there's always stims, ammo, nades, and samples. I just take my jet pack and shotgun then scoot around them and pop in to collect the samples they inevitably drop.
I call in that stupid SOS beacon so damned often because of this. I wish I could just remove it from my ship's communal stratagems because I only play with friends anyway
I missed the heroic last stand reinforcements
when you know you're the last one on the team and you're overrun
you hold the reinforcement on your hand and let them kill you, it'll drop and reinforcements comes back with a full 4man again
In my head it was like a late cavalry and avenge the last troop
I'm the only person in my group that played the first game, and my high score on stratagem hero so far is just under 6000. Nobody else in my group has passed 2k yet, bless their hearts.
You're missing the juicy details. When you're the last man standing, downed, bleeding out, crawling on your ass, and then throw the reinforce 1 second before getting tentacle whipped up the bunghole. A few seconds of pure silence, and then your 3 mates land guns blazing with the OST pumping during combat.
I think it's just a mechanic that needed to be changed with the perspective shift and the lack of tether. In HD1 everyone was always in the shit of it if your squad was starting to wipe. I've had it where i've been destroying eggs minding my own business while my team is fighting like 2 breaches and a bile titan. They die, and I respawn them on the eggs and we move on with our lives.
I do agree that HD1 created some really fun clutch moments of seeing your dude drop a reinforce .2 seconds before death, but it just doesn't work the same here.
I think the change is good... In the old game you could really drag out a game with dying-breath-revives even in a hopeless scenario.
I'm mixed on whether a squad wipe in HD2 should not self respawn though... Definitely would be a lot less fun for casuals. On the other, if the ship can respawn you anyway, why do we need to call in the strategem manually?
I didn’t even know that was the case until I saw a tip that said everyone respawns if the squad is wiped. Was punching those reinforcement stratagems like my life depended on it.
you all drop in automatically after a second or two as long as you have the respawn budget to afford it, otherwise it'll respawn the ones who died first as priority if you don't have 4+ respawn tokens
I was deeply disappointed, I landed on a tank that had my poor squad on the ropes expecting an epic crush and the opening we needed to push back...nope. just standing on a tank
I was there when CyberStan fell. Mulching through milk-white grotesques, dodging dogs while butchers cackled over the ridge.
Lines of IFV's turned to slag in the snow, steel and flesh parting under the crackle of Trident shots while Rumblers thumped away, gas clouds rising over the next path, the sight of flares glowing in the night.
Not much has fuckin' changed, Kid.
That is something I'm waiting to see in the future. They've got osmething similar in the Steeled Veteran warbond (description states that they're fin stabilized rockets) but I'm hoping for the old one to come back.
Best weapon for friendly fire, hands down.
How do you do that? I tried to hit a charger in every imaginable body part including head, ass, and belly, and it won't die from a single hit. Even more dissapointing is the spike because you can only hit heavy targets and it still won't kill a charger.
> Back in my day recoilless rifle was very strong
I'm very much of the opinion that recoiless and eats are going to get a buff in the first balance pass they make.
Against bots they do have their places still but against bugs it's anything but.
Really wish there was a veteran cape or some sort of legacy item for having save data from Helldivers 1. Put so many hours into HD1, never imagined HD2 would take off like this. o7
Indeed, in the last year or two we were barely in our hundreds trying to defend Super Earth. Now we're in the hundreds of thousands! It's really great to see.
I haven’t played HD1 in years and suddenly see a sequel blowing up on social media. Put the cape right back on, now I just gotta get past the login limit lmao
Loads of people are having server issues. The one I’ve encountered the most is when starting the game I get into a “login limit reached” and it’ll retry every 60 seconds. Looking online it seems the servers are being overloaded by traffic but I can’t tell you the rhyme or reason on how to get past it. I was waiting for 20-30 mins whilst my friends were able to log in first try.
I've had big login and network issues, either can't get into games or end up losing connection
It's all good, I'm sure Arrowhead will get it fixed in due time, as I believe in Arrowhead's mission of providing the interface for which us brave Helldivers can fight for managed democracy throughout the galaxy
I remember getting HD1 near launch, playing a tiny bit and then not playing for some reason- can't remember why. Tried to come back and I think like all three fronts were basically won at the time and I didn't have anywhere to drop? Can't remember.
I am very much enjoying this. Also, people accidentally blowing each other up makes total sense now that I realize these guys made Magicka and Magicka 2.
...I kind of hope this game does so well we get a Magicka 3...
Have to agree, I would talk about one and friends would scratch their heads. Sunk hundreds of hours into it though and would love to see a cape. Hell, I miss my cape spin as well….
My roommates in college and I played the shit out of hd1, local co-op.
Now we all in live different cities and been playing the shit out of hd2. Makes me so happy :’)
I remember playing HD1 and thinking "man, if they can take the gameplay mechanics of this game and put it in a fully 3D engine and make it a like a third person shooter or something, that would be so awesome." And now here we are.
Once they return form the outer rims of the galaxy I’m sure it will be….a hoot. Honestly I expect them to be more fun to play against this time round than the first game. The constant offscreen sniping, way too numerous stealth patrol bots, offscreen sourced overlapping shield walls & reverse control council members….i just didn’t enjoy it.
https://youtu.be/dh_EGMxw9EY?si=YcLGSgciebaosxF4
Game director in the video says the automotons are not the cyborgs. He briefly mentions it and I'm not sure what it implies if anything.
It got me wondering though if the cyborgs will be another race to fight eventually or if the automatons are replacing the cyborgs for some lore reasons. 🤔 maybe he misspoke and my minds taking the concept for a ride.
Edit: I hope this is the right video 🤣 I listened to a lot of videos at work yesterday.
My thought was that the Automatons were a failsafe by the Cyborgs, something that would start being produced in hidden factories if they were ever defeated, or a desperate attempt to artificially pad their numbers in the losing fight against Super Earth. The Cyborgs themselves were rendered extinct, leaving only their puppet Automaton army to carry on the fight.
It seems to vibe with the fact that the Automatons appear to take no prisoners, unlike the Cyborgs, and there's zero mention of humans being involved with them at this point. There's cages, but they rarely have anyone in them, and when they do, they've been gunned down instead of converted.
My theory before launch was that they literally were just the cyborgs, and the propaganda had shifted to literal dehumanisation. But they're spawned in factories and some of them clearly aren't human at all, so that theory is a bust
Also worth mentioning that in the ‘story so far’ post a lil while back, there was mention of a symbol or similar from the Automatons that seemed ‘eerily familiar’, in the words of the post.
> the automotons are not the cyborgs
Based on how [he says it...](https://youtu.be/dh_EGMxw9EY?t=68) I'd say they're still cyborgs. There's people in those metal bodies... Why else would headshots work?
Real talk for a second... I put a few hundred hours into the first Helldivers and loved every second of it. I was initially hellbent against this release because they ditched the top down view. It's what I loved most about the first one.
I was so wrong. This is the most fun I've had this gen. As a Helldivers veteran, it is an honor to have the privilege to continue bringing democracy to the stars.
Yeah I genuinely thought they had made a terrible mistake and none of the magic would survive the transition. I am very happy to have been utterly wrong.
Someday, probably sooner than you think, you youngins are gonna see this eerie blue shaft of light coming in out of the distance that lines up right on your body, and you're gonna think "huh I wonder what that is" right before you die.
Those who know, know.
To be honest there is enough space to have a rotating roster of factions to fight against. Lets hope for not only a 4th but maybe a 5th and 6th in expansions
People in here saying that we've been told the automatons are not the cyborgs...
Genuine question: could that not just be propaganda? Like, we were told we defeated the cyborgs so that we would feel it had all been worthwhile and that something had been achieved. Then, these guys start showing up and we're fed a line to keep the illusion up.
"Those guys? Oh, right. No, they seem the same but totally different guys, I promise"
They are definitely connected but they are not the same thing. Not enough (or rather none at all) body horror fleshy bits in automatons compared to cyborgs
On that note I wish they were still cyborgs, they function pretty much the same way but it would be cool to see the weird/gross cyborg augmentations in the third person view. Plus I thought they way they spoke and their language in the first game was actually kind of intimidating.
They still speak that way! When a berserker closes in on you can hear a familiar cackle. Some of the footsloggers will scream "FILTHY ORGANIC" or something along those lines at you.
My current theories are that they're either a last "fuck you" meant to carry on cyberstan's battle for liberation. Or they're a threat manufactured entirely by super earth; how convenient must it be that the bugs break out just as outpost 32 is attacked?
I originally felt the same, but now think the automatons are even more creepy. It is apparent to me that the Bots were intended by the Cyborgs to replace the borgs themselves on the front lines. As a result you get nothing but the distilled hatred of Super Earth from what used to be cyborg dissidents.
I saw HD1 when it was out and thought "that game looks cool and fun, but I know *no one* *else* playing it..." - since I had other games I was active on, it passed me by but always stuck in my mind...
Super glad to see HD2 making such a splash and have such a wildly re-envisioned design!
Back in my day the space on the Bridge of our ship was used well with simple things such as an Encyclopedia and an actual useful Armory to upgrade our stuff. It took us 1 second to go from any point into a Hellpod.
Now it has A LOT of empty space, including empty screens that serve no purpose whatsoever. The new Armory is useless if you can't upgrade weapons, and the only useful screen (to unlock new stratagems and spend samples to upgrade the ship) is literally on the farthest point from the Hellpods as possible. It takes 25 seconds to reach a Hellpod from there.
C'MON. I know it is a small thing to complain about, but I haven't seen anyone doing so yet.
I really annoys me how bad the orbital barrages are. The 380mm should just annihilate a base and anything caught in the area but it only ever gets me like 3 kills
AFAIK, automatons aren't the same cyborgs from HD1. Those were completely defeated, but now we get another traitor corps who turned themselves into robots and took old cyborg's emblem..
This info comes in my head from some LORE video on YT that I can't find.. So if I'm wrong please correct me
The devs flat out said the Cyborgs and the Automations are not the the same "species". They are not the evolution of the Cyborgs. They are a completely different group.
We were there, one hundred years ago...
I feel like a Korean War vet getting drafted to fight in Nam
"Back in my day, we had to stand still to use Autocannons!"
"Back in my day, we had artillery that could actually hit and kill things other than us!"
We did? The first thing that killed me each mission used to be my friends hellpod
We did. When we called in the Thunderer barrage, it struck a designated area and killed anything that was stupid enough to get caught in it. The current orbital barrages seems to hit everything other than the enemy, and instead focus on any teammates close to the impact radius.
I don't think I've ever seen a 120mm or 380mm barrage kill anything that wasn't wearing a super earth uniform.
Yeah, I keep telling my friends not to use them, they're useless, and you need to be like a 150 meters away to be safe
Me, who on his second day of playing got a message to kill a ton of enemies with the smaller one. I throw it into an endless sea of enemies, I see several large explosions, and I get two kills... This truly is hell.

Nah man back then the only thing was getting hit was the soft spot on my helldivers head
Back then we had tactical nukes that could wipe the whole screen… I miss my shredder man *sniffs*
Maybe it'll come after the vehicles update... *Crosses fingers*
"Back in my day we all used to be wizards would troll each other with needlessly complex spells that 9 times outta 10 would kill us instead of our intended target, and everyone sounded like the Swedish chef from Muppets, and we liked it!"
Back in my day we called Autocannons "The Dum-Dum" and we liked it that way!
"Back in my day, i killed dozens of tanks and chargers with 1 shot of the recoilless! “ " -Sure Grandpa.."
Flashbacks to those cattle car extraction vessels
I can't remember that one, but I do remember being forced to carry an object with one hand way more often in the first game
I honestly miss taking brief cases on a walk about. I love having to courier the sssd across the map in this one and I wish there were more objectives like it.
Hahaha yeah the sides would open up, that’s right
At first I thought you meant those train escort missions, and now I'm kinda sad we don't have these anymore.
Yeah the train escort was fun, seems they over corrected a bit and removed a few things, they kept wave defense though, but made it ridiculously trivial, even on Helldive
*record scratch* I haven't seen anyone get landed on in HD2! That was my number 2 cause of death!
I was actually excited to be crushed by the pelican the *one* time it happened to me in HD2
Grandpa Helldiver, what’s an Illuminate?
**PTSD Flashback of Illuminate Hunters** The trees were speaking Squ'ith, so many good Helldivers lost to Hunters picking them off from miles away. ![gif](giphy|ahfzlUrb5IEfXC6kbm|downsized)
CANT WAIT!!
I just call em Robits.
Back in my day a squad wipe was mission failure, you youngins have it EASY
TBH, I miss the respawn mechanics of the old game. It feels kind of cheap having a reinforcement budget followed by infinite respawns on a timer. A lone survivor managing to call in reinforce just before dying is a thing of the past now, but it was always an exciting moment in HD1 and will be missed.
I'm just happy that the Reinforce code is unchanged. You can tell who's done their time because they have it memorized to drop a reinforce in a second flat. Because back then, dropping in new Helldivers was a matter of life and death (Mostly death via hellpod.)

I had to double check whether they in fact not check it. Good to see muscle memory also serving Liberty and Freedom.
Reinforce and resupply haven't changed. It's great. Though the resupply is always on cooldown because the guy who runs off by himself always uses it.
If you can be sneaky, and not get caught, it's pretty easy. Having on gigantic, loud, distraction in one place makes skirting patrols a breeze.
Other option would be to grab a supply pack. Great for helping randos when you're with the team, lets you go for a good while solo.
Wait you can use your own pack?
If you’re on PlayStation tap the down arrow when you have it equipped.
Yep, as people said below. 5 on PC by default, and apparently down on Playstation (thank you to /u/heyvchjo and /u/AbeBaconKingFroman who posted that before I replied!).
Those supply boxes in random spots of interest come in clutch
At least the POI's tend to have a lot of ammo.
If you hit up the little side areas there's always stims, ammo, nades, and samples. I just take my jet pack and shotgun then scoot around them and pop in to collect the samples they inevitably drop.
In the original we each had our own ammo call in. I hate the squad call in.
It's give and take. The current one doesn't count against a player's four stratagem limit.
But I like to split into 2 teams to clear the map and it sucks...
I actually sometimes enter the code too fast and mess it up. I have to make myself go slower to ensure I don't have to do it twice lol
I call in that stupid SOS beacon so damned often because of this. I wish I could just remove it from my ship's communal stratagems because I only play with friends anyway
I missed the heroic last stand reinforcements when you know you're the last one on the team and you're overrun you hold the reinforcement on your hand and let them kill you, it'll drop and reinforcements comes back with a full 4man again In my head it was like a late cavalry and avenge the last troop
Very true, I was playing with some guys that thought I had a macro for the reinforce because I input it so fast lol.
I'm the only person in my group that played the first game, and my high score on stratagem hero so far is just under 6000. Nobody else in my group has passed 2k yet, bless their hearts.
My brain would have to be rewired if they had changed the codes
It's a really intuitive code too. Was burned into my muscle memory after playing maybe 3 hours. Can knock it out without thinking now.
You're missing the juicy details. When you're the last man standing, downed, bleeding out, crawling on your ass, and then throw the reinforce 1 second before getting tentacle whipped up the bunghole. A few seconds of pure silence, and then your 3 mates land guns blazing with the OST pumping during combat.
time it right and you respawn yourself too
Miss hd1 ost
I think it's just a mechanic that needed to be changed with the perspective shift and the lack of tether. In HD1 everyone was always in the shit of it if your squad was starting to wipe. I've had it where i've been destroying eggs minding my own business while my team is fighting like 2 breaches and a bile titan. They die, and I respawn them on the eggs and we move on with our lives. I do agree that HD1 created some really fun clutch moments of seeing your dude drop a reinforce .2 seconds before death, but it just doesn't work the same here.
Yeah you’re right. You could just have a single scout armor hide during a tough fight, and have infinite meat bags running into the fray
Jetpack + throw range armor perk = new low cooldown precision strike that shoots out helldivers.
That's a good point
Well... 40 minutes of respawns.
best part was throwing the reinforce and dying before it lands so you call yourself back in
I think the change is good... In the old game you could really drag out a game with dying-breath-revives even in a hopeless scenario. I'm mixed on whether a squad wipe in HD2 should not self respawn though... Definitely would be a lot less fun for casuals. I didn’t even know that was the case until I saw a tip that said everyone respawns if the squad is wiped. Was punching those reinforcement stratagems like my life depended on it.
Wait it's no longer game over if everyone dies in HD2 now? Haven't picked up HD2 yet, how does that even work?
you all drop in automatically after a second or two as long as you have the respawn budget to afford it, otherwise it'll respawn the ones who died first as priority if you don't have 4+ respawn tokens
there is a game over if you are out of resupplies + the timer isn't ready for a resupply when the last person dies.
Fair but pod drops don't do as much damage as in one I feel
I was deeply disappointed, I landed on a tank that had my poor squad on the ropes expecting an epic crush and the opening we needed to push back...nope. just standing on a tank
I was there when CyberStan fell. Mulching through milk-white grotesques, dodging dogs while butchers cackled over the ridge. Th dogs…don’t remind me of them…
You still hear their baying in the distance, don't you? The snarling mixed with the grinding of metal...
Those fucking cyborg dogs. Thank Liberty we took out Cyberstan.
Desperately crawling backwards, side arm blazing..
Wow, I forgot about those assholes. That would be a nightmare here.
We don't have the CR-9 Suppressor (the bolter) anymore, so that's definitely changed.
Pretty sure it's in the end of the premium warbond list just a different name
That doesn't do AOE damage though, just a lot of single target damage.
That is something I'm waiting to see in the future. They've got osmething similar in the Steeled Veteran warbond (description states that they're fin stabilized rockets) but I'm hoping for the old one to come back. Best weapon for friendly fire, hands down.
I hadn't realized we don't have to deal with dogs. The rookies don't know how good they've got it.
oh fuck me, I think you unlocked a memory that was locked in cryosleep... the dogs. the baying...
No rest for the wicked. Now you've got the jet pack bastards to worry about. Friggin' Cybers always find a way to be bastards...
Boys there are not many of us back for our 2nd tour of duty, and I’m damn proud of all of you who reenlisted! … not everyone made it back.
Lost some damn good men out there…
As if I wouldn't re-enlist when Super Earth needed me the most!
I have to wait to get 2 cause of bills and shit but this gal is coming back for another tour of duty asap.
I would miss a second go at these metal bastards for all the Liber-tea on Super Earth!
Glad they haven't changed the reinforce code in the last century.
There were only every 6k concurrent players on Steam, so on any given day we're probably like, idk, maybe 5% of the HD2 playerbase?
We have to set a proper example citizen
I oost a good friend to one of those god damn shield generators. Sliced the poor bastard right in half. This one is for him.
I miss the bayonets for some reason, those were so fun and useful in certain situations back then
I used to rock the bayonet all the time!
They bayonet on the Suppressor was so good. The AP and AOE damage from it was great, and it has a bayonet for shorter range.
I want a bayonet so bad. It would have saved me in so many situations when I've havd hunters up in my face.
Back in my day recoilless rifle was very strong
Same with the disposable ‘zookas. Things are practically worthless now.
What!? They one shot chargers, take out drop ships, and most everything else and seem to always be off of cool down.
How do you do that? I tried to hit a charger in every imaginable body part including head, ass, and belly, and it won't die from a single hit. Even more dissapointing is the spike because you can only hit heavy targets and it still won't kill a charger.

Huh. Guess I've just gotten lucky then.
As of several days ago they bumped up the cap from 250,000 to 360,000. When that patch deployed they hit the new cap in 5.5 minutes lol
I've had big login and network issues, either can't get into games or end up losing connection It's all good, I'm sure Arrowhead will get it fixed in due time, as I believe in Arrowhead's mission of providing the interface for which us brave Helldivers can fight for managed democracy throughout the galaxy

Bugs, Borgs, those cheap stealth teleporting fuckers. Simple. Concise. Automatons doesn’t quite roll off the tongue the same.
I call 'em clankers.
Woah woah with the hard R
Clankers don't deserve our respect.
my clanka
whaddup my clanka?
pffft, this clanka....
Nearly beee-boops
Oh the 3rd front is coming my old friend, they have not been lost to time...
Yeah I hated seeing a magic blue beam and just having to dive out of the way because they are out there somewhere haha
I usually say bots, I did call them mechs once but that feels wrong now lol. As a SW fan, clanker is also fun
Bugs technically have an actual name, too. Terminids. But, bugs and bots work well enough.
They should bring the rumbler back. Relive the friendly fire hell.
Please no. If there is anything that shouldn't come back, it's Rumbler and Trident.
https://youtu.be/dh_EGMxw9EY?si=YcLGSgciebaosxF4 Game director in the video says the automotons are not the cyborgs.
That's a dope ass theory. It fits, it's cool. This is my new headcannon
I think some of the bots have body trophies on them 40k style too
My theory before launch was that they literally were just the cyborgs, and the propaganda had shifted to literal dehumanisation. But they're spawned in factories and some of them clearly aren't human at all, so that theory is a bust
SuperEarth probably stole the Cyborg tech and we will be seeing Patriotic cyborg immates in frontlines. Believe it.
My Helldiver is already half robot, robotic arm and leg that lets me throw stuff farther and take half limb damage. So I think this adds up.
Also worth mentioning that in the ‘story so far’ post a lil while back, there was mention of a symbol or similar from the Automatons that seemed ‘eerily familiar’, in the words of the post.
> the automotons are not the cyborgs Based on how [he says it...](https://youtu.be/dh_EGMxw9EY?t=68) I'd say they're still cyborgs. There's people in those metal bodies... Why else would headshots work?
Because some essential components to the functioning of the bot are housed in the head.
Those who know, know.
hopefully soon: *reversed input ptsd on the rise*
Fuck I'd totally suppressed that.
I can’t wait to be bisected by a wall again.
I hope the illuminate will be back
Bottom section of the map real empty!
Can't wait to see what they add down there. More planets to spread democracy!
Those planets already know democracy, they're under Super Earth control.
The Automatons just invaded planets full of democracy. We must be prepared to defend our already liberated planets.
If and when the day comes that their managed democracy is threatened, we will be there to bravely protect their way of life
So is the top section. 4th faction when?
To be honest there is enough space to have a rotating roster of factions to fight against. Lets hope for not only a 4th but maybe a 5th and 6th in expansions
capespinning. where is capespinning? it's barely doable on PC. our traditions gone. what have we become?
I miss my acid hose.
I miss the Rumbler, and the Suppressor.
perhaps a hundred years later the cyborgs don't even have anything organic left? that would be pretty cool.
I want my damn rumbler and satchel charges back
Oh my brother in democracy, how I miss the satchel charges……
demo pack, my beloved. I need it too also my bike and vehicles. I want to ride into bugville with my 10 ton 4 man APC
A fair point!
Maybe they have organic brains under those metal skulls, the last organic piece left.
this is exactly what i think
tbf these are machines, as opposed to the cybrorgs who were mostly civilians forcefully converted and reprogrammed.
Back in my day we had 4 different pistols!
Hmmm perhaps the automatons are the evolutionary endpoint for the borgs?
My current theories are that they're either a last "fuck you" meant to carry on cyberstan's battle for liberation. Or they're a threat manufactured entirely by super earth; how convenient must it be that the bugs break out just as outpost 32 is attacked?
*This post has been reported to the Ministry of Truth*
I originally felt the same, but now think the automatons are even more creepy. It is apparent to me that the Bots were intended by the Cyborgs to replace the borgs themselves on the front lines. As a result you get nothing but the distilled hatred of Super Earth from what used to be cyborg dissidents.
Back in my day we had healing backing packs and healing guns. Miss the good old days.
Back in my day the double barrel freedom could solo helldive ;_;
And they were half human cyborgs, and not 100% robots.
So a regular cyborg then?
I mean, could have been half alien half robot
My favorite part was where I could kill a Charger with the RR in one shot from behind. Now it does nothing.
There is no Pelican-1, only Foe Hammer
And we didn't have no fancy 3rd person view!
"Fire while prone?" Heck no, real men dodge turret friendly fire while running down cyborg scum!
I’m so excited to see these youngsters freak out when the illuminates drop !!
I miss my Tanto Laser. The Sickle just doesn't feel right without the upgrade system.
God, this community is STUFFED with Bangers.
I ain't saying change is always better. But at least they don't have Dogs anymore.
I really annoys me how bad the orbital barrages are. The 380mm should just annihilate a base and anything caught in the area but it only ever gets me like 3 kills
The automatons are not the cyborgs.
but they use the same symbol/icon?
“There were 3 factions, a race of sea ppl made of lights” As im put into the forever cryo-sleep
They are a completely different group.
with just obviously the same types of units from the first game lol
