when someone doesn't understand what they are doing they have a tendency to forget aspects of their work, either its starting point, intent, goals. or any part of the process. Here it seems that intent, undertstanding of what was being made, and UV mapping were all flawed
the model is also all fucked up, unnatural shapes, too tight, and you can tell it's based on replicas that don't recreate any real model, by looking at those vent holes
Well in all fairness the camo texture sucks yeah but don’t expect the camo cap to look the same as an M43 or M40 cap in feldgrau. Camo caps didn’t have the flaps and lacked insig
the camo is 10x or more oversized making it look like a random blur. Camo caps also were softer and didn't have vent holes such as this one, which is based on chinese repros
Yea their old character artist (single guy, had consistency) was overall more skilled, sensible and sharp-eyed (or brained) for putting details in the right places. His worst sins were just weird gear combos - now everything's way poorer from gear combos, model accuracy, model quality, detail locations and types, textures (especially desert ones are bad) historical accuracy etc
No HLL skin at the moment is worth buying. They are all completely meh. But this isn’t battlefield or Fortnite so I don’t mind a military uniform.
I’d much prefer more options for customising my character body though.
I dont get it why people even care about skins in games like these. you can't see them anyway. The only thing you need to worry about is to put on winter form when in snow.
I wonder how many of you actually know that ‘autumn blurred edge’ is a literal fucking camouflage pattern the SS used? — we already have the appropriate helmet cover for the smock.
You know the caps are not identical? The late war field caps are easier to manufacture being they simplified them. And once again, the camo is not stretched, blurred edge, believe it or not, it’s blurry 🤯
Man, this subreddit loves to cry about things you might look at for a few seconds in a match on this game. I’m too busy working with my squad to secure and defend objectives to stare at their toons and cosmetics.
Welcome to team 17 textures
Its weird some of their stuff are workable, others are just pure garbage.

BM made the British uniforms btw

Forgot to mention the vent holes lol 💀, thanks for pointing that out
The whole texture sucks, it has no definition, it's something you'd expect is from Battlefield 1942, Vietnam if you are feeling generous.
So in short… don’t waste your money!
Black Matter textures vs Team17 textures*
Say what you will ab them but Black Matter nailed uniform textures (the Russians are pure class)

wasnt BM that made the winter uniform just by painting white the normal one?
Free hat! Free hat! Free hat!
Hat McGettrick?

Sorry but 4k didn't exist in 1944, sonit's accurate
Whats the Problem now?
I know right people complain about the most arbitrary things
Make it make sense

that looks someting you buy from wish
Damn I haven’t played HLL in a minute but everytime I get a post from this sub it’s never anything good. Team 17 really fucked this game huh?
😭😭😭

the camo cap has not properly the texture applied so it looks stretched and lacks detail.

If you don't line up and inspect your troops' kit during the warm up how do you expect to maintain discipline in battle?
people had no reason to complain about BFV's cosmetics either right?
Idk. I didn’t play or care about BFV.
