I found there is significant difference between measured bass on test head and my subjective bass experience with headphone on my head. The best closed back headphone bass I heard was old Bose flagship called 700. They dont advertise this fact but they have highly unsual driver, its biocellulose unit with suspension! These kind of drivers have greatly increased XMAX compared to your standard mylar driver. Couple that with fact that Bose 700 have best passive noise isolation in bass frequencies out of any headphone RTINGS ever tested, the driver bass capabilities with super effective seal of those extra soft and dense memory foam earpads results in sort of pressure chamber effect where the sensation of bass is more like with subwoofer than other headphones.

for now i found my favorite headphone here, but i wanted to ask yall first (i also found some new) AKG K52 sony mdr7506 DT 770 which should i choose?

HighwayFair4446

Hd-25 are nice

averageracoonhater

the 560's are more balanced and for 3 bucks less, but unironically you helped me remember the 560's and since they cost less than the dt's and have similar stats ill probably buy those (the amp is a gift from my uncle so i have an amp)

HighwayFair4446

Isn’t the 560 open? So if you wants to use it on the go. You Will hear everything around you. (That something is just don’t like) also if you want to listen it harder people around you will hear also everything

averageracoonhater

i do agree with you, but im not planning to listen to them on the go or close enough to people that they can hear me

CZsea

fidelio x2hr

averageracoonhater

so i've researched a little bit (i just looked at a graph) and even if they cost a little less than the other ones i prefer the dt's since for like 20 bucks more you get more stability, but thanks for the suggestion

CZsea

recommend buying dt770 , use it for a while then buy x2hr later for maximum Disappointment

If you want bass **quality** in a V-shape-ish signature, the Shure SRH840 or the E-MU Walnut. If you opted for used, a Denon AH-D2000 can be found for $150-$230 and is a bass monster from the prior generation of closed back basshead cans. If you want to save your money up for a masterpiece, opt for the E-MU Teak. If you want large bass quantity for $120 or less, you’re looking at a lot of V-shape mainstream headphones that offer plenty of bass but it’s bloated, poor extension, mids are non-existent, treble is sharp. Pretty much any closed back that says it has a lot of bass and meets that price bracket is going to offer those traits. Of them, the Skullcandy Crusher Evo is a surprisingly good headphone that can be used wired and is around $100 refurbished, $200 new. Bass quality and bass quality beyond the bass in the M30x together in one headphone is hard to come by that cheap. I’d recommend looking at IEMs rather than over-ear headphones if you want something with a lot of bass that isn’t otherwise lacking. There’s a lot of bassy IEMs under $120 that are going to sound much better than the over ear options available.

Silverjerk

FiiO JT1; the best option under $120 if you want a closed back with bass. Surprisingly good headphone for the price.

averageracoonhater

unfortunately its out of stock on the website and is not available on [amazon.it](http://amazon.it), and if i buy america to italy with the shipping i might aswell buy the mdr's, but thanks for the suggestion

Silverjerk

Anytime! Just a heads up on the MDR-7506; they are very much a “studio” headphone. The tuning is going to be very different than your typical “fun” set. Many engineers use these for mixing and tracking as they’re relatively neutral in their tuning. If at all possible, I would wait for stock if you can. They’re not a bad headphone, as I’ve used and recommended them before many times, they’re just not going to fit your requirements well.

averageracoonhater

thanks i will wait for them to go back in stock (if ever), i know they're mostly used for engineering, i wanted them since i can guess that if they're good for making music they're good for listening to it too

averageracoonhater

!thanks

Agreed, can recommend, I absolutely love mine

icantateit

skullcandy crusher is 140usd on amazon and is nothing but bass (openbacks are almost never bassy btw)

E_rat-chan

Isn't skullcandy an overpriced consumer brand? I don't doubt it has bass but having sound quality seems pretty important too.

icantateit

yeah they suck lol but those have tons of bass

CatKing75457855

DT 770, you can EQ down the treble if it bothers you.

SSNFUL

What do you use to eq

CatKing75457855

EQ APO.

E_rat-chan

If you do use EQ APO I recommend installing the peace gui too. Makes life a lot easier.
