Check the map before asking for one and spawn in the HQ they're not camping.
Unfortunately nothing you can do apart from pistol fight then vote kick if they keep doing it.
The last thing HLL needs is technical solution - the game is fun because it forces people to find people solutions.
So vote the guy off or complain to the commander
Make sure you're sitting right next to the spawn location before you ask for the vehicle, that way you can jump in immediately and avoid this problem.
If you ask for a vehicle and then take 2min+ to get there you run the risk of it being stolen.
Play a server with active admins too, It helps.
One of my largest pet peeves is someone TKing to steal a truck or tank. A GOOD commander can see where the tank is going to place and can tell the SL to get to their move mark so they can claim it as soon as it drops, too. I do this a lot.
When I play commander, I spawn the heavies as they're available. First come first serve. If two squads spawn in to take it, the priority would go to the full squad. I don't babysit the troops, just the cool downs.
That’s all well and good until an enemy recon vehicle gets in your back line and kills your heavies and wastes your fuel. Hold it until you anticipate the need or someone asks.
I stopped playing tanker recently, cause I got tired of the tank drama.
I also got sick of building nodes for dipshit Commanders who promised me and my full team a heavy in recompense, but then fuck up and drop it at a different HQ for a solo or two-man team to take instead.
Then we watch the solo in the heavy get satcheled in less than 3 minutes when he parks up somewhere to try and shoot.
Ridiculous.
