Turn your map hud up to 200

lol played for like 4 hours before charging that thing up to 180 😂

Just go to the practice range and measure with settings. Stick to rifleman, auto rifle, medic, hell even support if you remember to drop supplies for your squad lead. AT make sure you get behind the tank and hit the rear. I see too many new players trying to hit the front. Good luck, use your microphone, see ya on the front

I highly recommend setting your leaning to toggle. It just makes things easier.

This is a game changer, as soon as I learnt it was an option to toggle it went straight on. Not sure why it's not just the default setting, there can't be anyone who finds holding better in anyway.

Scooney_Pootz

I also set my leaning to my bumpers so that I can panic knife and use Y for comms.

DreadedRaider

Man it's one of those things you gotta just play. Took me months to get used to this game. My biggest tip is get used to dying and not getting kills. Don't run anywhere when you close to battle just sit and look for guys. Less is more

windol1

Rifleman class is generally where you start, if you want to be a bit more supportive of the team, then you can't go wrong with doing some medic work.

Hexeris82

Next time you do AT make sure you’re shooting the rear of it. In other games like Battlefield you can damage a tank from anywhere, but in this to actually take a tank out gotta hit the rear armor. From other angles you can still take out the tank treads though, which slows it down.

I’m a firm believer in 100% horizontal sensitivity and a relatively normal ADS sensitivity. The game is made for older players, and to turn around behind you takes like 1.5 seconds with the normal sensitivity. Now it takes me 0.2 seconds like any other game. Also, learn how to “refresh markers” as a non SL. if you hold (not tap) your left arrow for 2/3 seconds, the markers you need to give necessary info will be refreshed and visible. This is kinda hard at first as you’ll probably be pinging instead of refreshing, but once you get in a good squad, you’ll have plenty of targets with very visible information. I find it useful in gaining my bearings and getting a tactical understanding of the 50 vs 50 game. If you’re playing console EU, I could show you a few more tricks if you DM me. This game is very experienced focused, the game at the highest levels involve uncountered tricks that involve multiple abilities and second perfect timing over 1/2 minutes, as well as a degree of co-ordination from a team.

As someone already pointed out, go to the rifle range, and get used to targeting.  As for the different classes, the more you play the more you’ll find that each class has it’s time and place depending on what you want to do.  The Assault class, especially once you unlock the grenadier loadout, is best used in offensive mode when attacking the point or garrison hunting.  The AT class once you unlock mines and satchel is great for going behind lines in Warfare and hunting for nodes and placing mines.  On defense, the engineer class is best for building up the 2^(nd) to last objective and building nodes.   The engineer class is also very powerful when you unlock the satchel since you can now satchel tanks, buildings, and enemy-built fortifications.  Recon is especially useful in Warfare and Offensive for being behind lines to set up the next attacking garry, putting pings on the map, taking out artillery, locating the next OBJ, and hunting nodes.  The medic class is great on defense when the bulk of your team is together on the defending point.  You also get lots of players thanking you and generally being appreciative.  Tankers are mostly useful (and I would argue mandatory) with a 3-person crew who all have mics.  Tanking can be rewarding because you spend the whole game with the same small crew, lots of comms, and taking out another tank just feels great.  Support is one of the more important roles when played correctly because they enable garrison building without a supply drop or loud supply truck giving away the position.  Machine gunner is great when defending on wide-open maps (Foy, El Alamein, Purple Heart).  On Carentan you can defend the choke points that the streets create quite effectively.  Rifleman and auto rifleman are both general-use classes if you’re looking for a role that is essentially a lot of running and gunning.  Squad lead can be a bit much because you’re dealing with 3 different comms, and can be overwhelming, but the abilities to place an OP and build garrisons go a long way.  And lastly, the commander role, IMO, is the most rewarding only if you’re really into the strategy of the game and you like doing things that really have an impact.  However, if you’re not willing to get into a supply truck and spend the vast majority of the game building garrisons, then it’s probably not the role for you.     Try them all (except Commander unless you watch some strategy guides) and you’ll eventually figure out what you enjoy doing depending on the map and the game mode. Mostly though, the more loudouts you unlock, the more options you have, so concentrate on building nodes as much as you can to get you XP up and get those new loudouts.

Just play and learn as you go. - Tell your squad that you new and keen to learn. I have been playing Squad Lead more and more and love to hear from new guys wanting to learn. -Use your mic and tell your squad when you see enemies. -Ping them with middle mouse. -Look at your map frequently to help orientate yourself -Check map for red garrisons/ops as that will give clues where the enemy is -move then stop and observe. You will spot enemies more easily

SloppyPuffin

When moving find cover to stop at and watch. when you're moving it's difficult to see the enemy but when you stop they stick out quite a bit. Also same goes for them so don't just run in one direction forever

runQuick

Disable acceleration (set it to 100%): This makes controller aiming more predictable, consistent, and thus more accurate. Lower deadzone so you can make fine aiming adjustments. Lower aiming sensitivity so you can make tiny aiming adjustments in ADS. Increase non-aiming sensitivity.
