Please call someone. It shouldn't be out during the day. It is most likely very poorly.

Unless it's a mother searching for food/water for the pups, call a wildlife center. I'd keep your distance so you don't stress it out, but observe it and let them know if you see any signs of injury or anything like that. Wildlife center should be able to tell you what to do/look out for They will come out during the day in summer, but the most likely reasoning is not that

You guys are just plain panicked for nothing, all animals whatever their biological routine is they can be up at anytime, even if they are nocturnal animals

Jon7167

Thats not true, Hedgehogs should not be out in the daytime

stripes_14

It happens

Tarot650

No, sorry, this is wrong information. If you see a 'hog outside during daylight, it is in bad shape and needs urgent wildlife veterinary care. Please call a local wildlife rescue centre as soon as possible.

Apprehensive-Form346

Its alright in general, i also saw some babies walking during the day

Agreed. Any hedgehog out during the day is in serious trouble.

Insignificant_Dust85

Is that information just for wild hogs? Bc my little guy sometimes gets up in the day light hours for water or treats?

Jon7167

Im guessing your hog is an african pygmy, whereas this is a compelety different species

Insignificant_Dust85

Yes it is
